The outstanding filtration of

result of a filtration system consisting of
up to 12 layers. It consists of the
innovative Miele HyClean dustbag, a
motor protection filter and a Miele exhaust
filter. The way these components
complement each other ensures that more
than 99.9% of fine dust is filtered out. You
can take deep breaths again!

Prior to series production, Miele vacuum cleaners undergo rigorous stress and
endurance testing in our very own laboratories:
The motor endurance test:
very endurable!
We expect top-notch cradle-to-grave
performance from our vacuum cleaners: in
an intensive endurance test, with the
appliances being constantly switched on
and off, Miele motors must prove that they
are made to last.
The jamb/threshold test:
very robust!
In real life, Miele vacuum cleaners are
subjected to many knocks and obstacles
that they have to move over during
vacuuming – in this test, they have to
endure this strain 16,500 times without
interruption. Miele casings and rollers
prove their durability.
The cable rewind test:
very reliable!
The cable reels are unwound and rewound
more than 10,000 times in our test
centres. Only then are we satisfied and
completely certain of problem-free
functioning in your home.
The hose test:
very resilient!
Miele suction hoses are twisted, bent and
stretched with a 5 kg weight 120,000
times in the laboratory, so you can pull
your Miele vacuum cleaner along behind
you without any risk of damage.
The floorhead test:
very hard-wearing!
A Miele floorhead must master 2000 km of
various types of floor coverings, that is as
far as Melbourne to Sydney and back.
They also cross a carpeted door threshold
60,000 times.
The handle test:
very indestructible!
Miele vacuum cleaner handles are hung
with 5 kg weights and lifted and lowered
120,000 times. The handle must survive
leverage forces completely damage-free.

Tangible cleanliness
The right dustbag? Simple!
It is often not easy to find the right
dustbag for a vacuum cleaner, but with
Miele, you can easily identify the correct
genuine HyClean dustbag by the colour of
the dustbag collar.
Last 25% longer
The special-purpose random-spun fibre
retains large amounts of fine dust. Air
guides distribute dust evenly throughout
the dustbag. This is why HyClean
dustbags can be used approximately 25%
longer than conventional random-spun
dustbags.
Top-class suction power
Thanks to the nine finely graduated filter
layers, the Miele HyClean bag remains airpermeable, even as it fills. This ensures
undiminished suction power for longer.
The appliance display indicates when the
dust bag and filter need to be changed,
for constant performance and hygiene just
like on the first day.
Hygienic dust disposal
Miele ensures that you don’t need to
come into contact with vacuumed dust.
As soon as you open the vacuum cleaner,
the HyClean bag closes automatically. The
protective netting prevents the bag from
bursting, even if you have vacuumed up
sharp items .

Miele recommends vacuum
cleaners with a HEPA filter
fitted as standard for those
allergic to domestic dust.
Some Miele cylinder vacuum
cleaners with Active HEPA
filter have also been recommended for
allergy sufferers by the TÜV Nord, a
German material testing institute. Due to
its special air-tight casing seal, not only
the exhaust filter but the entire appliance
fulfils the EN 1822/1998 European
standard. The air discharged from the
vacuum cleaner is cleaner than ambient
room air. And bacteria, allergens and
fungal spores remain safely in the
dustbag.

Easy to manoeuvre
The slim body and an extra low centre of
gravity makes the vacuum cleaner easy to
manoeuvre. The metal footplate glides
smoothly around the smallest and most
densely-furnished apartments.
Ergonomic double side
switch
Positioned on a corner, the switch is
always easily accessible and the power
setting visible at a glance. This is
particularly handy when the wand and
handle is removed, and the machine used
as a hand-held vacuum cleaner.
Adjustable power setting
Suction power is selected using a MIN/
MAX adjustable slider switch. Suction
power can be adjusted to the floor
type which ensures excellent cleaning
performance and allows the vacuum
cleaner to glide easily.
Large operating radius
The Miele mini upright allows
vacuuming of large

changing sockets with an operating a
radius of up to 9 m.
Stainless steel telescopic tube
At the push of a button, Miele telescopic
suction tubes can be easily adjusted to
the height of the user. This is convenient
and gentle on backs.
Hint: To reach underneath furniture,
the tube can also be fitted to the lower
part of the vacuum cleaner.
Versatile Handle
The ergonomically designed handle
features an integrated anti-slip stopper
which enables the appliance to lean safely
against a wall or door. The handle
also comes with a grommet allowing it

The reason, vacuumed dust should be sealed and
trapped inside a dustbag.
The dustbag filters and retains fine dust and
allergens inside the dustbag. Genuine Miele
dustbags offers 9-ply filtration! This ensures that
dust just vacuumed is not released back into the
room environment.
Air guides inside the dustbags enable the optimum
utilisation of the entire volume. Replacement of
dustbags is simple and hygienic! When removing
the dustbag, the opening closes automatically. An
integrated protective layer of
netting prevents the membrane of the bag
from ripping, even if sharp items are vacuumed.
This ensures that the motor is safely protected and
the dust cannot escape.
