Summer Reading Program Sign Up Begins Monday, June 8 Upon registration, receive a reading log and a temporary tattoo. Children entering preschool through grade 5 can either read by themselves or be read to by another. So Tim made a robot to help him play and sing! See Tim and his robot friend perform with an assortment of old musical instruments with a little technological help. Kindred Spirits Book Club ☎ Go Set a Watchman by Harper Lee Wednesday, July 29, 6:30 pm Registration deadline July 10 The publication of a newly discovered novel from Harper Lee, bestselling author of the Pulitzer Prize-winning classic, To Kill a Mockingbird is an historic literary event. Originally written in the mid-1950s, Go Set a Watchman was the novel Harper Lee first submitted to her publishers before To Kill a Mockingbird. The manuscript was discovered in 2014. It features many of the characters from To Kill a Mockingbird some twenty years later. Returning home to Maycomb to visit her father, Jean Louise Finch—Scout—struggles with personal and political issues involving Atticus, society, and the Alabama town that shaped her. All are welcome to participate in the discussion, but registration is required in order to check out a copy of the book (available July 14).
