Lion’s Pride
Opened in 1989 as a naturalistic display
for African Lions. It provides a unique
opportunity for visitors to view an actual
pride of lions from three different viewing
areas.
Black Bear Woods
Animals & Man building
Opened in 1966 and has been home to
Gorillas, Chimps and Orangutans.
currently it is home for the Zoo’s African
Elephants, Hippos, Giraffes, Colobus,
Lemurs, Storks, Cranes and several
smaller species.
Tropical Rainforest
Opened in 1974, as one of the first walkthrough tropical exhibits of its kind.
This facility is approximately 100 feet
in diamerter and 35 feet tall. More than
100 animals live inside.
Opened in 1996 as one of the largest
naturalistic bear exhibits. This habitat
provides more than 20,000 square feet of
space for these animals.

Children’s Zoo
Quiet Garden
First opened in 1995 as a place to
relax and reflect. Visitors can spend
time watching butterflies and birds and
enjoy the beauty of flowering plants.

Sponsored by Security Benefit, opened in
1992 as a place for kids of all ages to interact with animals in a controlled setting.
Kids can interact with cows, lamma, goats,
sheep and pigs in this area.
