GIBSONS 2013
Just like choosing a work of art to display in pride of place on the wall,
jigsaw puzzles are incredibly personal and everyone has a favourite.
Gibsons creates over 50 new jigsaw puzzles every year and their
2013 collection is better than ever with highlights including the new
puzzle board, mini gift puzzles as well as new puzzle artists including
Steve Skelton, Colin Thompson and Lawrie Taylor.
Anyone investing hours of precious time piecing together their
favourite jigsaw puzzle will probably have experienced that pang
of anxiety at the thought of someone disturbing the pieces the
minute their backs are turned. Gibsons has created the perfect
solution with its brand new Puzzle Board which guarantees to
protect your jigsaw puzzle and provide a safe and stable work
surface for as long it takes to complete your masterpiece.
The large light-weight Puzzle Board, which is suitable for puzzles
up to 1000 pieces, is extremely strong but incredibly light and
easy to carry and store. The non-slip surface has a raised edge to
prevent lost pieces, so when you finish your puzzling session you
can simply store the whole board safely away, underneath a chair
or on top of a cupboard ready to bring out on the next occasion.
The Puzzle Board is an essential accessory for jigsaw puzzle fans
and along with a favourite themed jigsaw puzzle, the ideal gift for
everyone both young and old.
one of the prettiest villages in England.
Jigsaw puzzles are without doubt a great activity to stimulate
the brain, as well as providing on-going entertainment. However,
many overlook the incredible social and interactive aspects
of participating in the joint ‘venture’ of a jigsaw, which can be
enjoyed by the whole family regardless of age or ability. Jigsaw
puzzles are not just a solitary hobby, although for many they are
wonderfully therapeutic renowned for filling a few lonely hours.
As a team pursuit they are packed with fun which can lasts for
weeks at a time and can be dipped into over and over again. For
many families, the jigsaw puzzle provides a gathering point where
everyone can participate to help find the pieces and build a work
of art together. There are literally hundreds of Gibsons jigsaw
puzzles to choose, from scenic views and nostalgia, to favourite
hobbies and pets; but the biggest challenge with joint puzzling is
reaching a unanimous decision as to which picture to tackle next.
However once the box is opened and the pieces spread before
them, everyone is guaranteed to enjoy spending quality time
sharing an activity with the ones they love.

Big isn’t necessarily always best and Gibsons fabulous new range
of Mini Puzzles are the proof in the pudding that sometimes the
very best things come in small boxes. There are four gorgeous
scenes to choose from and each tiny puzzle has just 210 pieces,
all made from top quality 100% recycled cardboard. Best of all,
each puzzle can be completed on a tray inside the deluxe, linenfinished box in which it comes.
Gibsons Mini Puzzles are the perfect gift for everyone – not just
puzzle fans – with a theme to appeal to all. For example, Dawn
Chorus depicts some of our favourite British birds while Castle
Combe pieces together a scene from what has been described as

Being an avid Wasgij collector, I was surprised and
a little bemused to see that Ravensburger have
brought out a new range with a similar theme, but
very different concept… How I enjoyed No. 1 and
No.2! Will there be any more and will you be starting
a collectors club as with the Wasgijs? I really enjoyed
‘the guessing game’ – the quality and cut and
amusing images. If you are thinking of producing
more and having a collectors club can I enrol?
Madelaine Lane-Scunthorpe
We have passed on your comments to Ravensburger who were
really pleased with the feedback and yes, they have confirmed
this will be on-going, with two brand new ‘WHAT IFS’ to be
introduced in the Autumn. We have placed you top of the list
for the pending collectors club which we will be introducing
in the Autumn and are delighted you’ve enjoyed your first
editions of this fun concept. Many thanks for your feedback

Sort the pieces into colours-choose a place to start
Don’t do the outside first-Do a colourful part
