WELKOM!
26e editie van het Internationaal Pinkstertoernooi
Het is al traditie sinds 1990: in het pinksterweekend komen honkbal- en softbaljeugdteams
uit binnen- en buitenland naar HCAW voor dit prachtige toernooi. Elk jaar ontvangen we
weer een groot aantal oude bekenden en maken we ook weer nieuwe vrienden. Dit jaar
verwelkomen we 36 teams uit vijf verschillende landen.
Wat gaan de deelnemers en de toeschouwers meemaken? Ten eerste een fantastisch mooi
toernooi met veel interessante en spannende honkbal- en softbalwedstrijden. Er wordt een
serieus programma afgewerkt en aan het eind huldigen we de kampioenen. En verder is het
toernooi een gezellig samenzijn met honkbal- en softballiefhebbers, er is een loterij, er zijn
diverse kraampjes met lekkere hapjes en drankjes, de HCAW-winkel heeft mooie spulletjes
in de aanbieding en op zondagavond is er een grootse barbecue.
Zoals elk jaar is er een commissie van enthousiaste vrijwilligers die dit toernooi organiseert
en een grote groep vrijwilligers die helpt op de velden, bij het wedstrijdsecretariaat, in de
kantines, bij de kraampjes, de EHBO enzovoort. Heel veel dank voor al jullie hulp!
Verder zijn we heel blij met onze sponsoren die ons helpen om het toernooi mogelijk te
maken.
En last but not least: dank aan alle scheidsrechters voor het leiden van alle wedstrijden!

WELCOME, WILKOMMEN, BIENVENUE, VÍTEJTE!
26th edition of the International Pinkstertoernooi
It has been a tradition since 1990: in the weekend of Pentacost baseball and softball youth
teams from many countries in Europe come to HCAW for this fantastic tournament. Each
year we welcome a large number of old friends and we meet new ones. This year we expect
36 teams from five different countries.
What experience can participants and supporters expect?
First of all a fantastic tournament with many interesting and exciting baseball and softball
games. At the end of the two-day program we will honour the champions.
Next to this you can expect the company of many baseball and softball fans, there will a
raffle, there will be food and beverages and a baseball shop with many attractive offers.
And Sunday evening there will be a barbecue.
As each year, the organizing committee is supported by a large group of volunteers to assist
in the various jobs on the field, in the tournament office, in the canteen, at the food stalls,
with the first aid etc. Many thanks to all of you!
And of course we are very thankful for the support we get from our sponsors; their
contribution to our tournament is very much appreciated, indeed.
And last but not least: thanks to the umpires for leading all the games during the
tournament.

Toernooireglement en Informatie
1.
Naam, plaats, deelnemers, inschrijfgeld, tijden, aanwezigheid
HCAW’s Internationale Pinkstertoernooi voor Jeugdteams Honkbal en Softbal wordt gehouden aan de Zanderijweg te Bussum, op
de terreinen van HCAW en voetbalvereniging AW. Deelnemers zijn honkbal pupillen, aspiranten en junioren, en softbal aspiranten.
Bezoekende verenigingen betalen een inschrijfgeld van € 95,- per team.
Het toernooi wordt geopend op zondag 24 mei om 9.15 uur en afgesloten op maandag 25 mei om ca. 17.30 uur. Alle teams zijn
voltallig en in clubtenue aanwezig bij zowel de opening als de prijsuitreiking. Alle deelnemende teams worden verzocht om zich
zondag voor de opening om 9:05 uur rustig naar het hoofdveld te begeven.
Zondag zullen alle wedstrijden stipt om 9:30 uur beginnen. Op maandag zal dit om 9:00 uur zijn. Het wedstrijdschema voor
maandag wordt zondagavond bekend gemaakt. Voor HB U22 en SB U17 zijn alle wedstrijden voor maandag al vastgesteld aan het
begin van het toernooi.
Tijden kunnen wijzigen, de laatste informatie is altijd beschikbaar bij het toernooikantoor.
2.
Leiding
De leiding van het toernooi berust bij de toernooileiding. Deze beslist in alle gevallen waarin dit reglement niet voorziet.
3.
Vooraf spelerslijsten opsturen, melden bij aankomst
Elk deelnemend team levert, uiterlijk 2 weken vóór aanvang van het toernooi, bij de organisatie in: een lijst met de namen en
geboortedata van de spelers, alsook de namen van coaches/begeleiders en scheidsrechter(s).
Bezoekende teams melden zich (in de persoon van coaches en scheidsrechters) na aankomst terstond bij de toernooileiding.
De toernooileiding kan om een identiteitsbewijs vragen.
4.
Coachmeeting
Voor buitenlandse deelnemers wordt op zaterdag 23 mei 2015 om 17:30 uur een korte bijeenkomst belegd voor coaches en
scheidsrechters om laatste wijzigingen, planning en spelregeldetails te bespreken.
5.
Wedstrijdschema
Er wordt gespeeld volgens het vooraf door de toernooileiding bekend gemaakte wedstrijdschema. Bij onvoorziene omstandigheden
kan de toernooileiding dit schema op elk moment wijzigen.

