The 76-acre municipal park offers two miles of paved trails, the town’s first dog park, athletic
fields, and a playground that has to be seen to be believed.The extensive farm and train-themed
play area is a reminder of Knightdale’s railroad and agricultural past. There’s a train with tunnel
and slides, a working railroad crossing with lights and bells, a 2-story silo, a play chicken coop,
a corral of bouncy horses, a cow to climb on—and lots more to inspire the imagination.Phase II
is well under way with tennis courts, an amphitheater, farmers market, and arboretum.

YMCA AND AQUATICS CENTER
Just as the features (and fun) of Knightdale Station Park will open in phases over the next
few years, so will the facilities of the Knightdale Station YMCA. First to open—for Memorial
Day 2015—will be the YMCA Aquatics Center. In addition to the outdoor pool, the Aquatics
Center complex will include a pool house with offices, space for lifeguards and restrooms
for swimmers, plus a Kid’s Camp building with separate restrooms for younger swimmers.

The Triangle’s preeminent private school system is opening its first eastern Wake County
campus in Knightdale Station. Thales Academy’s sixth Triangle campus, the Knightdale Station
K-5 elementary school will open for the 2016 academic year with plans for future expansion.
