Access to the configuration area is allowed to all users with system access level >=3 (see chapter 5.7 for user management). You can access the configuration area either locally or from a remote PC. All configuration options can be managed in both cases. eIMPORTANT NOTE If the VPR local access level is lower than “administration” level, you will need to enter the administration password to access all configuration items (see chapter 5.6). The default settings for “administration user level” are: Username → Password → admin abcd Use the vertical navigation menu on the left of the screen to select the different configuration areas. Use of an external keyboard is not envisaged in local use (although the keyboard function is supported). Use the virtual keypad for entering next to digits and letters, as required. To make the virtual keypad appear on the screen, click on the keyboard icon the fields requiring its use. Select the required characters with the mouse. Then select “close” to hide the virtual keypad. DS1093-0002 14 LBT8018 5.1 CAMERAS Each connected camera may be configured independently so as to perform different functions according to the place of installation and the framed scene. eIMPORTANT NOTE After completing all configurations on the page, press SAVE on the bottom of the page to save the changes. Otherwise, all changes will be ignored. 5.1.1 HOW TO ASSIGN A NAME TO THE CAMERAS To assign a name to a camera, enter the required name in the specific field next to the Camera 1 (Camera 2, Camera 3, Camera 4) label. The name may be chosen as required. It is advisable to assign a descriptive name which helps you to promptly identify its place of installation. 5.1.2 HOW TO SELECT VIDEO RESOLUTION The VPR allows image acquisition in two video formats: QVGA (320x240 pixel resolution) and VGA (640x480 pixel resolution). Select the most suitable video resolution according to needs by selecting the corresponding option. Higher resolution corresponds to better acquired image definition but will also occupy more space on the hard disk when recorded and more bandwidth when transmitted on the LAN/WAN. Consequently, it is advisable to select a higher resolution (640x480) if the video is often shown in full screen and if minor details in the scene need to be identified. Conversely, it is advisable to select lower resolution (320x240) if video is simply shown in Quad mode and if the video often needs to be transmitted on the network to a remote PC using a limited bandwidth. 5.1.3 HOW TO DETECT MOVEMENTS IN THE SCENE This function can be enabled if the framed scene should not contain moving objects in normal conditions; the presence of motion in the scene will generate an alarm according to the alarm warning settings (see chapters 5.3 and 5.6 of this manual for how to set alarm warning). Select the number of seconds within which the presence of motion is ignored to avoid false alarms if motions persist only for a short time. In this case, no alarm warning will be received if the movement persists for less than the selected number of seconds. Select 0 to generate a warning for any movement detected in the scene. It is also possible to exclude some areas of the scene from the motion detection function (ignore areas) and adjust the motion detection sensitivity. Refer to chapter 5.11 of this manual for settings. 5.1.4 VIDEO LOSS WARNING Select this option to be warned if there is no video signal from the corresponding camera. This may be generated by a power blackout, camera failure or video signal cable interruption. DS1093-0002 15 LBT8018 5.1.5 RECORDING PARAMETERS The following parameters can be set according to your saving needs. Select “On” to enable the corresponding video channel for recording or “Off” to deactivate all recordings (except those started manually and those generated by an external sensor, which will be performed in all cases). To program automatic weekly recordings, check the “schedule” option and then click on the highlighted “schedule” option to program the weekly recording schedule. Select the recording type (if recordings are activated on the video channel): motion for recording if motions are detected in the scene. Recordings will be saved at the frame rate shown on the right. h24 for continuous, round-the-clock recordings at the frame rate shown on the right. A file will be generated for each one hour of recording for technical reasons. motion + h24 this special setting can be used to perform two different recordings of the same video channel: one recording will be constant, round-the-clock, at a fixed frame rate of 1fps and a separate recording will be made with the frame rate shown on the right in the event of movement in the scene. Select the frame rate for the recordings on the right from one of the three available levels: high, medium and low. High frame rates correspond to more fluent sequences but recordings will occupy more space on the hard disk and more bandwidth for transmission on the LAN/WAN. In order to optimise performance of the entire system, it is advisable to select the lowest frame rate considered acceptable for recordings. In the event to motion detection recordings, it is possible to set a pre-recording time and a post-recording time of images by selecting the corresponding number of seconds. These recordings will contain the sequences before and after the event which generated them (pre-recording time) and will end a certain time after the generating element ends (postrecording time). eIMPORTANT NOTE After completing all configurations on the page, press SAVE on the bottom of the page to save the changes. Otherwise, all changes will be ignored. 