WPRZ’s First Praise Gathering
and Concert with John Sines Jr.
was a great success!
"A Call To Prayer"
Thank You for
Praying and Giving!
A vision for many years, the first WPRZ Praise Gathering and Concert
took place on July 19th at the Culpeper Christian Community Center. What
a great time it was! Thank you to Ron and Melody Frazier, Stephen
Found, Event Coordinator, Jube Henshaw and the Board of Culpeper
Christian Community Center for going out of their way to welcome us and
all the concert goers. They even cooked hot dogs and more out front and
helped to welcome everyone and make them feel at home. Thank you to
Alex Smith and the Praise Team from Culpeper Baptist Church for leading
us in exuberant praise and worship to begin the evening. John Sines, Jr.
was fabulous and gave his testimony in word and song which lead up to an
invitation to accept Christ. Seven people accepted Christ, to God be the
glory! What a grand time it was.
Thank you to everyone who helped make the evening such a great
success including Kandy Flippo, Dylan Haddock, Carrie Foscato, and
Shirley Nicodemus. Thank you to Shelley Burnham for working with Good
Earth Flowers who decorated the Center with flowers for the occasion
which were then given away as door prizes. Also, for working with Sweets
by Monique who provided some great pies and cupcakes and also to
Heavenly Scent Cupcakes who provided cupcakes for door prizes as well.
Future Praise Gatherings and Concerts will be held the third Saturday of
each month except for August which we are skipping because of “A Call To
Prayer” and Kandy’s previously scheduled vacation. So the next Praise
Gathering and Concert will be on Saturday, September 20th. Listen to 88.1
FM for all the details!
What a special time it was as WPRZ listeners joined
with us in prayer that God would provide the funds to
eliminate the nagging $26,000.00 deficit WPRZ had at the
end of the first six months of this year. We learned the
importance of persistence even when it looked as though
everyone who was going to give had given. God always came
through with another new friend or someone called up or came
in with a special gift that made our day. Thank you to everyone
who was a part of this very special time when God answered
our prayers and eliminated the deficit!
Thank you to nationally known artist and
sculptor Tomás Fernandez for the incentives he
gave to encourage and bless our friends. The
"Crux Gloria" crosses he gave are

Thank you for hearing the call and for giving what God put
on your heart to give! Together, we will keep WPRZ FM on the
air glorifying God and growing believers!!

Position Open at WPRZ!
We are looking for someone to cover the morning air shift
from 8:00 am to 12 noon on Tuesday, Wednesday, and
Thursday of each week. We are looking for someone who
loves people, is a good speaker with a pleasant voice, has a
teachable spirit, and wants to serve God in this
capacity. Radio experience is not required but would be a
plus. This volunteer position can result in a paid position later
on when funds are available. If you are interested and want
