Sequel to Gus the Space Ranger
Hello, I’m Gustavo but call me Gus. This is one those Easter stories. I hope you like it. Since I
can’t write, I’m having William do it for me.
On the night before Easter, the enclosures were quiet, not even a peep. That’s when I saw a
giant pink bunny. At that very moment, a wolf with rabies bit it then left. That’s when Ed came out
brought him in!
Everyone figured out he was the Easter bunny. Later he asked me, “To my new friend, will you
deliver these baskets for me?”
“Got it, Mr. Bunny,” I replied.
“Since you’re not magical as I, here is a partner and here is your Easter present. Open it
tomorrow, he added.
My partner was a little chick named Spike. A cute fella and amusing, too. So we flew up and,
went. A couple hours later, Spike gave bad news “WE MISSED VIRGINIA”! We were flying from China to
the United States.
We were at Waynesboro, Virginia and up to the last house. Spike passed out on the soft grass
so it was up to me. I flew up went in the chimney and set the baskets, grabbed Spike and left. The next
morning, the animals at the W.C.V. got amazing Easter presents, but I got the most amazing one. It’s a
magical ball that shows where Misty is. No one knows where she is, but I know she is out of trouble.
The Easter Bunny has been released, and Spike started working at the W.C.V. Yes, a little chick
that talks to humans and animal. Bye, life is good.

Easter Owl
One day the Easter Bunny was having a good day until a
cat came up and injured him. A car pulled over and a man
picked up the Easter Bunny and took him to the Wildlife Center
of Virginia.
Miss Amanda put him next to Alex and Pignoli’s pen.
The Easter Bunny said, “Can you deliver these Easter
eggs?”
“Alright,” said Alex, “It’s time to suit up!”
So Alex and Pignoli opened a portal. They crossed it into
the wide world. They flew around the world. When they got to
Miss Amanda’s house, they put an egg on the front porch and
returned to the Wildlife Center of Virginia.

The Easter Bunny asked Gus to deliver his deliveries.
The Easter Bunny told Gus what to do. The first thing he
had to do was to dress up like the Easter Bunny. The
second thing was to hide the Easter eggs.
The Easter Bunny said, “I picked Gus because he
could lay the eggs and hide them like me. He can think
like a human.” The Easter Bunny likes when they do the
same thing like him.
Gus was so excited that he even started hiding the
eggs at the Wildlife Center, even under Miss Amanda’s
desk and inside the A3 pen. Gus was getting ready for
Easter. He was so sad because he wouldn’t find any
Easter eggs, but Gus was excited because he had to hide
the Easter eggs for Easter.
Gus still got to look for at least 30 Easter eggs. Gus
was so happy because it was Easter and he got to look
for Easter eggs!
After all that happened everyone got what they
wanted. But the Easter Bunny was still injured and Gus
had to do the same thing next year!

Gus, the Easter Owl
It was a hot day at the Wildlife Center of Virginia. The Easter
Bunny came hurt with Miss. Amanda caring for him. He got hurt by a
dog that bit his leg and it hurt when he jumped. So he decided to ask
Gus if he would like to fill his place. Gus said he would.
Gus was so excited that he was going to deliver baskets to little
boys and girls. He was so excited that he dressed as a bunny. Miss
Amanda started chuckling and so did the Easter Bunny.
The next day, on Easter night, Gus was ready to deliver. The
Easter Bunny told him some tips and how to do things. Gus went to the
first house and got in it with magic. He hid the baskets and eggs inside
the house and left. Then he kept on going to house to house and to
blocks.
He was at the last place, the Wildlife Center of Virginia, to deliver
baskets to the ambassadors and workers.
In the morning, all the ambassadors and the workers were
surprised. They thanked Gus because they knew it was him. The Easter
Bunny was there for a couple weeks until he was healed and he was
released. He thanked Gus for all his hard work.

