Celebrates Five
Years On The Air!

Give Local Piedmont!
It's hard to believe but on May 28th, WPRZFM will have been on the air for five
years! What a joyful day it was when we
heard WPRZ on the FM radio band for the first
time! It was a new day for the station and it
soon became clear that God was moving the
station to Culpeper as Culpeper was now in the center of our new
FM signal. We saw God do miracle after miracle to get this
station on the air in Culpeper. He has put it here for you and you
have expressed your appreciation with your cards, emails, letters,
and financial support over these past five years. What a joy it has
been for us to meet so many new people and to hear the joy in
your voices as you told us how you found the new station and
heard gospel music in your favorite music style! In addition to
Contemporary music, God was being Glorified in Christian
Country and Gospel Bluegrass music now in the Piedmont
area! Support has steadily grown over the years....but we still
have a ways to go to be where we need to be financially. It's
been tough...but we know that God is in control and He will use
His people to provide for WPRZ-FM as they seek His will and do
what He puts on their hearts to do!
We are pleased to report that WPRZ received 90 donations ranking
us 13th for the number of donations received out of the 138
nonprofits that participated in Give Local Piedmont. For WPRZ,
Give Local received $9,172.00 which will be given to us sometime
in July. Before May 5th, WPRZ received $5,800.00 in funds to be
matched during Giving Day...and they were! This accounted for a
grand total of $14,972.00. We are so thankful to everyone who
gave to make this happen. Thank you from the bottom of our
hearts. IMPORTANT: We are still hoping to reach our goal of
$30,000.00 that is needed to catch up with operating expenses and
get us back on track. That means that WPRZ still needs $15,028.00
in additional funds to get current. Please pray with us that we will
reach this goal quickly! If you weren't able to give on Giving Day, then
now is the time to do that! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts
for supporting WPRZ!!
How Is God Using
WPRZ in Your Life?
The most requested song on WPRZ out of all the
different music styles we play is Buddy Davis's
song "If Heaven Had A Window"! You can have this
song on Buddy's CD "I Am Not Ashamed" if you are the first to call
with the correct answer to one of our May Bible Quiz
questions! Buddy wrote this song about his mother and, hopefully,
we'll hear from Buddy himself about the story behind this great
song. So be listening for an interview with Buddy Davis and for
your chance to win this great CD! There is no age limit but you
can only win once! Have your Bible handy and get ready to call!
We have heard how so many of you are growing in your
relationship with the Lord and in your knowledge of the Bible
as a result of the great Bible teachers on the station! Many
have shared with us how they found the station and how God
used a song or a program to speak to them. Do you have a
story to share with us? We would love to hear it!! It would
mean so much if you could come in and share it...or write us a
letter. You can also call the station after 6:00 pm and leave us
a message. We would love to share your story with all the
WPRZ listeners. Yes, it takes time to do that...but your story just
might encourage someone who needs to hear a special word of hope
or just needs some special encouragement. Thank you for taking the
time to do that!

Dear Steve and Sally, Please find enclosed a small portion of the blessings we have been blessed
with from the Lord. We know that we are blessed because we are continuously being fed His Word
either by fellowshipping in our local church, or by listening to WPRZ Radio, who everyday is Glorifying
God through their program and Growing Believers like Daniel and I.
Thank you for allowing the Lord to use your radio resource to get His message out of Salvation to many
that probably can’t get to a church, but that have access to a radio, to get His Word, and get blessed by
it. Continue the good work. We know that God is very proud of you.

In Memory of Doug Leonard
God sent Doug to WPRZ-AM back in November of 2001 at a time when we needed
someone technically knowledgeable to get us through a time of transition from manual
operation to computer operated automation. Doug was invaluable as we began to
install our first satellite dish. Over the 6 years Doug was involved at the station in
Warrenton he was always willing to come in and work for hours mostly on a volunteer
basis. We could not have gotten through those critical years without him. Doug loved the Lord and
served Him well at WPRZ-AM and at Midland Church of the Brethren. We will all miss him but we can
rejoice because we know Doug is in Heaven with our Lord and we will see him again!