 15 minuten voor de max. speeltijd mag er geen nieuwe inning meer gestart worden.
 15 minuten voor de max. speeltijd bij een voorstand van het thuisspelende team, hoeft de inning niet afgemaakt te worden.
 indien de gelijkmakende slagbeurt in de lopende inning 10 minuten voor de max. speeltijd nog niet is begonnen dan wordt
de lopende inning niet uitgespeeld en telt de stand van de laatst volledig gespeelde inning als einduitslag.
 Als de gelijkmakende slagbeurt al loopt vóór de 10 minuten einde speeltijd, dan mag er doorgespeeld worden tot uiterlijk 5
minuten na de eigenlijke max. speeltijd. De laatste volledig gespeelde inning geldt als eindstand.
Tussen de innings en bij een pitcherwissel, mag de pitcher max. 6 ballen gooien ter warming-up. De scheidsrechters wordt gevraagd
hier extra goed op te letten om de ”snelheid” in de wedstrijd zo hoog mogelijk te houden.
7.
De wedstrijduitslag
De uitslag van de wedstrijd is de stand na de laatste volledig gespeelde inning. Echter, als het "thuis" spelende team aan slag is én
voor staat op het moment van staken, telt de stand op het moment van staken als uitslag als dit een voordeliger runsaldo oplevert.
8.
Punten, gelijke stand
Elke gewonnen wedstrijd levert de winnaar 2 wedstrijdpunten op. Een gelijkspel levert beide teams 1 wedstrijdpunt op.
Wanneer in een poule twee of meer teams een gelijk aantal wedstrijdpunten hebben, geldt voor de einduitslag achtereenvolgens:
het runsaldo (gescoorde runs min de tegenruns over alle wedstrijden)
het totaal aantal runs (over alle wedstrijden)
het minst aantal punten tegen (over alle wedstrijden)
het onderlinge resultaat

Voor honkbal pupillen en aspiranten geldt dat aan het eind van de eerste speeldag de uitslagen verwerkt worden en er een
“winners poule” en een “runners-up” poule worden samengesteld volgens bovenstaande regels. Op dag 2 beginnen al deze poules
weer met een lege score, de scores van de eerste dag tellen niet meer mee in bovengenoemde regels.
Honkbal junioren speelt een eigen competitie met wedstrijden verdeeld over twee dagen. Voor softbal geldt dit ook voor beide
poules, zij spelen elk een eigen competitie met wedstrijden verdeeld over twee dagen.
9.
Scheidsrechters
Deelnemende verenigingen zorgen voor gekwalificeerde scheidsrechters die tijdens het gehele toernooi inzetbaar zijn. Bij 1 of 2
deelnemende teams levert men 1 scheidsrechter; bij 3 of meer deelnemende teams 2 scheidsrechters. Scheidsrechters melden zich
bij aankomst terstond bij de toernooileiding. Scheidsrechters zorgen zelf voor een volledige uitrusting.
10. Spelregels algemeen
De wedstrijden worden gespeeld conform de laatste uitgave van de officiële spelregels van de KNBSB. Voor alle wedstrijden geldt
het “Reglement van Wedstrijden” van de KNBSB, tenzij in dit toernooireglement afwijkende bepalingen zijn opgenomen.
11. 6-puntenregel
Tijdens het toernooi wordt de 6-puntenregel gehanteerd: er wordt gewisseld bij 3 nullen, maar ook wanneer de slagploeg in haar
slagbeurt 6 punten heeft gescoord. Mocht door een homerun een honkloper het 6de punt scoren, dan worden ook de punten van
de slagman die de homerun sloeg, en eventueel andere honklopers meegeteld.

