I am daisy,
an adult foster
Daisy is a domestic medium
haired tuxedo cat.
She is approximately 9 years
old and just a touch over 9
pounds.
Daisy has been in HELP foster
care since August of 2011,
when she was found outside
eating birdseed.
She is a very affectionate and
still very inquisitive cat who
loves to follow you around and
likes to sit outside the shower
stall as she wonders why her
foster “mom” is standing in the
pouring down water.
Daisy loves dogs, but not
cats. She is up to date on her
vaccines, including rabies,
microchipped, spayed, but
not declawed, and currently is
being fed a special diet.
This beautiful cat is patiently
waiting for her forever home.

Jemma and her seven pups
Meet Jemma and her seven pups, who are just
starting to walk.
A few weeks ago Jemma found herself pregnant,
running around in the woods in Quincy, IL. Kindhearted people and volunteers worked frantically to
find her a rescue, as the local animal control facility
was full.
Within the week Jemma delivered and H.E.L.P. knew
we couldn’t let this family down. Transport was
secured for mom and the seven babies, who are now
under H.E.L.P.’s care, in a loving foster home and
soon will be available for adoption.
Jemma has had a rough time. She is currently on
treatment for mastitis and some stomach issues,
probably caused by whatever she ate in the woods to
survive. Other than that, she is an excellent mom. She
gets along with dogs and doesn’t mind cats. She is
sweet to people and takes good care of her babies.
There are four girls and three boys in the litter. The
girls are Tara, Bobby, Lyla and Wendy. The boys are
Jax, Chibs and Tig.
If you would like to help Jemma and the kids, here
is a wish list of items needed for their care: Iams dry
smart puppy food, Iams canned puppy food, blankets,
puppy pads, puppy toys.

Jolly came to H.E.L.P. when he was only a few days
old, along with his sister. He had a broken, infected leg
and the foot was missing. He was too young to amputate
the limb, and his foster mom Lacey took on the challenge
of soaking his infected leg multiple times a day.
Working together, Jolly’s foster mom and vets at the
St. Charles Vet Clinic figured out small doses of
antibiotic injections to give him and help him heal. When
Jolly was about 4 weeks old, the bone fell off and the
leg healed. With antibiotics and soaks we were able to
save the rest of the leg and keep the infection away.
With the leg issue under control, Jolly faced another
challenge. He came down with ringworm, and needed
baths and dips twice a week for four months until he
was clear. He is now 10 months old and doing great.
Now living in another foster home, he is a lovely cat
who purrs and gets along great with other cats and dogs.
Jolly still has part of his leg and so far it’s not going
to be amputated. This handicap doesn’t seem to slow
him down and he is ready to find his forever family.

Do you remember our beautiful Jasmine?
She was left in a cage with no access to food or water. She was so
emaciated we didn’t know if she could recover.
The volunteers at CACC knew they had to find this sweet girl a rescue
fast. H.E.L.P. and foster mom Julie stepped up to save her. It was a long
road, but with your donations and the care of many people, she recovered. Now with happy tears we announce Jasmine is on to her next
journey, the perfect forever family!!

Our Board of Directors is looking for passionate
and caring individuals, who are willing to get

SPAYGHETTI DINNER, A SUCCESS!
H.E.L.P. held its annual Spayghetti Dinner
on Nov. 11. Thanks to people like you, who
left the cooking to us for one night to help
animals in need and all the volunteers who
helped with the organization, this event was
a success.
There are so many people to thank for
making the Spayghetti dinner a fun,
successful event:
DRiverview Banquets, Batavia not only
supports H.E.L.P. throughout the year, they
sponsored this event by providing the facility
and food for the dinner.
DThe Party Kitchen of Geneva donated the
delishious cupcakes for dessert.
DAmber, for chairing the event and Karen
for assisting her. Without these ladies the
event would not have been possible.
DAll the volunteers who helped checking
people in, answering questions, setting up
and tearing down, and everything in between.
DAnd last but definitely not least, you.
Everyone came together to raise money for
the animals of H.E.L.P.

Wet Nose’s Lilly’s Giving Tree
H.E.L.P. is honored to be part of Wet Nose's Lilly's Giving Tree
again this year.
Starting on Black Friday and running through Christmas Eve, The
Giving Tree will be at all 3 locations: Geneva Commons, Geneva;
Oak Brook Promenade, Oakbrook;
and opening Dec. 12, The Glen Tower Center, Glenview.
When you visit Wet Nose, be sure to take a look at all of
H.E.L.P.'s "wishes" waiting to be fulfilled.
Grab an ornament and bring it to the register with the rest of
your shopping treasures.

CAT LOVERS
Dependable and reliable, to help our cats at
Petsmart find their forever homes!
Position requires screening potential adopters.
Those interested must be comfortable dealing with
the public and doing paperwork. Some cat
knowledge required. A two hour commitment
once a month is all it takes.
Volunteers are needed on the first and second
Saturdays of every month, from 12-2 p.m.
Also the second Sunday of every month from
1:30-3:30 p.m., or the first and third Thursdays
of every month from 6-8 p.m.
This is a fun but important way you can help!