Misty, the Easter Owl
The Easter Bunny arrived at the Wildlife Center of Virginia about an
hour ago. He had gotten attacked by a bear and tried to make it across the
road, but luckily someone stopped him.
After that he had got a ride to the Wildlife Center of Virginia. Once
there, he was x-rayed and fixed up. There was a sudden commotion.
“Well uh, what’s going on?” asked the Easter Bunny.
“Misty’s back!” Gus screamed in excitement.
“Oh dear. Too much going on,” the Easter Bunny complained in an
exhausted voice.
“It looks like you got attacked by a bear,” Gus pointed out while staring
the Easter Bunny up and down.
“Well, it was a wimpy bear,” replied the Easter Bunny.
The Easter Bunny hopped over to Misty. “Vas happenin?!?, Okay, sorry.
That happens when I’m around pretty people. Do you think you could do me a
favor though?” he asked in a smooth voice.
“Uhm, Thank,s I guess? I would love to do you a favor…beause I’m nice
like that,” replied Misty. She thought the Easter Bunny was mad, but she liked
helping people.
“Well here is the magic dust. Just sprinkle it over the baskets and they
should shrink, and here is the door dust. Sprinkle it on the door step and the
door should disappear,” the Easter Bunny informed Misty.
Misty shook her head. “Gosh, you are mad, rabbit,” she mumbled to
herself. She shrunk the baskets and ‘the door dust’ and attached it all to her
wing.
~*Ze Next Night*~
After delivering all the baskets, all over the world, which was
exhausting, Misty was back at the Wildlife Center.
“So, how did it go?!?” asked the Easter Bunny, dying to hear the news.
“It was delightful!” she said with a thick British accent for some reason.
Obviously someone spent a little bit too much time in England.
“You didn’t talk to any of the children right?” asked the Easter Bunny.
“Not at all,” Misty answered back, the accent all of a sudden gone.
He handed her a coin. “Keep this with you, at all times and nothing bad
will happen to you, ever again,” the Easter Bunny smiled sweetly.
Misty put the coin away. She decided that the rabbit wasn’t that mad, he
just was serious about his job.
And that my friend, is the story of Misty, the Easter Owl.
Dakota
Gus as the Easter Bunny
Miss Amanda was driving to the WCV. She saw the Easter Bunny hurt so
she pulled over and took him to the WCV. He had broken his leg. He got an
enclosure by Gus.
‘’So, Gus do you know how to fly?’’ asked the bunny.
‘’Yes, I do know how to fly,’’ Gus replied.
‘’So will you do Easter for me?’’ the Bunny replied.
‘’Yes, I will do Easter for you,’’ Gus replied.
So the Easter Bunny gave Gus the Easter basket. “Tonight you have to leave
to deliver.”
‘’Ok, I will leave tonight,’’ Gus replied.
It started getting dark outside. Almost everyone was gone. In 30 minutes,
everyone was going to be gone. Gus knew how to open the door to get out of the
WCV. When everyone was gone, he opened the door.
‘’I am leaving now,’’ Gus replied.
‘’Bye! Have fun but don’t get hurt,’’ said the Easter Bunny.
Gus started in Virginia first, and then went all around the world. After a
while he was finished with a lot of the cities and countries. Then he was going to
be in Bullhead City. He was there to hide a lot of eggs because he knew that Mrs.
Matheson class was there.
After that, he finished delivering to the rest of the world. He hurried back
to the Wildlife Center of Virginia so no one would find him out of his enclosure.
He was really tired and fell asleep really fast.

The Easter Bunny was getting ready to deliver Easter
baskets. The Easter Bunny went and started to deliver the
Easter baskets to little kids. While the Easter Bunny was
delivering the baskets, he got run over by a car. The Easter
Bunny was hurt by the car .The Easter Bunny couldn’t deliver
anymore baskets.
The Easter Bunny asked for help. Someone took the
Easter Bunny to the Wildlife Center of Virginia. They had to
examine the Easter Bunny. The Easter Bunny was right next to
Ruby’s room. The Easter Bunny asked Ruby to deliver the
Easter baskets for him. Ruby said she would deliver baskets for
him.
Then a few weeks later the Easter Bunny got released and
told Ruby thank you and that he would deliver the baskets for
now on. The Easter Bunny was happy to deliver baskets again.

