Reinstall wheel well *For E90 2006* you will need to modify housing so it can fit properly into the car’s housing. This is shown below. Original, the black piece will not fit inside housing. This must be removed (very easy) Take flat head and remove both plastic sides. Slide out electronics from black housing Slide electronics into light fixture. This is safe and okay. Done, ready to install. Follow instructions below. Process with Pictures: Process 1: Jack up BMW and remove the wheel. Once the car is placed on a jack, use your 17mm socket to remove all 5 nuts and remove wheel. If wheel is hard to slide off, try hitting the tire softly with a rubber mallet in a circular motion to loosen. By doing so the wheel should come off easily from there. Place wheel in a safe location and continue to Process 2. Process 2: Remove entire wheel well By removing the wheel well, you can access the light housing much easier. The wheel well is held together with 9 screws and 1 nut. Additionally, there are 4 screws to be removed underneath the front bumper. Once all screws/nuts are removed, move wheel well around to free up and remove it. Place wheel well off to the side and continue onto Process 3. (This vehicle had some screws missing from previous installations) (Underneath bumper, remove screws and nuts such as one displayed that are holding wheel well) Process 3: Remove back plastic housing of OEM Angel Eye housing To remove this cover, place your body into wheel well and locate the two clips on the housing (top and bottom). Grab you slotted screwdriver and unclip. For this process I tried to pry but was afraid I was going to break the plastic. Instead I placed the flat head in-between the housing and the clip and made a twisting motion while gently pulling on the housing. Came off easily and safely. Remove housing and continue onto Process 4. Process 4: Unscrew OEM bulb Picture below shows old bulb. This particular one is not OEM, but a old Angel eye that has burnt out. On each side of bulb there is one very long screw that needs to be unscrewed with a Torx T-15. Unscrew and remove Positive and Negative wires. Place old bulb off to side and continue onto Process 5. Process 5: Connect in New BMWLED Angel Eye. Blue Wire=Positive White Wire=Negative Tested and works perfectly! Time to reassemble by moving onto Process 6. Process 6: Screw assembly back into using original screws or use the ones provided in the kit Now check to make sure both rings are illuminated properly. Check! Process 7: Put back plastic housing back on (Looking at the housing, make sure the plastic piece with the circular hole in it is in the top right position. This is the correct way when placing it back onto the car) Process 8: Reinstall wheel well Place wheel back on and do not forget to torque your wheels! Enjoy the new bright white Angel Eyes