We verzoeken de coaches dringend om zich aan deze aantallen te houden en vooral hun gezonde verstand te gebruiken.
13. Uit/thuis, wedstrijdballen, scoren
Het team dat in het wedstrijdprogramma als eerste staat genoemd, speelt “thuis”. Het thuisspelende team zorgt voor voldoende
wedstrijdballen. Zie ook 15 Bijzondere bepalingen pupillen honkbal (Under 13).
Het “uit” spelende team verzorgt het scoren. Scorekaarten moeten tijdig worden afgehaald bij de toernooileiding door het
“uit”spelende team en direct na afloop van de wedstrijd daar weer worden ingeleverd. De scorekaart moet zijn ondertekend door
beide coaches van de teams.
14. Spikes
Het dragen van metalen spikes is uitsluitend toegestaan voor junioren (Under 22).
15. Bijzondere bepalingen pupillen honkbal (Under 13)
De wedstrijden worden volgens de regels van de KNBSB gespeeld.
In de B-Poule is de slagman uit bij 3 slag (geen “checking”).

In de A-poule mag de slagman het 1 honk stelen bij een 3 slagbal als de bal niet gevangen wordt door de catcher/doorgeschoten
bal, echter de coaches kunnen voor de wedstrijd afspreken i.o. met de scheidsrechter om gewoon “3 slag = uit” te spelen.
Zoals genoemd in regel 13, zorgt het thuisteam voor wedstrijdballen. Als het thuisteam niet over de juiste ballen beschikt (zie regel
20), kan het uitteam voor ballen zorgen. Als geen van beide teams de juiste ballen heeft, kunnen de teams afspreken met een
andere soort ballen te spelen.
16. Accepteren
Beslissingen van de scheidsrechters zijn bindend; protesten zijn niet toegestaan.
17. Aansprakelijkheid
De organiserende vereniging HCAW aanvaardt geen aansprakelijkheid voor schade aan of vermissing van goederen en/of
materialen. HCAW aanvaardt geen aansprakelijkheid voor lichaamlijk letsel. De toernooiorganisatie zorgt voor beschikbaarheid van
EHBO en er is een ziekenhuis in de buurt.

Op beide pinksterdagen kan - indien de weersomstandigheden daartoe aanleiding geven - vanaf 8.00 uur telefonisch contact
worden opgenomen met de toernooileiding op het terrein, telefoonnummer 035-6569204 of 06-21201618.
19. Wijziging reglement sinds 2014
Er kunnen maximaal 15 spelers worden opgenomen op de line-up voor een wedstrijd. Al deze spelers komen in deze volgorde aan
slag. Negen spelers hebben een veldpositie, de overige spelers niet. De volgorde van de line-up blijft hetzelfde tijdens de wedstrijd
ongeacht veldpositiewijzigingen. De slagvolgorde van de line-up mag tijdens de wedstrijd niet worden gewijzigd. Uitzondering:
spelers die tijdens de wedstrijd geblesseerd raken en niet meer kunnen spelen, vervallen in de line-up.
Het inbrengen van een resevespeler die niet op de line-up staat, is niet toegestaan.
Voor deze nieuwe regel is de scorecard uitgebreid tot maximaal 15 spelers.

Tournament regulations and information
1.
Name, venue, competitors, fees, time schedule, attendance
HCAW’s International Pinkstertoernooi for Baseball and Softball youth will be held at the HCAW Baseball and Softball Club on the
Zanderijweg in Bussum and the adjoining AW soccer club. Contestants this year are Under 13 baseball (level A and B), Under 16
baseball, Under 22 baseball, and Under 17 softball teams A and B level. Visiting clubs have to pay an entrance fee of € 95,- per
team. The tournament opening ceremony will be held at 09:15 am on Sunday May 24th. The teams are to gather on the main
diamond at 9:05 am.
All baseball and softball games will start at 9:30 am on Sunday and at 9:00 am on Monday. The game schedule for Monday will be
determined Sunday evening. For HB U22 and SB U17 the Monday schedule is already set from the start of the tournament.
The closing ceremony will be held at approximately 5:30 pm on Monday May 25th. All teams are expected to attend these events
dressed in club uniforms.
Times are subject to change, so please check schedules at the tournament office regularly.
2.
Management
The tournament staff is in charge during the tournament. This staff can delegate responsibility. The tournament will be played by
the tournament regulations. In any unforeseen circumstances, the tournament staff will make a decision.
3.
List of team members
Two weeks before the start of the tournament all competing teams must send in a complete list of all players in the team. This list
must be sent to the tournament staff [email protected]. All players’ names and birthdates should be included in the list
as well as the names of the coaches and umpires. On arrival in Bussum, coaches and umpires of each team must immediately check
in at the tournament office. Id cards may be requested.
4.
Coach meeting
A coach meeting will be held for all international teams on Saturday May 23rd at 5:30 pm, the day before the start of the
tournament. All coaches and umpires are invited to attend this meeting for a briefing.
5.
Game schedule
The game schedule is made up by the tournament staff before the start of the games and may be subject to change.
6.
Duration of the games
Baseball U22: max 75 mins.
Baseball U16: max 70 mins.
Softball U17: max 70 mins.
Baseball U13: max 65 mins.