Easter Bunny Substitute
One day Easter Bunny woke up. “Ahh, what a nice day morning,” said
Easter Bunny.
He woke up with his dog, Rebel. “Good Morning, Rebel,” said Bunny. He
got up from his bed, put on his slippers, and made himself some eggs and bacon.
After he was finished, he brushed his teeth and then it was time to go to work as
the Easter Bunny.
When he was hopping along he smelled a jar with carrots. He hopped to
the jar and put his head in the jar. He grabbed a carrot and when he was trying to
get his head out, he realized his head was stuck! Just then, Ms. Amanda came
driving by. She saw poor Easter Bunny and took him to the Wildlife Center.
“Hey, Dr. Adam, we got another one with a jar on his head!” shouted Ms.
Amanda as she walked into the emergency room.
“Awe, man that looks bad, but I think I can take it off,” said Dr. Adam.
“Look on the bright side, at least this one doesn’t spray!” said Davis as he
walked into the room.
“Yeah,” said Amada, giggling,
Dr. Adam got the jar off and put Easter Bunny in a crate to rest. Easter
Bunny thought, “What am I gonna do now? I have to deliver these eggs. Easter’s
coming,”
Just then Ms. Amanda came into the room. “Hi, Bunny. What’s wrong? You
look kind of sad,” asked Amanda, concerned.
“It’s just that I’m sad because I’m supposed to be delivering eggs, but I’m in
here, so, instead I’m letting everyone down,” said Easter Bunny.
Amanda thought for a moment. “Oh, don’t worry Easter Bunny. I think we
can get one of the ambassadors here to help,” said Ms. Amanda, helpfully.
“Oh really? Thanks! Umm . . . do you think Buttercup would be the
substitute for me? I have a little crush on her,” Easter Bunny said, his cheeks
turning red.
“Oh okay then I will go ask her right now,” said Amanda.
*Knock Knock*
Buttercup answered, “Come in! We’ll play with my pink tennis ball.”
Amanda entered, announcing, “Hey Buttercup, I need to ask you something
important, “said Amanda. When Buttercup had given Amanda her attention,
Amanda explained. “Well, you know the Easter Bunny that came in this week?
Well, he needs to recover for a few days and I told him one of the ambassador’s
would make his deliveries for him. He picked you because he has a crush on you.”
Buttercup thought for a moment. “Sure, I would love to help.”
Buttercup went to see the Easter Bunny. She brought him a get well card.
He explained to her what she needed to do. “Here’s what you have to do. It’s
pretty simple. All you do is say ‘Hi, I’m the substitute Easter Bunny and then you
hand them their eggs.”
“Okay, it doesn’t seem that hard,” said Buttercup.
Buttercup went to Rotary Park to delivered 200 eggs.
“Hi, I’m the Substitute for the Easter Bunny. I’m here to deliver 200 eggs
for the Easter egg hunt,” said Buttercup, shyly.
The guy looked shocked at Buttercup with his mouth hanging wide open.
Buttercup was annoyed with him, “Yes I’m a talking black vulture. Big
whoop. Get over it. I have a job to do.”
Buttercup then flew around and delivered all the eggs. After Buttercup was
done, she flew back to the Wildlife Center. She met with the Easter Bunny to tell
him all about it.
“Thank you so much, Buttercup. I’d like to reward you by buying you
dinner at Catch-a-Mouse Dinner.”
“Sounds good to me!”

