If you haven’t met Kristen, you’re in for a treat! Of course, we can say
that because she is our daughter and we are very proud of her! Kristen
will begin Paramedic school in July while still working as our store
manager. She will complete her Associates in Paramedicine. In the case
of an emergency, I would definitely want her to be the one by my side!

Dear Family and Friends:
What an exciting summer this will be! There is a lot to do here
in this marvelous city and we are excited to be a part of it! The
fun begins for us in July because we were selected to be a food
vendor at the Noon Concerts in the Park and at the Riverview
Six to Sunset Concerts, both of which are held at Esther Short
Park. The noon concerts are from 12 to 1 p.m. starting July 9 and
the sunset series begin at 6 p.m. on Thursday, July 10. For more

You will also see our booth down at Esther Short Park on
August 9 at the Epiphany in the Park which is a free concert and
features Christian musicians. There’s more about the event in this
newsletter.
Actually, there is so much going on that I need to make room
for it and don’t want to take up any more space with my column.
Please read through the newsletter carefully and make sure to
enter the drawings (Hot July Nights tickets worth $80 and pizza
and movie tickets) and mark the events down on your calendar.

Uptown Movie Nights
On four consecutive Saturday nights starting
July 19th, 23rd Street is closed near Main Street
and is transformed into our “neighborhood living
room” complete with movies and popcorn.
Anyone can bring a lawn chair and enjoy a
movie with family, neighbors and friends. Movies
are shown in a parking lot located on the corner
of 23rd and Main in downtown Vancouver. Show
time is 8:45 p.m. and live, local music starts
between 7:30 and 8 p.m.
Admission is FREE and popcorn, soda and
candy are available for $1 each. VPC will also
have slices of pizza available at our restaurant.

the concession stand or information
