• 7-ply 3/4” pressure preserved marine
plywood deck panels.
• TIG-welded joints superior to all others
in the industry
We start with air pressurized and chambered
construction that strengthens the inner walls of
the tubes. The Berkshire chassis is constructed
using extruded C-channel and box channel cross
members spaced every 16 inches. This provides
a rigid platform and a more stable base for each
pontoon boat.
At Berkshire we also weld a full-length structural
riser to the tubes and bolt to floor supports.
Marine-grade, stainless steel fasteners are
then used to attach pressure-preserved marine
plywood deck panels to the crossmembers, floor
supports and risers. The result is a design that
produces superior strength and durability.
Lasting comfort, support and durability are
built into all our on-deck furniture. Foundations
with tubular steel construction and serpentine
springs far exceed ABYC standards and highdensity foam is covered with the highest grade,
soft-touch marine vinyl.
