De Digitex is een full-colour digitaal print systeem dat aan een vrij hoge snelheid groot formaat
afdrukken kan maken. Het bevat een innovatief, meervoudig printkop systeemTM (EPSON).
Deze printkoppen of jets hebben een inktkamer die constant gevuld wordt. Deze kamer wordt
begrensd door een piezo-electric tranducer. Deze tranducer wordt electrisch gestimuleerd, verandert hierdoor van vorm en drukt zo tegen de inktkamer totdat de inkt geprojecteerd wordt op
het substraat. Door deze technologie is de machine in staat met 2x vier koppen snel en accuraat
resultaten te behalen met een hoge duurzaamheid en een zekere repeteerbaarheid.
Het Digitex Ad-systeem bestaat uit 3 aparte onderdelen:
- Prepress workstation - POSTERSHOP / ONE--EYE calibbrator
- DIGITEX printing unit
- Transferkalaander LEMAIRE (ontwikkeld uit onze ervaring en vereisten)
Er wordt geprint op transferpapier met sublimatie-inkten waarna men door
middel van de juiste specifieke warmte en druk de inkten laat disperseren in
de stof. Door deze manier van werken krijgt men een veel krachtiger resultaat
dan bij het direct op stof printen. Het resultaat is wasbestendig !

TOEPASSINGEN:
Het beprinten van vlaggen, wimpels, textielposters voor beurzen (zie volgende pag.
/ stand van Mercedes), promotiekleding, gordijnstoffen, nonwovens, spinakerdoek,
kunstprojecten enz. Bijna bij al deze toepassingen spreken we dan meestal over een productie
van 1 exemplaar, in sommige gevallen zal dit oplopen tot maximaal 10 stuks.
Voor grotere aantallen wordt nog steeds zeefdruk ingezet, wel rekening houdend
dat ook hier het bedrukken van speciaal grote formaten onmogelijk is .

Daar de fotochemische printers hun toepassingsgebied bleken te hebben, maar wegens de te
dure investering de promotionele markt niets konden aanbieden, werd er de vraag gesteld om
een printer te ontwikkelen die met een gelijkaardige kwaliteit wel goedkoper kon produceren.
Het antwoord bleef niet lang op zich wachten. De HP 5500, een thermal inkjet printer bracht
hier een oplossing. Door zijn eenvoudige opbouw en in samenwerking met een minimale

De basis printkop-technologie van deze machine is Scotchprint TM.
Bij de meeste elektrostatische printers moet men per kleur (CMYK)
telkens opnieuw naar zijn startpunt alvorens te kunnen aanvangen met de volgende kleur.
Voor 1 beeld moet men dus het papier 4x langs de printkoppen door sturen.
Zodoende was het probleem bij deze printers voornamelijk “snelheid”.
Nu, bij de 3M SP 2000 wordt er in één doorgang het papier gelijktijdig voorzien van de 4
basiskleuren zodat men ongeveer 4x zo snel is als de meeste andere elektrostaten. Door de speciale liniatuur die verkregen wordt bij het printen verkrijgt men ook in vergelijk met andere elektrostaten veel diepere en vollere kleuren. Het systeem is ontwikkeld in samenwerking met 3M en
d.m.v. duurzame componenten het best geschikt voor langlopende projecten waar
door de klant verstrekkende garanties gevraagd werden.

PIËZODROP ON DEMAND UV-INKJET,
Deze piëzo-electrische drop on demand inkjet machine heeft 36-koppen
(SPECTRA TM) met 6 kleuren aansturing CMYK LCLM process met UV-curable inks.
Deze machine kan zowel plaatmateriaal als rolmateriaal verwerken met een maximum breedte van
250cm en een maximum hoogte van 7cm.
De resolutie kan afhankelijk van het project 360 of 720dpi ingesteld worden.
De printkoppen van deze machines of jets hebben een inktkamer die constant gevuld wordt.
Deze kamer wordt begrensd door een piezo-electric tranducer. Deze tranducer wordt electrisch
gestimuleerd, verandert hierdoor van vorm en drukt zo tegen de inktkamer totdat de inkt geprojecteerd wordt op het substraat. Vervolgens worden deze inktdruppels gefixeerd door middel
van UV-curing.

digital technologies. De UV-curable inks bevatten zeer duurzame componenten