5.2 DOMES PTZ cameras controllable via RS-485 serial line and Pelco-D protocol (such as for example Easy Dome Urmet Domus ref. 1090/072 and 1090/082) can be controlled by the VPR. Connect the camera correctly as shown in chapter 8.1 and configure the following parameters: Select “USB” device if an optional USB/RS-485 ref. 1093/106 converter is used to connect the VPR to the RS-485 serial line. Select “RS232” instead if the VPR is connected to the RS-485 serial line via a normal RS232-RS485 converter. Then select the protocol to be used for communication on the RS-485 line and the bit rate (which must be the same as that set on the camera). For each connected PTZ camera, indicate the corresponding ID address (which must correspond to the address assigned to the camera connected to the indicated channel and if several PTZ cameras are connected to the same RS485 serial line each one must have a different ID address). Press SAVE to save the changes made on this page. DS1093-0002 16 LBT8018 5.3 ALARMS In the event of an alarm, the VPR will automatically establish the Internet connection to send a warning to up to three configurable e-mail addresses. The device will send a picture of what happened in the alarmed site along with its public IP address so as to connect to the VPR from a remote PC. Similarly, the VPR may send a SMS text message to up to three mobile phone numbers containing in addition to the alarm warning, its public IP address and a link for downloading a short recording of what happened so that the situation can be analysed directly on the mobile phone (a mobile phone capable of running Java programs and which can connect to the Internet via GPRS, EDGE or UMTS is required for this function). You can find the updated list of certified and compatible mobile phones at: http://www.videosorv.com/cellulari.pdf Configure the following parameters to receive alarm warnings via e-mail and/or SMS text messages: Select “On” to activate alarm sending and consequently receive e-mails and/or SMS text messages if an alarm is detected by the VPR. Select “Off” to stop alarm warnings. In this case, no alarm warnings will be sent regardless of all other settings. To program automatic alarm warning schedule, select “schedule” and click on the highlighted “schedule” item to start weekly programming. Select “YES” or “NO” to send e-mails in the event of an alarm. Enter up to three different e-mail addresses in the e-mail fields (main, e-mail2, e-mail3). The e-mails will be sent to all the listed addresses. Select “YES” or “NO” to stop sending SMS in the event of an alarm. Enter up to three different mobile phone numbers in the fields (mobile phone 1, mobile phone 2, mobile phone 3). Enter digits only without blanks with the country code, only if required (for example the country code for Italy is 0039). The SMS test message will be sent to all mobile phone numbers shown. eIMPORTANT NOTE The VPR must be able to connect to the Internet according to one of the methods described in chapter 4.3 of this manual to use the e-mail and SMS test message warning function. If you are using an Internet connection charged by time, you may wish to indicate how long the VPR must be connected to the Internet. After the minutes shown, the VPR will automatically shut the Internet connection down. eIMPORTANT NOTE After completing all configurations on the page, press SAVE on the bottom of the page to save the changes. Otherwise, all changes will be ignored. DS1093-0002 17 LBT8018 5.4 I/O BOARD (OPTIONAL) This area is used to configure the optional GPIO board ref. 1093/105 for managing input sensors and output relays. This configuration area can only be accessed if the GPIO board is actually installed in the VPR. 5.4.1 MANUAL OUTPUT CONTROL Click on “Manual output control” to manually control the output relays (useful for system tests and inspections in the event of faults). The following will appear: eIMPORTANT NOTE The number of available outputs depends on the configuration shown in the following chapter. In this way, you can have up to 16 sensor inputs and 0 relay outputs. Refer to chapter 8.2 in this manual for dip switch configuration. After configuring the inputs and outputs of the board, select “DIP SWITCH SETTINGS” to edit the following configuration parameters: DS1093-0002 18 LBT8018 Reproduce the variations made using the GPIO board dip switch for each of the 8 outputs exactly: select “Input” if you have switched the corresponding output into a sensor input (dip switch on) or “Output” if you did not switch the output into a sensor input (dip switch position off). Press SAVE at the end of the configuration procedure to save the changes made or BACK to go back to the configuration page without saving the changes made. Enter a descriptive name which identifies the sensor source for each connected sensor input (e.g. volumetric, burglar, door, etc.). Select “On” or “Off” to detect changes of status of the sensor or to ignore the sensor itself. Select “schedule” to program sensor input activation/deactivation and then click on “From scheduler” to schedule weekly programming. Select “on/off notify alarms” if you want to use sensor status changes to sequentially switch alarm warnings on and off instead of generating an alarm. In practice, when “Send alarm on/off” is selected following change of status of the corresponding input sensor, the alarm warning function will be activated (if it was off) or deactivated (if it was on). This operation is similar to that manually described in chapter 5.3 of the present manual. After an input sensor status change, the VPR will start recording and save the video of the event: select the recording time (minimum 5 seconds, maximum 10 minutes) and the camera on which to record the images. All inputs generated by the input sensor can be notified via e-mail and/or SMS text message. Select whether to generate warnings from the connected sensor or not. The status of a relay output can be varied when a pulse is detected on an input sensor. Select the output to be controlled in the event of variation of the input sensor status. The available relay outputs shown in the list may be configured after configuring all input sensors: Enter descriptive name identifying the connected device (e.g. staircase lights, siren, etc.) for each connected relay output. Administration privileges are required to edit system settings (see chapter 5.7). Enter a descriptive name of the VPR. 5.6.1 PROVIDER DATA The provider data are necessary to connect to the Internet via an analogue PSTN or ISDN serial modem, e.g. an optional PSTN modem 1093/107. The data will be given to you by your Internet provider. Telephone: Indicate the telephone number to be dialled for the Internet connection. User: username to be used to connect to the Internet. Password: password assigned by your provider for activating the connection. SMTP: domain (or IP address) of the server to be used for sending e-mails (usually the SMTP server indicated by your Internet provider). 5.6.2 NETWORK INTERFACE DATA The network interface data are necessary if the VPR is connected to a LAN/WAN via the UTP cat.5 network wire. These parameters vary according to the settings of the network to which the VPR is connected: refer to your network administrator for assigning these parameters. IP: IP address to be assigned to the VPR (must belong to the range of addresses which can be assigned in your network). Be careful not to assign an IP address already assigned to another device connected to the same network. The default IP address of the VPR is 192.168.1.111. Netmask: Network address mask: enter the network mask used by all other devices connected to the network. The default netmask is: 255.255.255.0 Gateway: Gateway default IP address: indicate the IP address of the network device acting as gateway for interconnections to other external networks. The gateway address is required when the VPR must be made visible also to an external network: the most typical case is that of an Internet connection via ADSL router (e.g. ADSL router 1093/108). In this case, indicate the IP address assigned to the ADSL router to this field. SMTP: domain (or IP address) of the server to be used for sending e-mails (usually the SMTP server indicated by your Internet provider). DS1093-0002 21 LBT8018 Indicate the connection type to be used for Internet access: select “internet provider settings” if the VPR is connected to the Internet via an analogue modem PSTN (or ISDN) connected to the RS232 serial port (e.g. optional PSTN modem ref. 1093/107). Select “network interface settings” for all other cases, instead. When connected to the Internet, the VPR is programmed to periodically send its public IP address (every 5 minutes) to an Internet server so as to retrieve the public IP address assigned to the VPR if the address is dynamic and therefore changes at each connection. eIMPORTANT NOTE If an ADSL line charged by time or an ISDN router is used to connect to the Internet, it is advisable to deactivate the periodical IP address notification to limit costs. The IP address will be notified anyway to the server at the beginning of each Internet connection. Indicate the port to be used for http requests and the port to be used for video streaming: the standard port for http communications is 80; video streaming is sent to port 8090. If the VPR is connected to the Internet via an ADSL router (or other network device), configure the network device so as to address the incoming calls to the ports shown here to the VPR otherwise the VPR cannot be reached from the Internet. Refer to the instruction manual of the network device itself for logical port configuration: this function is normally called “port forwarding” or “virtual server”. eIMPORTANT NOTE Mobile phones with a Vodafone SIM card will not be able to connect to the VPR if a http port other than the standard port 80 is chosen for network requirements. Enter the password to be used for direct connection to the VPR via an analogue modem (point-to-point connection). The default password is 1234. Enter the four-digit PIN code required by the user to control the VPR from a normal DTMF telephone. The default PIN code is 1234. Indicate the access level to be assigned for using the VPR locally (refer to chapter 5.7 for access levels). DS1093-0002 22 LBT8018 Motion areas for live camera video shown on the monitor can be defined by drawing a rectangle around the areas concerned by motion. Select “on” to show the