Milad Ataei Ashtiani Design of Integrated Power Converter for Ultra-Low Power Body Energy Harvesters Applications Ø Power autonomy, human-centered medical wearable sensors which are useful for early diagnosis of Alzheimer and Epilepsy through EEG and ECG signals monitoring over long periods. milad.ataei@epfl.ch EPFL Neuchâtel Advisers Alexis Boegli Pierre-André Farine 01.07.2013 – 30.06.2017 Ø Medical Platforms × BodyPoweredSenSE Research question Ø Body energy harvesters produce small power at low voltages. The low voltage converters have not been adapted well so far. This research is looking for methods to improve efficiency and supply energy for power hungry sensor nodes. Methods/Results Ø Designing optimum and architectures in system level, and use of ultra-low power blocks in circuit level. 50% efficiency has been achieved for 20mV harvested voltage up to now.
