All of CCH children come from the landfill of Stung Meanchy. In 2002, CCH had 16 children and one centre only. Nowadays CCH has 150 children and 3 centers: CCH I (for the girls), CCH II (for the boys), CCH/CDCC (for both boys and girls, in Beung Trabeck). Most of CCH’s children are nearly or are 15 years old. They have to learn many things to transform their life to be a human resource in Cambodia. CCH Cambodia – CCH Friends Belgium 2 / 11 VIII. Project Profile: The Centre for Children’s Happiness (CCH) sends the children to public school to get education. CCH also has extra classes for CCH’s children also when they have free time. CCH thinks that education is very important for the children. Another thing that CCH thinks that is very important to the children is skill training. In developed countries, the children who became at age of 15, they always find the skill for their own with studying or working with studying. And CCH also thinks like that. When CCH’s children become 15 years old, CCH tries to find skill training for them. The skills training that CCH’s gives to the children is: Computer, Accounting, Hair Dressing, Mechanic, Electronic, Music, Sewing, Cooking, and other things children like. When the children finished their skill training, CCH also find the jobs for them as they like because CCH wanted them to be self independent in the future like the develop countries as studying with working. So with the skill training for CCH’s children, CCH have cooperated with many place as NGO as SCAPD or restaurants or companies where children can go to learn the skill training. And nowadays CCH is try to make the skill training by our self. CCH has already Computer Training and CCH will open a computer shop and a hair dressing shop in December 2007. With these things CCH needs more experience about skill training because we want our training skill to be successful. DON BOSCO SCHOOL is an organization that cares about skill training too. DON BOSCO has many skill training: Secretary, Leather, Electricity, Mechanic, Market, Society, Hotel Management, etc. So CCH wanted to get to experience of this DON BOSCO SCHOOL for CCH’s skills training. With the support of Mr. Charles, CCH sent eleven children (CCH’s Management Team) and two teachers to DON BOSCO SCHOOL in Sihanoukville. IX.
