BUBINGA
Starclassic Bubinga shells are made slightly thicker than those in our Starclassic Maple series to provide a
more aggressive attack, a fuller deep and dark tone, and more powerful resonance. Numerous options are
available to meet the varied and critical needs of professional drummers including a selection of more than
30 different shell sizes. Starclassic Bubinga also features two shell hardware finishes to choose from:
black nickel and chrome. Starclassic Bubinga is simply an unprecedented combination of sight and sound.

Starclassic Bubinga Omni-Tune drums are designed for players who are the most exacting about sound and
tuning. Our 100% bubinga shell offers both a powerful attack and rich, full resonance. For faster, easier, and
more precise tuning, our Omni-Tune lugs allow you to tune both the top and bottom heads from the batter
side. For session recording and performing at large venues where every second is critical, the Omni-Tune
system is the answer.

Omni-Tune Lug System
(US.PAT.NO.6963022)
The Omni-Tune Lug and Omni-Tune Drum Key allow
you to tune both the top head and bottom head from
the batter side. The Omni-Tune system expands
and improves on the lug system invented in 1930 by
drum designer William David Gladstone, which he
created for snare drums. Starclassic Bubinga OmniTune features the Omni-Tune lug on every drum so
the entire set benefits from faster, easier and more
precise tuning.

The distinct and traditional sound of birch has made it the choice of many pro drummers for the last
30 years. But TAMA believes it’s time to take birch in an entirely different direction. By using bubinga
wood for the inner layers of a birch shell, TAMA has created a mixture that provides a new sound with a
sweeter and deeper tone. This combination exhibits the focused attack of birch along with the enhanced
lows of bubinga.

With its Maple shell, this snare drum is a great example of what the S.L.P. series snare
drum concept is all about. The combination of this choice of a hardwood shell, Super
Sensitive Hi-Carbon Snappy Snares and Sound Arc Hoop results in a fully open and
resonant sounding drum.
This drum features a thicker Aluminum 1.6mm shell with a uniquely wide internal 15mm
flanged edge. Add to that a center ridge and new Sound Arc Hoops, and the vintage style
sound is enhanced by a new layer of crispness and sustain. It’s also very powerful, which is a
characteristic not typically found in other generic Aluminum snare drums.

IRON COBRA 20th Anniversary
It was just 20 years ago, in 1992, when TAMA set out on
the “Iron Cobra” project to create the ultimate drum pedal.
The goal was to create something that would work in all
environments, for all players, regardless of their music genre
or playing style.
At that time, we adopted the slogan “Rock Solid Strength and
Versatility” as our mission statement for this pedal.
Over the years, we introduced many improvements such
as the Oiles® Bearing Hinge and later the Cobra Coil. The
pedal evolved to fit the needs of drummers while staying
true to its roots.
In 2010, we released the Speed Cobra drum pedal, which
offers pure aggression and power as well as lightning fast
speed. The Speed Cobra was widely cheered by drummers
who desire both speed and power from the same pedal.
In 1993, the first generation of Iron Cobra made its debut. It
immediately demolished the conventional wisdom on bass
drum pedals with innovations such as the Vari-Pitch Beater
Holder and Iron Cobra Beater. It introduced key features like
the Spring Tight and Speedo-Ring, which reduce power loss,
and the Para-Clamp mechanism which securely clamps the
pedal to the bass drum hoop.
For 2013, TAMA expanded the Iron Cobra family to include
the new Iron Cobra 600 and 200 series. These pedals were
developed with the same design concept as the original
Iron Cobra 900 series, and offer high performance and
professional quality at an affordable price. Iron Cobra 600
series drum pedals are equipped with the same double
chain drive and Speedo-Ring found on the Iron Cobra 900
line. They also feature a totally new function exclusive to
this series.
Iron Cobra was a huge success and the pedal was well
deserving of the “Rock Solid Strength and Versatility” slogan. It
made waves in the drum world and forced drummers and other
manufacturers to take notice that a bold new pedal had arrived.
Cobra pedals, the true legend of innovation, continue to evolve
and innovate for all drummers of this and future generations.

feature is a changeable cam. Called the “Duo
Glide Cam”, it allows simple adjustment between

Guidelines on both straight and curved pipes help you set the curved pipe horizontally, which is typically one of the toughest parts of setting up drum
racks. Modifications to the rack clamps enable setup simply by hand and a tuning key. In addition, you can easily reproduce your rack setup by using

positioning of the horizontal pipe.
Use this mark in the center of the horizontal
pipe to line up with the J30TS clamp, which
