Some of Coronado’s stone veneers are designed to be installed with no
mortar joint. These include: Coronado Honey Ledge, Quick Stack, Virginia
Ledge, 6-inch Drystack and Cascade Mountain Ledge. However, many of the
stones can be installed either with or without a mortar joint. These include:
Venetian Villa, Eastern Mountain Ledge, Weathered Edge, Strip Stones, Idaho
Drystack, Belgian Castle, 8-inch Jerusalem, Canyon Ledge, Old Country
Ledge, Old World Ledge, Tumbled Ledge, Country Castle, English Rubble,
Country Rubble, Carolina Rubble, Santa Barbara, Caribbean Coral.

Limited Warranty
Coronado Stone carries a 50 year warranty
when used on local, code conforming
structures and is installed according to the
manufacturer’s instructions. Warranty is
limited to replacement of materials only
and does not cover labor to remove and/
or replace stone. Damage resulting from
building settlement, wall movement, contact
with chemicals, staining, or oxidation is not
covered. Warranty is limited to the original
purchaser (vertical installation only).

Manufacturing Excellence
In 1960, there was only one stone manufactured in California. It was a 2½’ x
4’ sheet of concrete which was broken up into random shapes at the job site.
Mel Bacon saw the need for something better and started making his own stone.
He soon developed the first random shaped stones from individual molds which
led to the development of many of today’s popular varieties of ledge stones and
ashlar patterns.
As a mason, Mel experienced the difficulty of installing stone that was not
created with the installer in mind. It was heavy, the shapes and sizes were
difficult to piece together, and cutting would eat up half the day. He realized that
through proper pattern and mold design, ease of installation could be achieved.
From that moment, ease of installation became the benchmark for every pattern
of stone Mel created. Easy installation is not only a time saver, it’s a project saver.
By making Coronado Stone easy to install, the overall beauty of the finished
project is greatly enhanced.
