Hello, my name is Doreen Torres. I'm a proud wife
and mother of three precious children...Jesse, Isabella
and Jonathan. They are the reason for starting this
cookie business. In 2008, I was laid off from my job
as an escrow officer. I had been employed at the same
title company for ten years so when the California
real estate market in crashed and my layoff day
finally came, I feared I would have no other means of
income. Besides escrow, I had no other skills...or at
least that's what I thought.
!I bake when I'm stressed so needless to say, I was
baking a whole lot. My son was 12 years old at the
time. We were sitting down enjoying some freshly
baked cookies when he says to me "Mom, you should

light bulb turned on! I launched

painted oak tree slice makes a beautiful rustic sign
to hang on your wall or prop on your bookcase.

What a poignant reminder of God's love for us! It
would also be perfect just as a reminder of the love
we have for each other, whether it's our spouse, our
families, our friends, just that love is here. Don't
forget it! How beautiful would it be as wedding

This sign is much smaller than the other tree slice
signs I have in my shop, roughly 6 inches in
diameter and 1.5 inches thick. It's rough cut on my
families farm and left unsanded for a true rustic
look and feel. I hand paint the lettering using my
signature funky script in white acrylic. The sign
pictured has already been sold, but yours will be
very similar. Part of the beauty of these pieces is
that no two will ever be exactly the same - as unique
as the love it represents!
This one of a kind (OOAK) wall hanging was
created from a repurposed leather swatch and hand
painted with the words 'oh darling let's be
adventurers'. In a rich navy top grain leather, this
piece would make a fabulous gift for the person
you go on adventures with!
It's hung on a 1/4in unfinished oak dowel with
natural bakers twine and finished with natural
wooden beads. Hand lettered with bright white
acrylic in my signature funky calligraphy.
Truly unique and one of a kind, you aren't going to
find something like this any where else!
The banner pictured has been sold, but yours will
be nearly identical! As a completely handmade
piece crafted from all natural materials, some
variations are to be expected, but they only add to
the charm of the piece. I promise!

makes my blankets so unique is that I don’t do quilting or use yarn
ties to keep the fabric together. Instead, I sew designs or scenes to keep
