PLANT PICK-UP…
...was TODAY! Grades Kindergarten through Fourth were welcome to choose a plant to
take home and tend through next fall. Once school is back in session, there
will be a plant show here at BCS and students will be asked to bring in their
plants in to be judged. Ribbons will be distributed and some plants will be
entered into the citywide plant show. Looking forward to seeing who has the
greenest thumb!
Jogathon—Wednesday, May 6
Parents! Please plan to come and be a part of this GREAT day for our school as we attempt to raise funds for BCS.
Feel free to bring a lawn chair and join in the fun on what promises to be an exciting time at Blackhawk Christian
School. We are getting closer to our goal of $50,000. Rain date is Friday, May 8. Thank you for all your efforts!

Activities are held on the south campus back parking lot, and in the commons and gym.
There will be NO hot lunches served on that day, but
food will be available for sale.
Students need to be signed out at the table near the
announcer.
All students should be signed out by 2:00 p.m.

Jogathon Festival:
This celebration will take place on the lawn beside the running track
during Jogathon. It will be a fun, free event for BCS elementary students and families. Volunteers needed for 2 hour shifts. Please
call Stephanie Visser at 260-797-4308 if you’re available to help!

has received a check for over $1,200! What a
great way to join efforts practically in order to
benefit the school. Remind friends and family
to save them for next year. We’ll be collecting

Lost and Found
items from the
month of April will be on tables in the upstairs hallway. Students from every class
will have the opportunity to look at these
things and claim whatever belongs to them,
but parents are also welcome to peruse the
items as well. Unclaimed jackets, sweaters, gloves, etc. will be sent to renew after
Tuesday.
HELP! Do you plan to do any shopping at CARSONS, DICK’S, OLD NAVY,
GAP or BANANA REPUBLIC? We have an overstock of these gift cards (all
$25) in the Scrip office and would appreciate your help in scaling down our
inventory. Stop and buy Scrip before you go to the store!
