On behalf of the Board of SCAFRA and the members of Al Bedoo Temple let
me invite you to attend the 30th Annual Meeting and Seminar for the members
of SCAFRA. Our Director General, Larry Tipton P.P. and past Circus Chair
for Al Bedoo has the wheels in motion for a great and informative seminar and
a lot of fun in the off hours.
Our theme in 2016 is to go back to the 50s with a classic car show as well as
some of your favorite Juke Box music and tremendous western cooking. The
program is being finalized and we have a tentative program for you to review
in this edition of the Fund Raiser.
We in the Shrine are facing some very significant challenges with fund raising
the most critical for our operational survival. The key to all this is finding new
members and of course a lot of hard work. We hope we will have some new
ideas and showcase successful fund raising teams at this years seminar.
Come and enjoy some Western hospitality and take home valuable ideas for
your future.

“30th. Annual Meeting Report”

Our Association has been fortunate, in our 30 year history, of attracting
dedicated and future focused leaders. Each year at the Annual Meeting
we are open to a renewal of our leadership, and any Member Temple can
propose a candidate to the office of Third Vice President, or any other
Executive position. Certainly the position of Secretary / Treasurer is
open to election each year, as is the position of President, 1st Vice or 2nd Vice. We need strong
candidates for each office and all members should consider
The Annual Meeting and Seminar will be held in Billings Montana under the leadership of our
President Dick Paul P.P. and Director General Larry Tipton P.P. Al Bedoo Temple. A full program
is being finalized and will be published in the next edition. On page #6 of this edition we have an
outline of the program for this year. The next edition will have a confirmed program.
The costs for this year’s seminar is $330 per Noble and $150 for ladies and remember all food
is covered for Friday and Saturday with a bonus of a reception Thursday night where finger food
will be available from 6 pm to 8 pm.
We look forward to seeing you in Billings where you will receive a warm western welcome. Oh
and by the way expect a lot of music of 50’s and 60’s so you can “Shake It Up In Billings”!
We thank all our loyal members for their support and professional knowledge!
SCAFRA DUES 2016
Dues for Shrine Centers are only $250.00 per year per Shrine Center, and any number of
delegates can attend the annual seminar as well as access to organization services as required
by a fund raiser.
Application is easy; clip the back page and send your dues now! Dues are payable as of
January 1st of each year.
Dues for the Associate Members are only $200.00 . Associate members must be approved
before membership is granted. Associate Membership is designed for suppliers to Shrine
Fund Raisers.
Your participation in SCAFRA is important to continue the promotion of fund raising in
our Fraternity. Whether you hold a circus, bingo, rodeo or other fund-raiser, SCAFRA is the
association that will help you and your committee to be more professional in your approach
to this important aspect of our Fraternal life.
If you need to raise funds for your fraternal activities this is the place to be!

AGENDA OF SEMINAR FOR NOBLES

We are pleased to confirm registration costs for both the
Nobles and the Ladies will remain the same as in previous
years: $330 per Noble and $150 per Lady.
The Hotel, we will be holding the seminar in, has been
confirmed: the Billings Hotel and Convention Center in
Billings Montana, Great location!

The Billings committee have selected using the Al Bedoo

drive from the hotel. They will have a continuous shuttle
service available that will be convenient and on time for all
events. Al Bedoo is the host for the PNSA summer session
this year and they will be well practiced in shuttling members
to and from the hotel and the Shrine Center.

“marketplace Information”
The SCAFRA mARKEtPlACE, will be in the “Al Bedoo Shrine Center”. The Marketplace set up can take
place on Wednesday October 5th and the morning of Thursday October 6th until 1:00 P.M. The intention is that
the Marketplace is open Thursday from 1:00 P.M. and will close at 8:00 P.M. From 6:00 P.M.until 8:00 P.M. will
be a reception with Hors d’ouvers as part of the opening of the Marketplace. The Marketplace will Not be open
on Friday, however, we will be introducing all Marketplace people at the seminar opening at 9:00 A.M. and each
will have not more than 5 minutes to speak to the seminar delegates. Marketplace vendors will be able to clear out
their material after 8:00 P.M Security will be provided during the “off hours” Wednesday and Thursday until close.
Both single booths and double booths will include an 8’ backdrop and 3’ side drapes. Each booth will include an
8’ skirted table, and 2 chairs. Electrical requirements must be arranged directly with Al Bedoo Temple, and will be
billed directly, if charged, to you. Prompt Registration will get space and “special” needs noted. The cost of
a single booth is $300.00 and a double booth $400.00. Associate Members receive a 15 % discount. Each booth
includes registration for one person. Additional personnel, if you wish to have them fully registered, are $330.00
each or a basic meal package of $200.00 ( no additional discounts on these registrations).
