What is
YOUNG LIFE?
Young Life is a non-denominational, non-profit
organization committed to impacting kids’ lives and
preparing them for the future. For more than six
decades, Young Life has been providing strong,
positive influences in the lives of young people.
Young Life thinks the world of kids. We believe that
they deserve to know what life can hold for them.
Young Life leaders are caring adults who come sharing
that hope as well as fun and lasting friendships with
kids. Young Life is also all about fun. From club and
camp to campaigners and other activities, teenagers
will have a blast laughing, trying new things, and being
with their friends.

The Cause
The Greenville Young Life 5K Paint Run is a race to
raise money for high school and middle school
students across Greenville. All profit will help fund
a week long trip to a Young Life camp. This
summer, kids from
Greenville will be
going to Crooked
Creek Ranch, Frontier
Ranch and Wilderness
Ranch in Colorado,
Carolina Point in
Brevard, NC and
Southwind in
Oklawaha, FL.

Our staff and volunteer leaders are committed to taking
the message of Jesus Christ into the adolescent world
on a daily basis. Because kids don’t care how much you
know until they know how much you care, Young Life
leaders show they care by going to where kids are,
meeting them as they are, and believing in who they
can be.
Leaders are committed to being involved in kids’ lives,
from supporting them at their sporting events to
listening to them talk about what is important to them.
Our leaders help kids consider the direction of their
lives, and they offer hope for their future.
I know that running a road race is potentially a hazardous activity. I
should not enter unless I am medically able and properly trained. I
agree to abide by any decision of a race official relative to my ability to safely complete the run. I assume all risks associated with
participating in the Greenville YL Paint Run on May 17th, 2015,
including, but not limited to, falls, contact with other runners, the
effects of weather, including high heat or humidity, conditions of
the course, all such risks being known and predicted by me. Having
read this release and knowing these facts and in consideration of
your accepting my entry, I, for myself and anyone entitled to act in
my behalf or on behalf of my estate, waive and release all sponsors
of the race, any persons assisting the race, officers, Committee,
Committee members, agents, servants, employees and their successors and assigns of each and every above from all claims or
liabilities of any kind arising out of my participation in the race
even though the liability may arise out of negligence or carelessness on the part of the persons referred to in this waiver. I also
grant permission for the use of any photographs, motion pictures,
recordings, or any other record of my participation in this event for
any legitimate purpose. I understand that if the race is cancelled
because of any circumstances beyond the control of the race committee and sponsors, including, but not limited to unsafe weather
conditions or governmental ban, my entry fee will not be refunded.
