Backed by a quartet of musicians, Mark Pohl on drums, Davie Wise on guitar, Peter Crugnale on bass, and Phil LoPinto on piano, Blue Bayou performs hits from Linda’s early rock/pop career including “When Will I Be Loved,” “Different Drum,” and “You’re No Good.” P aul J oseph Q uartet: Jazz Italiano October 16 // 2pm Composer/pianist Paul Joseph and his talented bandmates perform instrumental jazz renditions of Italian favorites such as “Santa Lucia,” and “O Sole Mio,” a medley of Puccini arias, and the theme song for The Godfather, “Speak Softly Love.” Joining Paul will be Michael Corn on drums, Edgar Mills on bass, and Susan Mitchell on violin. In-person registration begins at 7pm. The Library reserves the right to limit the number of tickets given to any one person. Fees are nonrefundable. To secure a place in the program, patrons must pay (cash only) within three days of registering, or we will contact the next person on the waiting list. Out-of-district patrons may begin registering on the fourth day after in-person registration. Proof of age is required. This small book club offers adults (18+) with intellectual and developmental disabilities the opportunity to read for pleasure and socialize in the community. It will be guided by a pair of trained volunteer facilitators, meeting weekly for about an hour in the magazine section of the Library. The book club will meet on Fridays from 2:30-3:30pm commencing October 7th. BAND NIGHT Friday, September 23 // 7-9pm Popular local teen band barely Know her is back to play some of your favorites. We’ll keep the lights slightly up and the sound turned slightly down. Our policies regarding quiet and remaining in one’s seat will not be enforced unless the safety of the audience is in question. Come relax and enjoy family time without worrying if someone will complain or be disturbed by noise or movement. (A caregiver must remain in the room at all times.)
