Each box top is worth 10 cents. PTA Meeting Notes Secretary’s Report – o June 7– Field Day June 9– Promotion Day/Last Day of School. Teacher’s Report – o August 17– School Resumes The minutes from the April 21, 2016 meeting were summarized. Heidi made a motion to approve, Nicole seconded. Approved. The auction was awesome, thank you. Principal’s Report – o o o o o o o o o o o o o o o o o Thanks for all the help with the auction. SBAC testing is done. City track meet was a success. Thanks to Ms. Tronvig and Mr. Brian. Over 100 Roosevelt students participated. Volunteer breakfast was this morning. Open jobs for next year: Composting, SSC, Lost and Found, Sound equipment set up May 19 early dismissal Last day of school dismissal will be 12:20 Beginning Tuesday May 31 all K-5 students will get out at 1:50. Jaime would appreciate any ideas, new things. Will survey teachers. Yearbook – o Yearbook – sales were 54 online and 133 in office. Purchased 31 for staff and 8 for “charity” purposes. Purchased 100 extra to sell. Will reopen yearbook sales for those 100. Others can still order but will not have by end of year. Thank you Jenny and Jaime! Fundraising– o Maria was not in attendance so no report was given. Mixed Bag did go out. Auction – o Still waiting to close a few items. o 252 guests o Rough estimate is $35,000. o Bancroft rough estimate is between $5,000-$7,000. o There are still some items left for sale. Treasurer’s Report – o Ending Balance $61,982.76. o Need to increase line item for yearbook because production cost is higher than anticipated. Increased by $1,500.00 to $6,000.00. Should pay for itself. Jaime made a motion to increase the line item to $6,000, Nicole seconded. Approved. o Ratified April checks 4286-4299. Heidi made a motion to ratify check, Lisa seconded. Approved. Vacant Positions – o T shirt sales – to sell after school and at the fall festival (we have someone to do designs) o Walk and Roll – 3 event per year including Golden Sneaker – need to send out flyer, advertise. Nicole can help guide new person. Next Years Budget – o Ms. Dillworth is leaving. What now? Need to discuss with staff what they would like to see happen to computer lab? What would be best use of money we spend towards that position? We exceeded our sales goal making an incredible $8505 net! With this fundraiser we were able to raise $1000 for our PTA, while continuing to provide books & educational materials to our classrooms, with an additional $3,138 in Scholastic profits, a 48.6% combined profit! Thank you to our Principal, Dr. Sablo-Sutton, who is arranging a Lunchtime Treat for the entire school, since we exceeded our goal! Details to come! We have also provided Jefferson Elementary School with $192 in books for their library through All for Books™! Thank you for your donations, every penny helped! Scholastic will further match our donations, $1 for 1 book, donating to their favorite charities! Your Teachers thank you for your generous donations!
