ATTENTION: Are you using our TPS on any aftermarket Throttlebody? We have noticed that on some aftermarket throttle bodies, the throttle shaft does not extend far
enough past the TPS mounting surface within oem spec. The problem is that if the shaft extension
is too short, it may not engage properly on the TPS causing inaccurate or no TPS reading.
The fix is pretty easy, using a mill, the face of the TPS mounting surface can be cut down so the
shaft engages the TPS properly and the measurement matches oem specs.
The OEM measurement for throttle shaft extension (engagement) is 5.50mm or 0.218”

2 Installing your new TPS sensor: 1) If you haven’t already you need to remove the oem or broken TPS sensor from your throttle body. Installation will need to be done with the TB removed from the manifold. 2) When removed, you will need to slot the existing torx head bolts with a hacksaw or dremel tool. Then a flathead screwdriver can be used to remove the bolts. With the bolts out, the old sensor should lift off with a slight pull. Be sure to clean away any remaining pieces of the old gasket. 3) Next put a little grey RTV on the mounting surface and line up the slot on the back of the K-‐Tuned TPS with the shaft on the throttle body. 4) You will now need to turn the sensor counter clockwise slightly to get the mounting holes to line up. NOTE: If you are turning it clockwise to line it up, installation is incorrect. When lined up properly, you can thread in the bolts with lock washers to hold it in place. Wiring your TPS: 1) Connect the GRN/YEL wire on the oem engine harness to the BLUE wire on the K-‐Tuned TPS pigtail. 2) Connect the RED/BLK wire on the oem engine harness to the PINK wire on the K-‐Tuned TPS pigtail. 3) Connect the YEL/BLUE wire on the oem engine harness to the RED wire on the K-‐Tuned TPS pigtail. www.k-tuned.com
