Billy Grant's Bricco Trattoria is "rustic yet upscale" Italian combines "unique, flavorful" cuisine, including artisanal pizzas, with an "extensive" wine list, "wonderful" service and a "busy bar scene", adding up to a "memorable dining experience" – the only downside is no reservations for smaller parties, which can "make for long waits"; the farmhouse-inspired "true trattoria" in Glastonbury also dishes up a dose of "fun" along with "delicious" fare, all made with "fresh ingredients." –Zagat When: Where: Cost: RSVP: Menu: Questions: Thursday, May 7 at 6:30 pm Bricco Trattoria 124 Hebron Ave, Eric Towne Square, Glastonbury $43 or $50 if ordering steak (price includes tax and tip, excludes beverages) Go to www.GlastonburyNewcomers.org to register by Tuesday, May 5 http://billygrant.com/data/menus/$35_$40%20Dinner%2012-172014_1423856656.pdf Lillian Tanski at [email protected] Don't forget to check us out at www.GlastonburyNewcomers.org and "like" us on Facebook! Page 6 of 11 Glastonbury Newcomers' & Neighbors' Club - May 2015 Book Club At our next meeting we will be discussing “The Boy in the Suitcase” by Lene Kaaberbol and Agnete Friis. Nina Borg, a Red Cross nurse, wife, and mother of two, is a compulsive do-gooder who can't say no when someone asks for help—even when she knows better. When her estranged friend Karin leaves her a key to a public locker in the Copenhagen train station, Nina gets suckered into her most dangerous project yet. Inside the locker is a suitcase, and inside the suitcase is a three-year-old boy: naked and drugged, but alive. Is the boy a victim of child trafficking? Can he be turned over to authorities, or will they only return him to whoever sold him? When Karin is discovered brutally murdered, Nina realizes that her life and the boy's are in jeopardy, too. In an increasingly desperate trek across Denmark, Nina tries to figure out who the boy is, where he belongs, and who exactly is trying to hunt him down. Come join us to discuss! WHERE: WHEN: TIME: RSVP: Rooftop 120 May 13, 2015 7 PM [email protected] Helping Hands It’s during difficult times when neighbors can rally together to help brighten someone’s day and give true meaning to the Helping Hands Committee. We rely on other member families to inform us when a helping hand is needed. Thank you. Contact Luciana Wiksten at 617-780-4828 or [email protected].
