Our dishwashers only use
14 litres of water for a typical
wash load, washing by hand
uses around 65 litres. A
dishwasher only heats up
exactly the amount of water
it uses, saving you around
£50 on your energy bill!
Dishwashers are also more hygienic than
handwashing, with water temperatures
reaching 65oC inside the machine, this kills
virtually all of the bacteria. When you wash
by hand the water is around 40oC, at this
temperature certain bacteria can survive,
leaving you with clean but dirty dishes.

Sadly, meningitis and meningococcal septicaemia continue to affect
thousands of people in the UK every year and can often kill in hours.
Although successful vaccines exist to protect against certain forms of
meningitis, there is still no vaccine to protect against all strains of the
disease, including the most common – Meningitis B.
