bowood house
Bowood has been home to the Lansdowne family
since 1754. The mix of historical treasures and
well-loved surroundings gives this Georgian house
a unique charm.
The Lansdowne family has spent over 250 years
collecting art and historical memorabilia. Among many
unique items around the house you will find Queen
Victoria’s wedding chair, the Keith Jewellery
collection and Napoleon’s death mask. Visitors can
visit the laboratory were Dr Joseph Priestly discovered
oxygen gas, the library with 5000 leather-bound
volumes and the chapel which is still used for family
services to this day.

tractor ted’s little farm
New for 2013 is children’s
favourite Tractor Ted and his
Little Farm. Lots to enjoy inside
and out. Children can play on
Tractor Ted beside Ted’s Barn
where they can meet friendly
farm animals and handle rabbits,
guinea pigs, and hens.
In the barn see real chicks hatching, enjoy lots of farm
games and watch Tractor Ted’s real action farming
films. Outside children can ride around the mini
tractor track, play ball scooping in the mini digger
den and on special occasions see some really big modern
farm machines.Young children love it and learn lots.
