19 May 2016 Press Release For Immediate Release The 27th Discovery Bay Dragon Boat Races & Carnival 2016 Celebrate the Traditional Tuen Ng Festival with a European Twist The 27th Discovery Bay Dragon Boat Races & Carnival will return to Discovery Bay this Tuen Ng Festival on 9 June 2016 (Thursday), filling the neighbourhood with fun, laughter, energy and carnival atmosphere! The spectacular Dragon Boat Races will take place at Tai Pak Beach, while the carnival at DB Plaza will ramp up the festive atmosphere with exciting inflatable games and game booths. Celebrate Tuen Ng Festival with fun-filled entertainment, good food and Free Ferry Ride Offer From 8am onwards on 9 June, 40 teams formed by Discovery Bay residents, corporates and professional bodies will gather in Tai Pak Beach to compete in 23 races with their elaborately decorated dragon boats. This year, we are proudly presenting a new Dragon Boat Market with beer and food booths complete with a game zone for families on Tai Pak Beach. You and your family will be guaranteed to have a fun-filled day in Discovery Bay on Tuen Ng Festival. At DB Plaza next to Tai Pak Beach, don’t miss the Open Air Carnival from 10:30am to 6:30pm.
