Celestial Garden, represent the Aurora Borealis, which can sometimes be seen at
night. On returning from an outing with dog sleds or canoes, you may meet artists
and musicians who play traditional Quebec music. Or take a walk at the Halte
Lacustre – camping or picnicking, the numerous small beaches are a haven of
perfect peace and quiet. And of course, the unspoiled Lake Grand Squatec!

Here is the perfect sports destination! A friendly family ski centre with downhill ski
slopes, cross country ski trails and inner tube sliding with a lift. Or maybe you prefer
snowmobiling, snowshoeing or quad biking? You're in the right place. As for hunting
and fishing enthusiasts, they'll be delighted with the local outfitters. What's more,
Biencourt is the only place for miles around where you can enjoy delicious smoked
meat, Montreal style! And of course, the lovely and natural Lake Biencourt!

Saint-Juste-du-Lac, summer and winter waterways
Southern gateway to the Valley of the Lakes – come by canoe or kayak, by sail, by
road or by bike. Or you can even come on foot on the National Hiking Trail, crossing
on your way the splendid suspended footbridge overlooking the River Touladi. In
summer, the ferry Le Corégone plies the shores of Saint-Juste-du-Lac and
Notre-Dame-du-Lac, giving a wonderful view of Lake Témiscouata. In winter the two
municipalities are joined by an ice bridge, the only one of its kind. Whether you are
a pedestrian or a motorist, excitement is guaranteed! One of the two entrances to
the Lake Témiscouata National Park is situated here. And of course, the huge and
magical Lake Témiscouata!

Lac-des-Aigles, wildlife and horses
Northern gateway to the Valley of the Lakes, this is an excellent place for bird
watching. Bald eagles and sand martins can be seen here. Don't forget your camera!
From the lookout at the illuminated cross, there is a breathtaking panoramic view of
mixed conifers and hardwoods. The gymkhana in August attracts a lot of horse
lovers and the whole village is decked out for the occasion. And of course,
Lac-des-Aigles (Eagle Lake), calm and inspiring!

Squatec, plein air et découvertes
The Zen hiker will be right at home in Saint-Michel-du-Squatec. The National Hiking
Trail, the paths up Mont Pain de Sucre (Sugarloaf Mountain), and to the Sutherland
Waterfalls – take your time and you’ll have a great time! From May to October you
can Pick-Your-Own shiitake mushrooms in the forest and visit a farm that breeds
boars – a fascinating experience! Here also is the main entrance and reception to
the Lake Témiscouata National Park. And of course, Lake Petit Squatec and
Lake Pain de Sucre, both magnificent and wild!
