With three half-day lectures, you will have the opportunity to enhance your orthodontic knowledge with 12 hours of CE as well as time to take in the many activities available in the Colorado Mountains. Dr. Stuart Frost - Friday Dr. Tarek El-Bialy - Sunday Sponsored by: Ormco Sponsored by: RMO “Using 3D Technologies to Grow my Practice on a Daily Basis” Dr. Frost received his dental degree at the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry and practiced general dentistry for 5 years – two with his father and three in his own office. Following a one-year fellowship in temporomandibular joint dysfunction, he completed a two-year residency in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics at the University of Rochester. He is currently a part-time associate clinical professor at the University of the Pacific Orthodontic Program. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. Dr. Kubisch was an assistant clinical professor at the University of Washington in the Department of Orthodontics from 1981 to 1988. He is the founder of Summit Dental Study Group. Dr. Kubisch has a full time orthodontic practice in Santa Barbara, CA. Educational Objectives • How to interface with other doctors to provide an interdisciplinary treatment plan • Identification of the Line of Receprocation as a tool to facilitate proper attachment design for best movement • How do aligners avoid reciprocal anchorage challenges • How to plan for proper anterior guidance using aligners • Using interincisal measurements to help quantify and plan “Using Wilson 3D to Resolve Severe Crowding and Treatment of Class II and Class III in Growing Children and to Manage Impacted Teeth” “Friction in Orthodontics, Facts and Myths – from Lab to Clinical Practice” “Accelerated Orthodontics with Therapeutic Ultrasound-Science Behind Clinical Application” Tarek El-Bialy is currently Associate Professor of Orthodontics and Bioengineering at the University of Alberta. He has more than 60 publications, book chapters and more than 100 international presentations. Dr. El-Bialy’s research focus is on using therapeutic ultrasound in craniofacial regeneration as well as biomechanics.Dr. Tarek is also an orthodontist at Sphinx Orthodontics in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Educational Objectives Lecture 1: Attendee will learn how complex cases of arch length deficiency, class II and class III can be treated with simple appliance like the Wilson appliance. Lecture 2: Attendee will learn how self-ligating and non-self-ligating systems have not much effect on resistance to sliding when discussing friction. Detailed lab (science) data and clinical cases will be presented. Lecture 3: Attendee will learn how ultrasound can accelerate tooth movement while preserving teeth roots from root resorption accompanying orthodontic treatment.
