American Family Care
Butler Co. Schools Update
Amy Bryan, Superintendent
During the holiday season, businesses and
individuals think of giving – to friends, co-workers
and customers; to families that are in need; and to
foundations to effect positive change. Students
are also engaged in giving. Greenville Elementary
students conducted a toy drive to benefit children
served through DHR. Greenville High’s JAG
students and GMS students are collecting food
items for donations to DHR. Even W.O. Parmer’s 2nd grade STEM
students collected canned foods and “engineered” the cans into a life
size Christmas tree and a train before donating to a local charity.
Students learn through opportunities like this. They grow personally, in
civic responsibility, and learn that working together creates a stronger
community.
“It takes each of us to make a difference for all of us.” Jackie Mutcheson
“Success is finding satisfaction in giving more than you take.”
Christopher Reeves
“Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to
get better. It’s not.” Dr. Seuss
Happy giving during this holiday season!
