BOOK PRESENTATION “PANE AL PANE”

May 30, 2015 Sandro Bottega spoke at the presentation of Giovanni Soldati’s “Pane al Pane” (Bread to Bread),
held at Eataly Smeraldo, Milan. The book is a sort of continuation of the 1977 book “Vino al Vino” (Wine
to Wine) by the great Mario Soldati. It is a journey in the form of a dialog with a number of artists and
celebrities: first, with author’s partner, Stefania Sandrelli, then with Ettore Scola, Renzo Arbore, Gino Paoli, Maurizio Micheli,
Nino Benvenuti, Pupi Avati, Michele Placido, Tinto Brass, Enrico Vanzina, Francesca Archibugi and Bernardo Bertolucci. The
forward of the book was written by Oscar Farinetti, founder of Eataly, who created a new format to bring Italian food and
bread to the world. Rock star Gianna Nannini also participated in the event, which finished with an aperitivo featuring Bottega
Gold.

Alexander Prosecco Grappa was awarded with the
Silver Medal at the Alambicco d’Oro Competition, organized
by ANAG - Associazione Nazionale Assaggiatori Grappa
(National Grappa Tasters Association).
BRUNELLO AND PETALO
AWARDED IN CANADA
Two Bottega wines were honored at the annual FestiVin
Caraquet on the Acadian Peninsula in Canada. Bottega’s
“Vino dei Poeti” Brunello di Montalcino won 1st place in the
Red Wines Over $20 category, and Bottega “Vino dell’Amore
Petalo Moscato” won 2nd place in the Sparkling Wines
category.

July 1, 2015 Sandro Bottega has been recognized by ATRI
(Italian Association of Retail Travel) as “Producer of the Year”,
an annual award given to the Italian company that most
distinguishes itself in the Retail Travel sector.

IL VINO DEI POETI PROSECCO DOC
Il Vino dei Poeti Prosecco DOC is the best selling sparkling wine in the Bottega range. It is available in
the traditional 75 cl bottle, and in 37.5 cl, 20 cl, Magnum (150 cl) and Jeroboam (300 cl) versions. Sold
through retail and wholesale channels, Il Vino dei Poeti Prosecco DOC is aimed at male and female
consumers, aged 25/65 years, whose buying power is medium to medium-high.
Characteristics of the product
Il Vino dei Poeti is a prestigious product that evokes the joy with which poets, artists and people of culture
toast to life, drinking Italian sparkling wine. Prosecco wine has always been an expression of happiness
and poetry. Harvested a slightly earlier than other varieties, the Glera grapes are characterized by the
round, yellow/green berries whose flavor is slightly sour. Vinified at low temperature, this variety produces
a wine of great fragrance that becomes sparkling after a second fermentation in an autoclave. In fact,
since August 1st 2009, Prosecco has been internationally recognized as a “protected designation of
origin” wine. Prosecco DOC is produced only in the provinces of Treviso, Trieste, Gorizia, Belluno, Padua,
Venice, Vicenza, Udine and Pordenone. Only the names of Treviso and Trieste may be listed on the label.
Two DOCG zones, Conegliano Valdobbiadene and Asolo or Colli Asolani, have been created to offer full
protection for these two established areas of Prosecco production.
Serving suggestions
Prosecco is an excellent aperitif and a wine suited to all courses. It goes well with starters, first courses,
fish and white meats. It is the main ingredient for the preparation of the famous Venetian cocktails Bellini,
Rossini and Mimosa. It should be consumed preferably at a temperature of 4/5 ° C.
SHRIMPS WITH
PROSECCO SAUCE
BELLINI
Ingredients for 4 people: 24 shrimps, 1 glass of Prosecco sparkling
wine, 30 g butter, 1 shallot, 1 cup of broth, salt and pepper to taste.
Ingredients: 3/10 white peach juice,
7/10 Prosecco sparkling wine.
Preparation.
Preparation.
Pour Prosecco into a chilled flute, then
fill to the top with the white peach juice,
previously blended with ice.
COCKTAIL
Bring the broth to a gentle boil, add the shrimps and cook
for ten minutes. When cooked, remove pan from heat.
Remove from broth and peel shrimps and keep them warm in
broth. In a small saucepan, heat the butter and let the finely
chopped shallots soften. When they became clear, add the
wine and reduce to the desired density. Adjust the salt and
pepper. Drain the shrimps, place them on a platter
and finish with the addition of Prosecco sauce.

WITH VINTAGE PROSECCO
May 25-27, 2015 The 24th World Pizza Championship,
held in Parma, Italy, represented an ideal stage for
Bottega to present its “Vintage Prosecco Pizza”, an
innovative pizza whose dough is made with prosecco
yeasts. A special hand-blown glass bottle in the shape
of a slice of pizza was produced, containing 3 liters
of prosecco grappa, especially for the occasion. This
unique piece of artwork was presented to actress
Serena Autieri, “godmother” of the event, by Stefano
Bottega on May 26th.
FLORENCE:
BOTTEGA SPONSORS RAI SCREENINGS
May 29-30 2015 Bottega participated in the RAI Screenings event in Florence,
Italy, for the presentation of RAI and RAI Cinema line-ups. On May 29th Bottega
Gold was served at an aperitivo for the opening of the Gala Dinner, held at the
prestigious Salone dei Cinquecento, in Palazzo Vecchio. After dinner grappas
and liquors by Bottega were enjoyed by all. Actors present at this event who
appreciated Bottega products were Claudio Amendola, Michele Riondino, Alba
Rohrwacher, Andrea Osvart and Carolina Crescentini.