Easter Bunny + Buddy = Buddy the
Easter Bunny
I am going to tell you about what happened one Easter to the Easter Bunny.
One day at the WCV, the Easter Bunny was at the front door with a note in
his paw. Miss. Amanda went outside and saw him lying down with the note in his
paw and his right arm was hurt. She noticed it was the Easter Bunny. She thought
about what she was going to do with him. Without him there would be no
EASTER. So she took him inside and Dr. Miranda checked him out. He was really
hurt.
It was two days before Easter and he was feeling better so he hopped all
the way to Buddy’s room. He asked him, “Buddy would you like to help me with
Easter?”
“What do you mean you’re the Easter Bunny? You’re lying now get out!”
said Buddy.
The Easter Bunny replied, “Wait! Yes, I am too the Easter Bunny! And I was
told you’re a really good artist.”
“Would I get Easter too?” Buddy asked.
“Sure, why not?” Easter Bunny said.
“Are you trying to trick me?”
“Now why would I do that?” asked the Easter Bunny.
“Fine! Then you have to prove it! Ha-ha! You can’t!” laughed Buddy.
“Yeah, I’ll prove it because I can!”
So the Easter Bunny laid some Jelly beans and Buddy said “OMG! I can’t
believe kids and I eat that!”
“That’s what I do,” stated the Easter Bunny.
“Ok I will start working on them.”
Buddy started working on them he made some with polka dots. He had so
much fun.
Day 2: Easter is here
“It’s the day here I go,” Buddy said excitedly.
Buddy went house to house, delivering the Easter baskets. He had the
best day of his life. When he came back the Easter Bunny came in and said, “I am
really proud of you , you did a better job than I did .”
“Thank you, Easter Bunny. This was the biggest thing I ever did,” said
Buddy.
The Easter Bunny gave him big gifts with what he did and everything went
back to normal.

Pignoli, the Easter Owl
“Pignoli, you have to deliver the Easter eggs,” said the Easter Bunny.”
“But why me?” Pignoli asked.
The Easter Bunny said, “Because I hurt my paw,” said the Easter Bunny.
Pignoli did not know what to say. The Easter Bunny hoped that he would
say yes.
After thinking about it, Pignoli said, “Okay,” with a grin, “But what do I have
to do.
“You deliver the Easter baskets to the houses. But, most important, don’t
let no body see you,” the Easter Bunny said.
“How hard can it be?” thought Pignoli, “I can do it.”
The Easter Bunny told him that he had to deliver all the eggs in 24 hours.
Pignoli rushed around, going to every house until finally he reach the last city in
Arizona.
Pignoli said excitedly, “Wow! I found the classroom that adopted my buddy
Gus and made him famous. I will leave a gold egg for them.”
Pignoli returned to the Wildlife Center of Virginia. “I am almost forgot
them! I can’t forget them; they helped me be an ambassador.” Pignoli hid the
eggs everywhere, even in NX’s pen and under Miss Amanda’s desk.
When he was back in his enclosure, Pignoli thought about his experience.
“I am tired. Wow! What a day! With eggs like that, next time I am telling Gus to
deliver the eggs!”

One day the Easter Bunny was jumping and a big rock was
in front of him. He fell and he was hurt. He was one mile from
the hospital at the Wildlife Center of Virginia. A boy saw him
and he called the ambulance. Five minutes later the ambulance
got him to the Wildlife Center of Virginia.
Three days later, Pignoli walked the Easter Bunny out of
the hospital one night. Pignoli helped Easter Bunny to deliver
the eggs to the houses. They finished delivering all the eggs.
Pignoli said, “Thank you for letting me help you.”
The Easter Bunny said, “You’re welcome.”
Pignoli said good bye to the Easter Bunny and told him to
watch where you jump! They did not want to see him at the
Wildlife Center of Virginia again.

EASTER OWL
One day the Easter Bunny got hurt by hitting his toe on his
chair. He went to the Wildlife Center of Virginia to be treated.
He said, ‘’I need someone to take over my place as the
Easter Bunny.’’ The Easter Bunny saw Gus and thought he was
perfect.
The Easter Bunny went to ask Gus, ‘’What is wrong with
you?’’
‘’I’m imprinted.’’ Gus replied.
‘’What is imprint?” asked the Easter Bunny.
‘’That means I think I’m a person.’’ Gus said.
‘’Oh, okay’’ answered the Easter Bunny. He thought for a
minute. The Easter Bunny announced, ‘’Hey Gus! I would like to
know if you would like to be the Easter Owl?’’
“Sure,” said Gus, “I can think like a person and hide the baskets
really good.”
Now it is Easter. Gus was so excited because he was the
Easter Owl .He delivered every basket to every kid in the world.
The Easter Bunny was happy for Gus.
“Thank you, Easter Bunny. That was fun!’’ Gus said.