rectangle or “off” to not show it. eIMPORTANT NOTE Recordings always contain motion detection areas also if motion drawing function is off for live video. The VPR may generate a sound on a remote PC whenever motion is detected in the video of one of the four cameras shown on the monitor. Select “on” to generate a sound if motion is detected or “off” not to generate any sound. For telephone calls, indicate the number of rings after which you want the VPR to pick up. In some countries, recordings cannot be stored for longer than a certain number of days for reasons of privacy. This setting may be used to switch on the Privacy function which automatically deletes the oldest recordings from the hard disk after a certain number of days. Select “on” to use the automatic recording deletion function and set the number of days for which to keep the recordings. Alternatively, select “off” not to automatically delete recordings form the hard disk. eIMPORTANT NOTE The VPR will write over the recordings on hard disk cyclically when the hard disk is full. eIMPORTANT NOTE After completing all system configurations on the page, press SAVE on the bottom of the page to save the changes. Otherwise, all changes will be ignored. DS1093-0002 23 LBT8018 5.7 USERS The VPR allows to register different users with different authentication levels. The functions for which each registered user is authorised can be defined. The available user levels are: 1 - LIVE: the user is only authorised to view live camera video. 2 - RECORDINGS: the user is authorised to view live video, start/stop manual recordings, play recordings in the playback area and back recordings up. 3 - CONFIGURATIONS: the user has level 2 access and may additionally delete recordings from the hard disk and access basic VPR configurations. 4 - ADMINISTRATOR: the user has complete system control and may access all VPR configuration functions. A prompt will appear if during VPR use, a user is registered for a lower level than that required for a certain operation or for access to a certain area. The user will have to register again on a higher level suitable for the operation to be performed. To delete a registered user, select the user to be deleted and press delete. An operation confirmation message will appear. Press OK to delete or cancel to cancel the operation. To add a new user, enter the username (required during authentication), select the authentication level to be assigned to the new user according to the operations to be allowed, then enter the password to be assigned to the user and re-enter the password for confirmation. Press the add button to add a new user. Two users are registered by default: User1 username: admin; password: abcd - administrator level User2 username: user; password: 1234 - configuration level eIMPORTANT NOTE It is advisable to create new users and note the assigned credentials for better VPR safety. Then delete the default users. A user with administrative level registration is required at all times. DS1093-0002 24 LBT8018 5.8 DATE Setting the date and time of the VPR is of fundamental importance for storing recordings. To change the date and time, select day, month, year, hours, minutes and press edit. The set date and time will appear on the top next to the “Current date” item. 5.9 SAVE SETTING For higher safety, all VPR settings can be saved on a USB memory stick to create a sort of “emergency disk”. To save the VPR settings, insert a USB memory stick in an available slot and press the Save button on this page. Wait for a few seconds and disconnect the USB drive. To restore VPR settings, switch the system off, insert the USB memory stick containing the previously saved settings and start the system. All configurations will be automatically loaded and restored. eIMPORTANT NOTE For safety reasons, the settings will be encrypted before being backed up. Consequently, the settings can only be restored on the same VPR on which they were saved. The data cannot be restored on other VPR. DS1093-0002 25 LBT8018 5.10 MANAGEMENT The management area contains different management tools for editing VPR hardware settings, for testing alarms and for VPR connectivity, as well as the commands needed to start and stop the system. 5.10.1 EDITING HARDWARE SETTINGS The hardware settings page must be used very carefully and only when optional accessories are added or removed from the system (DVD burner ref. 1093/109 and GPIO board ref. 1093/105). To add or remove optional accessories, select “Hardware setup” on the management tools page and either install or uninstall the drivers needed to run the accessories. DS1093-0002 26 LBT8018 To add an optional GPIO board ref. 1093/105, install the board following the procedure described in chapter 8.2, then select “enable GPIO” on this page. Wait for a few seconds to allow the VPR to load the drivers: red indication “on” will appear instead of off to indicate that the GPIO board is correctly installed in the system. To remove the optional GPIO board, deactivate the board by selecting “disable GPIO” and wait for the status to switch from “on” to “off”. Then stop the system and remove the board. The ISDN module is not available in this VPR version and status must always therefore be “off”. To add an optional DVD burner ref. 1093/109, install the burner as shown in chapter 8.4, then select “enable DVD burner” on this page. Wait