Sjusjøen has been voted Norway’s best area for cross-country skiing for
several years running. In his beautiful landscape, visitors can enjoy 350
km of prepared trails in terrain ranging from woodland to open mountain plateaus – without the steep climbs, but yet with elevations offering
spectacular views. A large section of the renowned Birkebeiner Trail runs
through the area.

Where/location:
Sjusjøen, 850 m above sea level, is located 22 km east of Lillehammer in
the municipality of Ringsaker. By car: 2 hours from Oslo / 1 ½ hours from
Gardermoen / 50 min. from Hamar / 20 min. from Lillehammer.
By rail: take the train to Lillehammer and then bus to Sjusjøen.