Buttercup to the Rescue!!!!
One day, it was Easter. I went to visit Miss Amanda.
After 30 minutes later I went outside to get some air.
When I opened the door, I saw the Easter Bunny lifting
weight,s but the weights were too heavy and the weights
fell on him.
I went to tell Miss Amanda. They took the Easter
Bunny inside to check if he was okay. Twenty minutes
later, Miss Amanda told the Easter Bunny that he
couldn’t deliver the eggs. Buttercup came in to help.
Buttercup delivered 1,325 eggs. The next day, she
returned to her enclosure. Miss. Amanda was very proud
and that is the story of the substitute Easter Bunny.

One sunny day at the park, the Easter Bunny was playing on the on the
swings…..when he fell off.
The Easter Bunny cried,” Owwww, my arm hurts!”
Ms. Amanda saw the Easter Bunny and took him to the Wildlife Center of
Virginia.
When they got to The Wildlife Center of Virginia, they took some x-rays.
The Easter Bunny had broken his arm.
The Easter Bunny asked, “How am I going to be able to make my deliveries
to all the children?”
Ms. Amanda answered, “I’m sorry, but no. I can have an ambassador do it
for you, though.”
“Okay! That would be great!” said the Easter Bunny.
Ms. Amanda was holding the Easter Bunny and walked by the enclosures.
Ms. Amanda told the Easter Bunny,” You may pick an ambassador to be a
substitute for you. Would you like to pick one?”
The Easter Bunny answered, “I would love too, thank you!”
“You’re welcome,” replied Ms. Amanda.
As they walked by Gustavo, he yelled,” He’s the one! He’s perfect! He is a
bird, that means he can fly around the world. He can move faster than others!”
“Ok! He’s really nice! Just tell him what he needs to know and he will be on
his way. This will give your foot time to heal,” said Ms. Amanda.
It was two days until Easter and Gustavo has been trained so he was ready
to go!
The next day, seemed like such a long day, but it was worth it! Gus put
bunny ears on his head and the Easter Bunny watched him fly away.
“Bye,” screamed the Easter Bunny.
As Gustavo flew away, he thought to himself, “I think this is going to be a
thing that’s once in a lifetime.”
When Gustavo reached the first house, he stole some candy out of the
baskets because he thought it looked good! When he got to the third or fourth
house, he hid Easter eggs EVERYWHERE!! They were filled with candy, money,
and warm fuzzies!!!!
He repeated that at every house. He went to about……one million houses!!!
Eventually, he was done and flew back to the Wildlife Center of Virginia.
The Easter Bunny was in his enclosure when Gustavo swooped in.
The Easter Bunny yelled, “Thank you for doing my deed! How may I repay
you?”
Gus replied, “You’re welcome. A nice vacation in Hawaii wouldn’t hurt!”
The Easter Bunny stated, “That’s alright with me!!”
That day they were off to Hawaii!!!

EASTER VULTURE TO THE RESCUE
One day, Dr. Miranda brought in a patient. It was a bunny.
It had a basket stuck on its head. Its fur from its neck was
peeled off. They took her into the hospital. Buttercup was doing
a checkup.
Buttercup asked, “What’s wrong?”
“I feel scared. I don’t know what to do,” answered the
bunny.
“Don’t worry. It’s going be fine. This is a hospital. They will
take care of you,” said Buttercup.
“No, it’s not that,” said the bunny. “
Then what is it?” Buttercup asked.
“It’s because a whole lot kids are waiting for me,” replied
the bunny .
“What do you mean?” asked Buttercup.
“I’m the Easter Bunny,” said the bunny.
“What!? I’m your biggest fan,” she exclaimed. Then
Buttercup started singing Lady Gaga.
Then the Easter Bunny asked, “Can you deliver the eggs for
me?”
Buttercup asked, “But how?
“Escape!” the Easter Bunny told her.
“O.K., I’ll try,”
Dr. Miranda left the room. Buttercup ran out of the room
to deliver the eggs. But, she didn’t deliver them, she dropped
them.
Then she saw Dr. Miranda. Dr. Miranda saw her and
brought her home and the Easter Bunny got released.