for a few seconds to allow the VPR to load the drivers: red indication “on” will appear instead of “off” to indicate that the DVD burner is correctly installed in the system. To change the language, select the respective item, close the VPR Settings area and open the VPR Settings again to refresh the buttons. Select “Back to control page” to go back to the VPR management page. 5.10.2 SENDING A TEST ALARM An alarm situation can be manually simulated to test correct operation of the alarm warning systems and correct reception of the e-mail and/or SMS text message warnings. After configuring the system for alarm warnings as shown in chapter 5.3 of this manual, select “sending an alarm” to manually simulate alarm status; a message will appear on the monitor to confirm that the simulated alarm has been generated. Wait for a few seconds and check that the alarm warning has been received on the e-mail addresses and/or mobile phone numbers indicated during alarm configuration. If no notification is received after alarm simulation, check that the Internet access configurations are correct and that the e-mail addresses and telephone numbers are right. 5.10.3 CONNECTION MANAGEMENT The VPR is provided with software for servicing by a remote technician via SSH safe protocol on the Internet. To allow remote access to your VPR by a specialised technician, select “enable SSH” and check that the red “on” indication appears on the monitor. Select “disable SSH” instead not to allow access for remote assistance. In this case, the “off” indication should appear black on the screen. eIMPORTANT NOTE SSH protected communications use standard port 22. After allowing SSH access as above, check that network firewall devices do not block access to port 22. In this case, to allow remote servicing, configure the firewall so as to allow access to the VPR via port 22 (use the port forwarding or virtual server functions used for other communication ports, refer to chapter 5.6). If the VPR is connected to an optional PSTN analogue modem ref. 1093/107, the modem can be reset at any time (to hang-up lines left off-hook) or to manual connect and disconnect from the Internet provider. Select “Reset PSTN modem” to reset the modem. Select “Connect to internet provider” to manually connect to the Internet. Select “Disconnect from the internet provider” to manually disconnect from the Internet. Select “Back to control page” to go back to VPR management page. DS1093-0002 27 LBT8018 5.10.4 REBOOTING AND SHUTTING DOWN The VPR can be switched off and rebooted at any time. These commands can also be sent when connecting to the VPR from a remote location. Use the reboot procedure to restart the VPR and make it reachable from a remote location. 5.11 REGIONS OF NON INTEREST Areas in which you do not want to detect motion can be programmed for each camera connected to the VPR. The motion detection sensitivity can be set and outdoor filters can be activated and deactivated. To access these configurations, select the camera to be configured and press “region of non interest” on the bottom of the device configuration menu. You will be asked to enter an administrative password to perform this operation from a remote PC. In this case, enter username and administrative password, when required. The following page will appear: The video in the frame is that of the previously selected camera. The areas to be ignored by the motion detector will appear darker than the rest of the picture. Press “Draw” to add or edit the ignore areas. DS1093-0002 28 LBT8018 5.11.1 HOW TO ADD REGIONS To add a rectangle, press “Add” and then draw a box on the area to be ignored with the mouse: position the mouse on the picture in the top left corner of the rectangle to be drawn, then click and drag to draw the area where to ignore motion and release the mouse button. The drawn area will appear darker than the rest of the picture. Several ignore areas can be drawn: to add a new area, press the “Add” button again and repeat the drawing procedure. Press “Save” to save the changes made when the ignore areas have been drawn. 5.11.2 HOW TO EDIT REGIONS Press “Edit” to edit a previously drawn ignore area and then click on the edge of the area to be edited. Four small squares will appear at the corners of the selected area, as shown in the figure: To change the dimensions of the area, point the mouse to one of the four squares in the corners, then click and drag to where you want the area and release the mouse. Press “Save” to save the changes made at the end of the editing procedure. 5.11.3 HOW TO DELETE A REGIONS To delete, press “Edit”, select the area to be deleted as shown above and press “Delete”. Press “Save” to save the changes made at the end of the editing procedure. 