PROMOTIONAL ACTIVITY
Bottega, already present for some years in Nigeria, particularly
in Lagos and the capital Abuja, has developed an intricate
promotional program together with its own local importer during
2014 and early 2015. The reference products were Bottega
Gold and Bottega Diamond.
FIJI
ISLANDS: FOOD AND WINE FESTIVAL
Bottega is consolidating its presence in Fiji and its collaboration with Victoria
Wines, important local importer, which obtained the rights for branding the Food
and Wine Festival with its own name from the Fijian Tourism Expo. The event, which
was held on June 17, 2015, was a great success for the Bottega wine.

ATHENS AND MYKONOS EVENTS
Despite the difficult socio-economic situation that Greece is going through at this time, our importer, Hellenic Distribution, is
very active in the organization themed events dedicated to Bottega Gold. May 16, 2015 the Full Moon Party was held at
the Hilton Hotel in Athens, with the participation of Greece’s most famous DJ, Alexandros Christopoulos. Two weeks later,
on May 30, the Buddha Bar of Santa Marina Hotel, on the fashionable island of Mykonos hosted a private event, with
strictly limited access for VIP customers only.
BOTTEGA PINEAPPLE SPRITZ:
THE
NEW SUMMER COCKTAIL
Bottega Pineapple Spritz is a fresh, new cocktail with satisfying
tropical notes. Is prepared with a base of pineapple liquor
and Prosecco, and served in a tumbler. The strong aroma of
pineapple blends well with the freshness of Bottega Gold.
The addition of ice, small cubes of fresh pineapple, and slices
of fresh ginger, endow the cocktail with further freshness and
delicate spicy notes. Seltzer or soda temper the alcohol content,
making it pleasing to all palates. The Bottega Pineapple Spritz
is characterized by its light yellow color, and is presented as a
summery version of the traditional Aperol or Bitter Spritz.
Bottega Ananas Spritz Recipe:
Ingredients: 2 parts of Ananas Bottega (Pineapple Bottega);
3 parts of Bottega Gold Prosecco DOC; 1 part of Seltzer or soda.
Preparation: Put the ice in a large wine glass, pour the Ananas Bottega liquor with a circular movement to prevent it from
depositing on the bottom, add the Prosecco and finish with a bit of Seltzer or soda. Add a few cubes of fresh pineapple
and a few slices of fresh ginger, thinly sliced, as desired. Garnish the glass with a triangle of pineapple, skin-on.
BULGARIA: SPARKLING BOTTEGA WINES

SOFIA AND PLOVDIV
June, 25 2015 A wine-tasting event was held in Sofia, dedicated to the wines of
Northern Italy. Bottega participated with Bottega Gold and Prosecco DOC. On
June 5, Bottega provided the latter product for the second anniversary of the
Galaxy Club, the biggest nightclub in Bulgaria, which can accommodate up to
1,400 people. The disco club, of imposing size, is located in Plovdiv, the artistic
and cultural capital of the country.

FESTIVAL: SPANDAU BALLET TOASTED WITH BOTTEGA GOLD
July 6-10, 2015 The town of Henley-on-Thames, just a few kilometers outside London, hosted the already famous Henley
Festival that drew over 25,000 people. For the occasion, a Bottega Bar was set up along the Thames, where Gold, Rose
Gold, Soave, Pinot Grigio and Valpolicella Classico were served. A Golden Vespa parked near the venue attracted the
attention of visitors. Spandau Ballet, famous pop group of the 80s, toasted with Bottega Gold.
Marghera in collaboration with the Consortium of Prosecco DOC, in
which Il Vino dei Poeti Prosecco and Valpolicella Classico Superiore
Bottega were presented and tasted. Aquae Venice 2015, closely
linked to Expo 2015, is a program of exhibitions, experiential activities
and conferences based on the theme of water and held in Venice from
May to October 2015.
LONDON: MAGNUM GOLD AWARD FOR BEST
BRITISH
SOMMELIER
July, 19 2015 The three best British sommeliers were honored with a Bottega
Gold Magnum Award. The prestigious prize was awarded to Andrea Rinaldi
(UK Sommelier Association President and Ais President of London), at Bellavita
Expo. The event, held in London from July 19 to 21 at the Business Design
Center, is an exclusive platform to promote Italian products worldwide.

MEDITERRANEAN
DIET TACKLES SMOG DAMAGE
The Mediterranean diet is not only good for the heart and arteries, not only protects us from many
diseases, but a new study demonstrates that it might even work as a natural antidote against smog. The
experiment was carried out by the Italian Society of Internal Medicine (SIMI) on workers of a steel plant
in Milan, where PM10 and PM5 concentration is the same as in the atmosphere of a big city. The research
showed that particulate matter was reduced more than 50% by the level of vitamin E in the blood. This
accelerates the aging of organs and tissues, damage to DNA and makes the body more vulnerable
to cardiovascular diseases and cancer. The Mediterranean diet, rich in foods such as fish, olive oil and
vegetables – provides a natural reserve of vitamins and antioxidants which helps fight the effects of smog.

Bottega’s in-house design department has created a new image for Bottega Limoncino. The tropical
background has been replaced by a picture of the Sicilian coast, to evoke the land where the lemons
- which are the base of this product - come from.

Since the beginning of June 2015, the entrance to the Bottega premises from Via
San Cristoforo has been enriched by a new Corten steel sign characterized by a
large “B”. The imposing monolith was placed near the first rows of the company’s
organic vineyard.
