Introduction
Dear Reader:
Whether you are new to Palm Beach County or have lived here for
many years, Living Well: The Essential Guide to Senior Services in Palm
Beach County is an indispensible guide to senior services in the area.
The Jewish Women’s Foundation of the Greater Palm Beaches, the
Jewish Federation of Palm Beach County and the Jewish Federation of
South Palm Beach County saw a need within the community: a single
resource for seniors – and those who care for them – to access services
specifically for them. This guide assures that area residents have access
to information that addresses their growing needs for services and support.
Whatever the need – from homecare to financial services, caregiver
support, adult day care, veteran’s assistance and hurricane preparedness
– Living Well contains 33 service category listings to help the county’s
300,000 seniors find the help they need from the organizations and
agencies that provide them.
Our organizations are committed to ensuring that our seniors have
access to services that will help them live with dignity, enjoy what the
greater Palm Beaches has to offer and stay connected to their neighbors
and community.
A website has been created as a companion to this guide to
provide the most updated information on the area’s senior services.
Visit www.livingwellpbc.info for more information.
We hope the publication will help you navigate the Palm Beach County
senior services landscape quickly, easily and effectively.
Sincerely,
Gloria Fine and Edith Gelfand

Service Categories and Listings
There are two main sections in the Living Well guide:
1) Categories of Services with Individual Listings
For each service category there is an alphabetical listing of organizations and
agencies that provide service in Palm Beach County. A telephone number is
provided (and sometimes TDD or TTY numbers for hearing- impaired callers),
as well as a page reference for more detailed information (in the next section)
about the organization or agency.
A new way of giving…women helping women.
2) Individual Listings with Detailed Information
In this section, detailed information is provided for the organizations and
agencies, listed alphabetically, that provide senior services in Palm Beach
County. Addresses, telephone numbers and website addresses are provided
where possible. It is always advisable to contact a service provider to learn
additional details about its services, such as hours and days of operation,
fees, eligibility requirements, transportation options and location.

Palm Beaches (JWF) was

and girls through funding
women-centered social change initiatives.
While the geographic scope for this guide is Palm Beach County, some
organizations and agencies may only provide services to residents of specific
municipalities or regions of the county. Where that is known, a residency
requirement is indicated in the detailed information about the service provider.
While the Jewish organizations and agencies that provide senior services
(or specifically Jewish services) are highlighted, this guide is intended to
benefit and be used by all seniors residing in Palm Beach County, their
families and caregivers.
By design, most of the providers of senior services listed in this guide are
public (governmental) and private, not-for-profit organizations and agencies.
Only in a few instances are for-profit providers listed, specifically in cases
where they provide critical health care (such as hospitals and hospices) or Glatt
kosher services (such as skilled nursing facilities). All faith-based, not-for-profit
organizations listed in this guide provide non-sectarian services.
Our strategic social change grant-making
has benefited organizations in Palm Beach County,
Israel and the former Soviet Union, enabling them
to implement programs that change behaviors,
attitudes
and
practices
surrounding
issues
impacting the lives of Jewish girls and women.
Join us as a trustee; let your voice be heard
in determining the direction of our grant process.
Contact the JWF Director at 561-242-6673.
Notes are included when for-profit (or other unlisted) providers are
among the choices available to seniors for specific services, including how
to obtain referrals.
In some cases, the name of a specific program is used instead of the name
of the organization when the service or program is more commonly known.
All telephone numbers with an area code beginning with “8” are toll-free
and, if using a cell phone, “1” need not precede dialing.
In some instances, a program or service is provided exclusively online through
the Internet and a website address is the only contact information provided.
An alphabetical index of advertisers is provided in the back of the guide.

The truth is most investors’ portfolios did not handle the
past years’ market volatility well. A more alarming truth is
that most plans have not been changed to mitigate future

We have helped many investors with an honest assessment
of their current portfolio and plan. May we help you?