15 minutes before end of playtime, no new inning will be started.

If the home team already has a better score 15 minutes before end of playtime, this inning does not need to be
completed.

If 10 minutes before end of playtime the bottom of the inning is not yet started, the current inning will be suspended and
the result will be the score at the last completed inning.

If the bottom of the inning is already started 10 minutes before end of playtime, a maximum of 5 minutes extra playtime
is allowed. If the inning is not finished by then, the current inning will be suspended and the result will be the score at the
last completed inning.
Between the innings, and when changing pitchers, the pitcher is allowed only 6 warming up pitches. The umpires are strongly
advised to enforce these special rules to speed up the games as much as possible.
7.
The result of the game
The score of the game will be the score after the last full inning. There is one exception to this rule: if the game is suspended in the
bottom of the inning and the home team has the lead, then this higher score will count if this gives a higher run balance.
8.
Points, draw
For every win, 2 game points will be awarded to the winner. In case of a draw both teams will get 1 game point. The losing team
will not receive any game point.
If 2 or more teams in a poule have an equal number of game points the following ranking order will be used:
Total run balance (of all games played)
Total runs (of all games played)
Least total runs against (of all games)
Result of the game played between the tying teams

Number of times 3rd, 2nd and 1st base is reached in all games
Number of times 3rd, 2nd and 1st base is reached in games between the tying teams
The flip of a coin, done by the tournament staff
At the end of the first day, baseball U13 and U16 poules are split and merged to a winner and runners-up poule to determine the
overall winners. The second day all baseball poules U13 and U16 have a fresh start and the scores of the first day are not counted.
Baseball U22 plays its own poule with games spread over two days.
Softball teams play only in their own poule and therefore they will play a full competition spread over two days.

Umpires
All competing clubs must register qualified umpires. These umpires need to be available on both tournament days. If a club takes
part with 1 or 2 teams, then 1 umpire is required. If the club takes part with 3 or more teams, then 2 umpires must be available.
Umpires are required to meet with the tournament staff at the start of the tournament. They are expected to have their own gear.
10. General rules
The games are played by the latest edition of the official rules of the Royal Dutch Baseball and Softball Association (KNBSB). For all
games the 'Reglement van Wedstrijden' of the KNBSB will apply, unless the tournament rules indicate differently.
11. 6-Run ruling
During the tournament the 6-run rule will apply: after 3 outs an inning is over, but also after the team at bat has scored 6 runs in 1
inning. Exception: if the team has scored more than 6 runs as a result of a homerun, all these runs will count.

Royal Dutch Baseball and Softball Association (KNBSB) advices the following maximum pitch counts:

We ask coaches to pay special attention to these limits.
13. Away/home, balls, scorecards
The team named first in the game schedule is the home team. They supply the game balls (See also 15. Special baseball Under 13
regulations).
The visitors fill in the scorecard. Scorecards are supplied by the tournament staff and must be picked up by the visiting team. They
must be signed by the coaches of both teams and returned to the tournament staff immediately following the end of the game.
14. Spikes
Only Under 22 Baseball teams are allowed to wear metal spiked shoes.
15. Special baseball Under 13 regulations
Games are played according to the rules of the Dutch Baseball Association. Following rules apply for Under 13 only.
At the lowest level (B), the batter is out after 3 strikes (no checking).
At the highest level (A), a batter may steal to first base when the ball is dropped by the catcher, however, before the start of the
game the coaches of both teams can decide to play by the '3 strikes out' rule.
As stated in rule 13, the home team must supply the balls for the game. If the home team does not possess the type of balls that
goes with the level of play (see rule 20), the away team can supply the balls. In case none of the teams possess the correct type of
balls then the teams can agree to use a different type of ball.
16. Umpires' decisions
All decisions by the umpires are final: protests are not possible.
17. Liability
The organizing club HCAW does not accept any liability for any damage or loss of items and/or materials.
HCAW does not accept any liability for any physical injuries. During the tournament we have first aid assistance available and a
hospital is nearby.