5.11.4 HOW TO ADJUST MOTION DETECTION SENSITIVITY The motion detector sensitivity can be adjusted for each camera so that alarms are generated only when actually needed: by appropriately adjusting sensitivity, the system will identify actual alarm conditions and ignore minor motion. A higher motion detection sensitivity corresponds to smaller movements generating the alarm situation. Consequently, in the event of frequent false alarms, it is advisable to decrease motion detection sensitivity to identify only the motion of appropriate relevance. To increase motion detection sensitivity, shift the sensitivity cursor rightwards. Minor motions will be detected in this way. To decrease sensitivity, shift the cursor leftwards; in this case, minor movements will be ignored. If motion detection sensitivity is set to the minimum, no motion will be detected by the selected camera. At the end of the adjustment, press “Save” to save the changes made. 5.11.5 OUTDOOR FILTER Outdoor sensitivity can be programmed if a camera is installed outdoors or frames an outdoor environment to reduce the number of false alarms without excessively decreasing motion detection sensitivity. Small or slow picture changes due to environmental factors will be considered average variations and ignored. Select “Apply outdoor sensibility” to switch the outdoor filter on. Select “Apply indoor sensibility” to switch the outdoor filter off. eIMPORTANT NOTE Applying this filter will require a considerable amount of resources of the VPR and may slow all other applications down. Consequently, it is advisable to activate the outdoor filter only when absolutely needed. DS1093-0002 29 LBT8018 6 USING THE VPR The VPR will be ready to start normal work after installation and system configuration: all automatic features will be immediately operational. The VPR will be ready to work after initialising as shown in chapter 3.1. The video of all connected cameras will appear on the local monitor (if fitted) and the device will reply to connections from a remote PC (refer to chapter 4 in this manual for how to connect the VPR to a remote PC). Except for the full-screen function (described below and available only on local monitor), all other VPR functions can be used either from the local station or via remotely connected PC. To facilitate retrieval of all VPR functions, a navigation menu appears on nearly all pages for immediately selecting one of the three main areas of the VPR: LIVE: this area contains displaying functions, manual controls and PTZ controls for controlling the speed domes. PLAYBACK: this area contains the recording search functions and the controls for backing up or playing saved recordings. SETTINGS: this area contains the VPR configurations described in detail in chapter 5. The highlighted item in the main navigation menu shows the area in which the user is working. 6.1 DISPLAY METHODS To view the camera video. select the LIVE area on the main navigation menu (if not previously selected). The connected camera images will appear in the middle of the monitor next to controls for using the VPR. The VPR can display the camera video in different ways, as described below. You can press “Save” in the bottom left of the VIEW panel after selecting the most appropriate display mode: in this way, you will not need to repeat the settings each time to access the LIVE area. The message “full screen” will appear on the bottom of the VIEW box (local monitor only): select to maximise the video channel display area and eliminate the controls which appear on the side. In full-screen mode, select LIVE on the main navigation menu to make all controls reappear. DS1093-0002 30 LBT8018 6.1.1 QUAD FORMAT All four video channels will appear on the monitor. Go to http://sourceforge.net/projects/ffdshow/ to download the codec. 6.7 ALARM WARNINGS A warning may be received by e-mail to your PC or by SMS text message to your mobile phone following an alarm. The VPR must be able to connect to the Internet to send warnings. 6.7.1 E-MAIL WARNINGS If appropriately configured, the VPR will send a warning e-mail containing the public IP address where it may be reached with a still showing the scene framed by the alarmed camera for each alarm event. If for any reason, the Internet connection is either temporarily not available or the line is overloaded, the warning e-mail will be saved and sent as soon as the connection is available. To connect to your VPR from a remote PC following an alarm, click on the IP address in the e-mail (or enter the IP address shown in the URL field of an Internet browser) and refer to chapter 4 of this manual for how to connect to the VPR. eIMPORTANT NOTE Delays in warning e-mail reception depend on Internet traffic and cannot be controlled. 6.7.2 SMS TEXT MESSAGE WARNINGS If appropriately configured, the VPR in the event of an alarm can send a SMS text message containing the public IP address where the VPR can be reached with an active link for downloading a short recording of the event framed by the alarmed camera. The IP address shown may be used to connect to the VPR from your mobile phone using URMET VPR MOBILE software installed beforehand (see chapter 4.4.2 of this manual), or a PC by entering the IP address in the URL field of an Internet browser (see chapter 4 of this manual for connection procedures to the VPR). Alternatively, you can select the direct link to the recording and connect to the internet via your mobile phone (with a GPRS/EDGE/UMTS connection) to download and immediately play the video sequence of the framed event. You do not need to install URMET VPR MOBILE to play the downloaded video sequence: you only need a standard multimedia player for mobile phones. eIMPORTANT NOTE If the VPR detects a number of consequent alarms, only one warning SMS text message will be sent approximately every 10 minutes. Delays in warning SMS text message reception depend on the GSM network traffic and cannot be controlled. The cost of each SMS will be charged to the user.
