Celebrate the Traditional Tuen Ng Festival with a European Twist
The 27th Discovery Bay Dragon Boat Races & Carnival will return to Discovery Bay this Tuen
Ng Festival on 9 June 2016 (Thursday), filling the neighbourhood with fun, laughter, energy
and carnival atmosphere! The spectacular Dragon Boat Races will take place at Tai Pak
Beach, while the carnival at DB Plaza will ramp up the festive atmosphere with exciting
inflatable games and game booths.

From 8am onwards on 9 June, 40 teams formed by Discovery Bay residents, corporates and
professional bodies will gather in Tai Pak Beach to compete in 23 races with their elaborately
decorated dragon boats. This year, we are proudly presenting a new Dragon Boat Market with
beer and food booths complete with a game zone for families on Tai Pak Beach. You and your
family will be guaranteed to have a fun-filled day in Discovery Bay on Tuen Ng Festival.
At DB Plaza next to Tai Pak Beach, don’t miss the Open Air Carnival from 10:30am to 6:30pm.
Colourful inflatable games and game booths will keep you and your kids busy all day long –
the perfect way for some festive family fun with exhilarating games and cheers!
Don’t forget to dine in one of the various thematic restaurants at D’Deck, where you and your
family will have the best seats to enjoy the races in Tai Pak Beach! Remember to present
your transaction receipt at the “D’Deck Free Ferry Service Counter” and enjoy one free ride1

Remarks
1.
The D’Deck complimentary ferry ride offer is valid for dinner consumption (6pm -11:45pm) from
Monday to Friday, and lunch/dinner consumption (12 noon - 11:45pm) on Sat/Sun/public holiday.
The free ferry ride is only valid on the same day of the transaction, and for the following schedules
only: Mon-Fri: 7:30pm-12:00am and Sat /Sun /public holidays: 1:00pm-12:00am.