19. Change of Rules since 2014
A maximum of 15 players appear on the line-up for a game. All these players will bat in the order of this line-up. Nine players have a
position in the field, the others don’t. The order of the line-up remains the same during the game, changes in field position are
allowed. The batting order of the line-up cannot be changed during the game. Exception: a player who gets injured during the game
and can’t continue playing, is removed from the line-up.
It is not allowed to add a player to the line-up during the game.
For this new rule, the scorecard has changed to allow a maximum of 15 players.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
SATURDAY
All international teams are expected to arrive at the HCAW Baseball and Softball Valley on Saturday
May 23rd. Please email your planned time of arrival, so we know when to expect you.
Upon arrival the players that will stay with a guest family will meet their family, who will take them
home for dinner at their home.
Players and coaches who sleep in the practice hall, will stay at the HCAW Baseball and Softball Valley.
They will be served a light meal in the canteen between 18:00 and 19:00 hours (no charge). Vouchers
for this meal will be supplied upon arrival.
Coach meeting
At 17:30 hours a coach meeting will be held. coaches and umpires are invited to attend this meeting
for a briefing.
SUNDAY
The tournament will be opened on Sunday morning at 09:15 hours and the first games will begin at
09:30 hours. Throughout the day there are various stalls to visit. For example a hotdog stand, a
lottery stand and the HCAW baseball & softball shop.
After the games it is possible to enjoy a BBQ meal.
During the meal you can watch a baseball game of HCAW’s Rookie team at the main field.
Please pre-order for the BBQ by sending an email to [email protected] subject 'BBQ
pinkstertoernooi' and make the payment in advance (see below).
Costs are € 10,00 per person, reservation is required. A limited amount of tickets will be available on
the day itself for € 12,50 p/p.
MONDAY
This is the last day of the tournament. Activities will be similar to first day. The new timetable will be
available at the tournament office and the website.
Award ceremony is expected to begin around 17:30 hours, after the last game is played. All teams
are expected to depart after the ceremony.
Vouchers
Vouchers are available for the Saturday light meal and Sunday BBQ. The Saturday vouchers are free
of charge for guests staying in the practice hall.
Parking:
Parking is permitted in designated parking spots only. Please note that the police will ticket any
illegally parked cars. All parking (also in legal spots!) is at the car owner's risk (beware of foul balls!).
More parking facilities are available just beyond the entrance at the right.
Please keep clear the special parking spots designated for disabled drivers. Parking here without a
special permit is illegal.

AANVULLENDE INFORMATIE
ZONDAG
De teams worden om uiterlijk 9:00 uur verwacht bij de wedstrijdleiding. Om 9:15 uur zal het toernooi
officieel geopend worden en daarna zullen de eerste wedstrijden beginnen om 9:30 uur.
Er zijn kraampjes met eten en honkbalartikelen, er is een loterij en er zijn andere activiteiten.
’s Avonds na de wedstrijden is het mogelijk om van de traditionele BBQ te genieten. De kosten
hiervan zijn €10,- per persoon bij vooraf betalen. Op de dag zelf zijn beperkt tickets te koop voor
€12,50 maar OP=OP.
MAANDAG
Maandag is de laatste dag van het toernooi. Op deze dag vinden dezelfde soort activiteiten plaats als
op de eerste dag. De prijsuitreiking en eindceremonie vinden plaats na afloop van de laatste
wedstrijd (ongeveer 17:30 uur).
De aanvangstijd van het toernooi op maandag voor uw team hangt af van het resultaat van zondag.
Deze informatie kunt u op zondag na de verwerking van alle wedstrijden krijgen bij de
wedstrijdleiding. U ontvangt kort voor het toernooi een wedstrijdschema van alle wedstrijden met
daarbij de aanvangstijden.
Wij verwachten dat alle teams pas na de eindceremonie en de uitreiking van de prijzen (en een leuk
aandenken!) aan het toernooi vertrekken. Dit is wel zo sportief naar de organisatie en de andere
deelnemende teams.

Parkeren:
Aan de Zanderijweg geldt buiten de vakken een parkeerverbod dat strikt gehandhaafd wordt:
overtreding leidt vrijwel zeker tot een boete van de politie. Ook waar toegestaan, is parkeren op de
Zanderijweg op eigen risico i.v.m. foutballen.
Een groot parkeerterrein vindt u iets voorbij de ingang aan de rechterkant.
