Wisconsin Joint State Education Convention – Invitation to Exhibit
Meet the Decision Makers!
Join us at the premier education event of the year!
On January 20-22, 2016, more than 2,000 school board members and administrators will gather in Milwaukee at the
Wisconsin Center and the Hilton Milwaukee Downtown Hotel with one thing in common: education. They are the decision
makers for Wisconsin’s public education system. The State Education Convention is an ideal opportunity for you to reach
this target audience with your school-related products and services.
Meet the decision-makers
Co-sponsored by the Wisconsin Association of School Boards (WASB), Wisconsin Association of School District
Administrators (WASDA) and Wisconsin Association of School Business Officials (WASBO), the objective of the Convention
is to provide a high quality, must-see event for education leaders throughout the state. Top speakers, informative break-out
sessions, and networking opportunities are hallmarks of the event. You can be a part of it.
More ways to tell your story
As an exhibitor, your business will be promoted through print and electronic convention materials and on the Convention
website. You also have a variety of advertising and sponsorship opportunities available to you at special exhibitor rates to
increase your exposure.
Questions?
Please contact Amy Qualmann –
WASB Communication Specialist and Event Planner
at 608-512-1713 or [email protected], or visit
the Convention website at
www.wasb.org/convention.
We look forward to working with you and providing
the top-quality event you expect.
Sincerely,
John H. Ashley

“The state education convention continues to be a
“must attend” event for our team. It’s an outstanding
opportunity for us to see and meet with our district
partners, and the educational sessions are extremely
beneficial. It’s clear that a lot of work goes into
identifying timely topics and providing resources to help
keep Wisconsin’s schools great. We accomplish a great
deal while we’re there and will continue to show our
support by attending and sponsoring this outstanding
event.”
Breanna Hellenbrand, M3 Insurance
“Our sales team looks forward to this event every year.
Having a booth at the State Education Convention gives
us the opportunity to meet with hundreds of school
district decision makers. WASB staff are easy to work
with, organized and gracious. Plus, they continue to
evolve their event to provide value to their attendees
and their sponsors. Our new favorite thing is the
convention app!”
Mel Grau, WEA Trust

Wisconsin Joint State Education Convention – Invitation to Exhibit
95th State Education
Convention & Exhibit Show
The Wisconsin State Education Convention is co-sponsored by three
organizations that represent public school leadership.
• Wisconsin Association of School Boards (WASB)
• Wisconsin Association of School District Administrators (WASDA)
• Wisconsin Association of School Business Officials (WASBO)
Collectively, they represent their member perspectives to state and federal
agencies, provide members with information and services, and provide a
link to the services and products of many companies.
Marking its 95th year, the Wisconsin State Education Convention gathers
public school policy makers in key decision-making positions to:
1. Share ideas about school governance and school programs.
2. Learn about and discuss current topics that affect public schools.
3.Hear about and participate in discussions regarding state and
federal legislation.
4. Meet vendors to review products and services available to public
schools.
Highlights of the three-day event include:
WASB Delegate Assembly — School board delegates
from each of Wisconsin’s 424 school districts, as well as
representatives of the state’s 12 Cooperative Educational Service
Agencies (CESAs), debate public education issues and adopt resolutions that guide WASB activities and advocacy.
Keynote Speakers — The governor of Wisconsin and the state superintendent of public instruction are
invited to speak each year, as well as notable national speakers with a background in leadership, governance
and/or public education.
Exhibits — More than 280 providers of school-related products, services or information participate in a 38,000
square-foot exhibit show, offering solutions to school districts that save money, improve facilities and enhance the
effectiveness of their programs.
Presentations— Break-out sessions featuring school district experts and vendor experts cover all aspects of
public school leadership.
Workshops — Local and national experts offer hands-on opportunities for improving skills and building
knowledge in a particular governance or leadership area.
Special 2016 Opportunity:
Sustainable Schools Pavilion — The 2016 State Education Convention will feature a Sustainable
Schools Pavilion in the Exhibit Hall to highlight products and services that promote green and healthy schools. Are you a
company that promotes energy-saving ideas, healthy living or other ways to improve the sustainability of our schools? If
so, take advantage of the Sustainable Schools Pavilion to promote your efforts. See page 10 for details.
