Since 2004, Domenico Mazzella has served as
the President of "Cultural Association Donna
Regina", which he co-founded, which aims to
promote, disseminate, and propagate the
culture and history of Naples and Campania in
the world. He has a degree in Preservation of
Cultural Heritage from the University of
Naples, Suor Orsola Benincasa and a
specialized Degree in "Restoration, Diagnostics
and Conservation of Works of Art " from the
Institute for Restoration in the Palace of
Caserta, implemented by Istituto Universitario
Suor Orsola Benincasa in Naples. He also
participated in an advanced training course in
“Enhancement of the Cultural Heritage
Landscape and Environmental Archaeology”,
sponsored by the Ministry of Scientific
Research and the University and the City of
Pompei.

Donna Giovanna, your amiable hostess.
A through passionate lover of her
regional cuisine .She is not a chef but
she has grasped the secrets of the
ancient cooking than fantasy , fantasy

She also holds mini-cookery courses,

preparing various Italian dishes in Rick
Stein's highly successful British BBC2
series 'Sea Odyssey' of Denham
Productions. She has also appeared
before American viewers alongside
Tyler Florence in 'Tyler's Ultimate Pizza'
where she gave the American gourmet
many useful hints regarding the art of
producing delicious pizza.

..Jon’s passions for cooking and hospitality and
melding them with his appreciation of all things
Italian. The plan began to take shape on a flight to
Italy in July 2004, following a casual suggestion to
Jon from a fellow traveller who was from Naples
that he ought to open a pizzeria in Chicago. On
that trip, Jon began to talk about the pizzeria idea
to his many Italian friends in Rodi Garganico
(Rodiani). He was encouraged to go west for
“true” pizza, to Naples — said to be the birthplace
of pizza. As that summer drew to a close, Jon was
determined to bring the essence of the Italian
markets, the street life, and the abundance of
Italy right back to Chicago.Within months of his
return home, Jon began the first of many travels
to Naples. There he was warmly and lovingly
received by Italians who understood his desire to
master the art of this simple yet profound food. (If
you read Italian, see Ciro Leone’s ode to “A
Pizza.”) There he studied and became certified as
a “Pizzaiuolo”, or pizza maker.

" TERRA DI LAVORO “:
This is the area referred to as “campania felix”by ancient populations due to its privileged position and the fertility of its
soil . Irrigated by the Volturno and favoured by a mild climate, the province extends from the sea to the Apennines,
alternating between lush vegetation and places of great historic and cultural interest .The vast plains of the Caserta area
opens onto the sea and hosts one of the most famous and widely visited monument of the Region : the Royal Palace of
Caserta ….
ARRIVAL DAY :

Lunch at the main restaurant of the B&B :
Domenic and Jon will give you a detailed description of the dishes and wines which have been
previously agreed with the chefs of the restaurant , which are strictly genuine in the respect of
the tradition of the area.

Night: Dinner at the restaurant of the B&B

and a breathtaking panorama which unfolds all passages of history before
your very eyes… while those following Domenic can enjoy a visit around the
archaeological site of PAUSILYPON and the grotto of Seiano.

The Phlegrean Fields (from the Greek word meaning “burning” ) is an enormous crater
extending to the west of the bay of Naples from the hill of Posillipo to Cuma , embracing the
islands of Nisida , Procida , Vivara and Ischia
