Raider JV Beats Schulenburg
The Rice Raider JV football
team defeated Schulenburg by
a score of 29 to 18 on Thursday,
October the 23 at The Swamp.
The offense was lead by quarterback Ryan Moore who connected with receiver Terris Shorter
on a 60-yard touchdown pass and
scored a two-point conversion.
Running back Sean Torres continued on his scoring ways scoring
one touchdown.
Mark Sosa made several
catches to keep Raider drives
alive.
Terrance Shorter scored two
touchdowns.
The offensive line of Jared
Raster, Jesus Leal, Spencer
Spencer, Dominic Castillo and
Cody Miller cleared the way for
the running attack.
Cristian Samaniego was 3 for
3 on point after attempts. He is
perfect for the year.
Defensive standouts for the
Raider defense were, Lance
Howard, Joseph Whitley, Matt
Hoffman, Jonovan Allen, Jared Raster, Jesse Ross, Terris
Shorter, Terrance Shorter, Lance
Howard, Alex Cardenas, Mark
Tuesday, October 21 the freshman went against East Bernard.
Running away with both games
for a match win 25-17 and 25-13.
Jordyn Pausewang, Destiny Williams, Adrianna Ruiz and Allyssa
Rrpec led the serving attack with
several scores in a row. Lindy
Lantelman, Raycie Rathburn
and Relsey Danklefs hit the ball
extremely well sending East Bernard in a tail spin.
Friday, October 24, the freshman battled with Schulenburg.

awesome hitting. The team was a
little sluggish to start, but Jordyn
Pausewang came through with
great serving points and ignited
their spirit. Adrianna Ruiz came
through with some good back row
hits and the team responded.
The Lady Raiders freshman
team is still undefeated and looking to stay that way after Tuesday's match, October 28, against
Hallettsville, their final contest.
