The 2010 Bead Bazaar class descriptions are listed below in class-number order.
You may view most of the actual class projects at meetings of the RMBS prior to the Bazaar
and at the Registration Desk at the Bazaar.
When determining the Skill Level for your class, please use the following definitions:
- Beginner: No experience in any type of beadwork.
- Advanced Beginner: Has experience in similar types of work and is ready to learn this
technique.
- Intermediate: Has prior experience with this type of work and is ready to learn variations.
- Advanced: Has completed several projects using this technique and is ready for a
challenge.
- All Levels: Open to anyone.

Please read "Bring" information carefully!
Typically, for beading classes you should bring scissors, beading pad or trays, needles,
thread, worklight with extension cord, and magnifiers (if needed). Please check what supplies
the instructor expects you to bring for a specific class (under "Bring").
Each class has a minimum number of students and, if that number is not met, the class will
be cancelled. NO REFUNDS will be made for any reason other than Class Cancellation by
RMBS, so please select your classes carefully.

24-01 Getting The Most From Your Loom

This class will teach two techniques in one day,
covering the basics of both tension-loom and
heddle-loom beadwork. Learn how to develop
patterns, split loom neckward, and how to design
for other large pieces of beadwork.
Kit: Loom, heddle, shed rod, and written
instructions.

paper, colored pencils, and beeswax.

knowledge of how a loom works).

of seed beads designed in Saraguro, Ecuador. It
begins with a daisy chain row, and for the first time
the directions for a toggle and loop clasp are
included, as well as a new technique to make the
daisy chain easier.

Make the perfect day-to-evening necklace! Beaded backstitch, peyote bezel, and
brick-stitch edging will be covered, as well as peyote-stitched beaded beads to
compliment the pendant. Students may not finish this project in class, but will leave
with the knowledge to complete the necklace on their own.

necklace designs to create in class. One project is the classic look of hand
tied silk knots between the pearls of your choice. The second project offers
a more contemporary design but still incorporates the same skills so you can
always knot pearls the classic way. Class contains ample instruction and
practice but may need to complete their project at home.
