Champex® is a detoxifying and order-reducing extract of the Agaricus
bisporus mushroom, clinically shown to decrease concentrations of several toxic

in rabbits reported consumption of Champex® produced deodorant effects evidenced

Oligonol® is a patented low-molecular-weight polyphenol with unparalleled
absorption. Flavonoids, which typically exist in conjugated structures, have limited
bioavailability due to high molecular weights. The manufacturing process of Oligonol®
breaks down these conjugated structures enriching the concentration of monomer,
dimer, and trimer flavonoids which present superior absorption profiles as a result
of their reduced molecular weight. Oligonol® has been shown to be beneficial in

hat is the NASC?
The National Animal Supplement Council (NASC) is a non-profit
independent industry trade association that works cooperatively with
state, federal and international regulatory agencies to addresses the
needs of the animal health and nutritional supplement industry.
2. W
hat does the NASC do?
The NASC works with supplement providers, manufacturers and
ingredient suppliers to help verify that a comprehensive system
of quality and vigilance is maintained for health supplements and
ingredients for animals. This process includes third-party quality
assurance programs. If you see an NASC quality seal, you can be
assured that the ingredients you are putting into your product are high
quality for pets and horses.

oes DSHEA Apply to Animals?
No. When the Dietary Supplement Health Education Act (DSHEA) was
passed in 1994 language was not included covering animal products. In
1996 the Food and Drug Administration, Center for Veterinary Medicine
(FDA-CVM) published a notice in the Federal Register indicating that
DSHEA was not intended to apply to animals.
4. What is AAFCO?
Association of American Feed Control Officials (AAFCO) is a non-forprofit private association that works together with the FDA-CVM to
ensure animal food is safe, effective, and properly labeled.
5. Do animal health supplements require AAFCO approval?
No. AAFCO is not a regulatory body, however they do recommend
regulatory policy and work closely with the FDA-CVM involving all feed
/ food for animals.
6. What is animal feed?
Nutritive substances intended to provide the adequate dietary
concentrations of macronutrients and micronutrients are considered
animal feed and must be AAFCO approved or by one of the other pathways
available for ingredients to be approved for use in animal food.
