entry-level embedded software and digital circuit
development platform built around the smallest member of
the Xilinx Zynq-7000 family, the Z-7010. The Z-7010 is based
on the Xilinx All Programmable System-on-Chip
(AP SoC) architecture, which tightly integrates a dual-core
ARM Cortex-A9 processor with Xilinx 7-series Field
Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) logic. When coupled with
the rich set of multimedia and connectivity peripherals
available on the ZYBO, the Zynq Z-7010 can host a whole
system design. The on-board memories, video and audio

NETFPGA-SUME / NetFPGA 1G CML
Overview
Overview
The NetFPGA-SUME board is the ideal platform for highperformance and high-density networking design. A
collaborative effort between Digilent, the University of
Cambridge and Stanford University, the NetFPGA-SUME
has everything you need to conduct cutting edge
research and development of state-of-the-art networking
systems.
The NetFPGA-1G-CML is a versatile, network hardware
development platform featuring a Xilinx Kintex®-7
XC7K325T FPGA and includes four Ethernet interfaces
capable of negotiating up to 1 GB/s connections. The
NetFPGA-1G-CML is designed to support the Stanford
NetFPGA architecture. 512 MB of 800 MHz DDR3 can
support high-throughput packet buffering while 4.5 MB of
QDRII+ can maintain low-latency access to high demand
data, like routing tables. Rapid boot configuration is
supported by a 128 MB BPI Flash, which is also available for
non-volatile storage applications. The standard PCIe form
factor supports high speed x4 Gen 2 interfacing. The FMC
carrier connector provides a convenient expansion
interface for extending card functionality via Select I/O and
GTX serial interfaces. The FMC connector can support
SATA-II data rates for network storage applications and can
also be used to extend functionality via a wide variety of
other cards designed for communication, measurement,
and control.
The NetFPGA-SUME's main mission is to give students,
researchers and developers a state-of-the-art platform for
networking, whether it’s learning the fundamentals or
creating new hardware and software applications. This
board easily supports simultaneous wire-speed
processing on the four 10Gb/s Ethernet ports, and it can
manipulate and process data on-board, or stream it over
the 8x Gen.3 PCIe interface and the expansion interfaces.
The NetFPGA-SUME is an amazingly advanced board
that features one of the largest and most complex FPGA’s
ever produced, a Xilinx Virtex-7 690T supporting thirty

Accessory
Analog Parts Kit
The Analog Parts Kit contains a large selection of components
perfect for creating a wide variety of useful circuits & devices.
Featuring Analog Devices components, the kit includes
transistors, resistors, capacitors, diodes, sensors, and variety of
useful ICs including Op Amps, convertors, and regulators. Finally,
the kit also comes with an assortment of lead
wires, a solderless breadboard, and a
screwdriver. A complete list and description
of components can be found on the
Digilent website.
Discovery BNC Adapter
The Discovery BNC adapter board is intended to be used with the
Analog Discovery™ tool to enable the use of standard BNC
terminated test leads and probes. It provides BNC terminations to
each of the two oscilloscope channels on the Analog Discovery.
Each channel of the oscilloscope can be selected as AC or DC
coupled by adjusting the jumper that is located behind that
channel’s BNC input connector. In addition, the two AWG
channels are also equipped with BNC terminations,
and each channel can have either the 50-ohm or
the 0-ohm termination selected. This enables the
user to match the Analog Discovery’s output
impedance with either standard 50-ohm test
leads or to be directly tied to the lead.
Power Brick
Every circuit needs a power supply, but simple, low cost, portable,
and reliable power sources can be hard to come by. The
PowerBRICK family provides the solution to all of those
requirements. There are four options to choose from: 12V, 9V, 5V,
or 3.3V. PowerBRICKS are designed to easily plug directly onto
your breadboard for simple, low profile integration. Powered by
5V from a standard USB, each PowerBRICK can provide up to
1.1W of power. PowerBRICKS can also be daisy-chained to
provide more than one +/- Vout pair, but total power output for the
entire chain should not exceed 2.2W.
Available in four output voltages:
Ÿ 12V (±100mA)
Ÿ 9V (±130mA)
Ÿ 5V (±200mA)
Ÿ 3.3V (±320mA)

Pmods
Flexible peripheral modules for all your designs
Pmods™ are Digilent’s line of Peripheral Modules, small I/O interface boards that offer
an ideal way to extend the capabilities of programmable logic and embedded control
boards. They allow sensitive signal conditioning circuits and high-power drive circuits to
be placed where they are most effective - near sensors and actuators.
Pmods communicate with system boards using 6, 8 or 12-pin connectors that can carry
multiple digital control signals, including SPI and other serial protocols. Pmods allow for
more effective designs by routing analog signals and power supplies only where they
are needed, and away from digital controller boards.
Pmods work on system boards that adhere to the Pmod Standard. The Pmod Standard
lays out guidelines for form factor, communication protocols and access to a target
audience through reference manuals, code examples, user guides, and technical
support. You can learn more about the Pmod Standard by visiting its resource center.

Ndigo Crate-5 / PCIe over cable
With the Ndigo Crate it is possible to use up to 5 PCIe boards and 2 PCI boards
with a PC. The connection of the external chassis to the PC happens over PCIe2
x16 for a full duplex bandwidth of 2x 8GByte/s.
The enclosure was specically designed to operate multiple synchronized
cronologic digitizer boards to create a high speed data acquisition system. It can
also be used to house other DAQ cards, GPUs for high performance computing,
storage adapters or networking equipment.
The extension is fully transparent. The operating system can't distinguish between
boards in the PCIe expansion box and boards inside the PC itself. No drivers are
required.
The slot covers are on the front side of the enclosure to easily see status
information and plug in cables during operation.
The crate is delivered as a set with cable and PC link board.