One day there was a bunny that submitted
itself to the WCV!!! They found out it was the
EASTER BUNNY!!! He needed someone to make his
deliveries for him. he asked Severus to do it for
him.
Before he faded away he said, “I pIcked you
because you know all the best places. now take
thIs potIon. It wIll help you blend In.”
severus drank the potion and became human.
he couldn’t belIeve hIs eyes. he was human. He
bellowed “I’m human fInally!”
He set off to complete his quest. He came up
to the last house. It would have scared anyone,
especially someone like Squirt because he was
so small. He hid the eggs and left. When he got
back he had a big surprise.

THE EASTER ACCIDENT!
One day there was a bunny but he wasn’t just an ordinary bunny. He
was the Easter Bunny. He had to deliver an Easter basket to his friend
across the road. Then boom! It happened! The Easter bunny had gotten
run over. He was sent to the Wildlife Center of Virginia.
He was there for a month. During that time, Easter came.
Everyone made fun and made jokes like: why did the Easter Bunny
cross the road?
After one week, he had made friends. During week two, he
received letters from across the world. In week three, he had babysat
the injured boxed turtles. It was one the last day of the fourth week,
when it was Easter that the Easter Bunny asked Thelma to be the Easter
opossum for the night because she was small, sweet, gentle, and a
responsible friend. (Plus she was really quiet.)
As the Easter Bunny was leaving, Thelma pulled him backed and
whispered in his ear, “Get hurt again so I can see you!”
When Thelma got back from delivering the baskets, the Easter
Bunny gave her a basket, with pictures of him. Also a bag of magic
powder and a teddy bear holding a picture of Thelma and the Easter
Bunny. The two teddy bears holding together were Thelma and the
Easter Bunny. So she had sent him a basket saying “Friends Forever”.
Also it was a picture with the WCV staff and all the wild life critters
there.

One day the Easter Bunny was giving Easter eggs to the houses. He didn’t
see the rock and he tripped and he hit his head. He got up and he felt dizzy and he
fell.
A man found the Easter Bunny and took him to the WCV and Miss. Amanda
put the Easter Bunny next to NX.
The Easter Bunny asked NX but she said, “No, because I need to rock like a
rock star.”
Then the Easter Bunny asked Gus and said, “No because I work at school.”
He was about to give up but he didn’t. He asked Buddy and Buddy said yes.
The Easter Bunny gave Buddy the Easter eggs and told him to be careful
with the eggs.
Buddy left for the first house and hid the Easter eggs. Buddy left to go to
the next house and did the same thing with the eggs. Buddy saw a boy. He said
he was the Easter Eagle and the boy scratched his head.
Buddy returned to the WCV and said, “I’m okay.”
The Easter Bunny was okay and was released.

Buttercup’s Easter
Miss Amanda found the Easter Bunny on the street and she took
him to the Wildlife Center of Virginia.
The Easter Bunny was happy and he asked Buttercup if she can
deliver the eggs.
Buttercup said that is okay. The Easter Bunny said thank you.
Buttercup okay.
“I must go, Buttercup, ’’ the Easter Bunny.
Buttercup said, “Bye, Easter Bunny.”
She left to deliver the eggs to the people. Everybody was happy
and the Bunny was very, very happy and he said to Buttercup, “Thank
you, Buttercup.”

At the WCV, I will vote for Gustavo to be the Easter Bunny,
because he is a really nice barred owl. People on the Critter Cam should
vote for Gustavo as the Easter Bunny. Gustavo is a really cool barred
owl.
Gustavo tries to do wonderful tricks because he is a really smart
barred owl. He flies high in the sky and he looks awesome when they
put the bunny ears on Gustavo.
Gustavo is the best barred owl ever. So please vote for Gustavo.
He wakes up in the morning and Ms. Amanda gave two mice to
Gustavo. Gustavo was a really happy barred owl. Gustavo flies
everywhere, so please vote for Gustavo as the Easter Bunny.
