BUTTERFLY
The ‘Outlinearray’ System is yet another extremely
important technical goal achieved by Outline thirty
years from the company’s foundation. Thanks to
its features, four international patents have been
applied for. Designed and constructed without

cutting any corners to save on costs, Butterfly
has optimized all the acoustic and operating
parameters of a vertical line array, with the precise
aim of achieving state of the art performance.

the cabinet has an unmistakable shape (the only one among current line array systems
covered by an international patent). Three-section element/enclosure designed for
biamping with four high-efficiency 8” mid woofers: two band-pass loaded (110÷400Hz)
and two reflex high-pass (110÷1250Hz) and a 3” (1.41” throat) compression driver coupled
with a D.P.R.W.G. device.

Butterfly system’s low frequency element. It weighs just 45.8 kg. and its dimensions are
the same as two C.D.H. 483 Hi-Packs one above the other. It’s equipped with a 18” woofer
for front emission and a 15” woofer inside the box, used to recreate the system’s Cardioid
or Hypercardioid dispersion. The two loudspeakers need two separate amps.

MANTAS
Mantas is the latest line array designed in the 2009
by the R&D department of Outline.
Based on the long experience achieved by Butterfly
in the last 6 years, it offers amazing performances
in a very small and lightweight cabinet.
Mantas is fit by a pair of very low distortion 8” midwoofers and by one 3” compression driver coupled
to a D.P.R.W.G. derived wave guide which horizontal
pattern dispersion is 120°.
The footprint of the rigging hardware of Mantas is
the same as Butterfly and therefore it can be rigged
underneath Butterfly to be used as down fill, thanks to its wider horizontal pattern.
The mainframe is compatible to Butterfly and it allows to rig more than 32 boxes and can be groundstacked.

Ultra-compact and a close relative of the COM.P.A.S.S. - the first-ever robotized loudspeaker enclosure and
winner of the prestigious Award for Product Innovation at London’s Plasa Show - Mini-COM.P.A.S.S. is a selfpowered loudspeaker system (equipped with Outline’s i-Mode Technology) for stand-alone use or combined

KANGURO NET SYSTEM
Medium-power short-throw self-powered loudspeaker system with VARIABLE ENCLOSURE VOLUME.
The Kanguro system is made up of a satellite and a subwoofer. The subwoofer contains the satellite when the system’s not being
used: total volume 0.13 m3. Fundamental patented design in Italy (N° 01303453) and in the most important countries in the world;
design Excellence award received at London’s PLASA expo in 2001. Kanguro is PC controllable via Ethernet port. An intuitive
software allows countless complex operations to be carried out and is supplied as standard with every Kanguro system.
Four presets available (one of which is a factory-set default configuration), which can be recalled from the rear panel of the sub.

RIGGING SYSTEM
Outline’s “Unifly” is a universal modular flying system
for loudspeaker clusters which allows groups of enclosures of any type and brand to be flown to permanent or mobile structures. The Unifly system, with
all its components and accessories, has been tested
with load and breaking tests and is supplied with the
relative certificates and reports.
The main component of the Unifly system is a steel
bar with a rectangular cross-section, available in two
lengths, at both end of which there are two bushes,
whose positions are inverted in relation to each other,
enabling several modules to be linked. the bars are
joined by a kit supplied as standard with each bar.
“Truss end” kit must be used to close one end of a
bar. The Unifly 55 bar is also equipped with a central
hole in which a third pin can be mounted and used
either as a third upper flying point, or as a bottom flying point for the enclosures (for example the rear one
to incline them on the vertical plane).
Precise adjustment of the angle between two bars is
very easy and extremely precise, with the goniometer
printed on each bush and an exclusive ball movement
system which divides movement into inclination steps
of 7.5°. accessories supplied as standard with each
module enable it to be linked to the next one.

another Unifly 27 or Unifly 55, the UF-P set must be used.

To be used at each end of the Unifly bar, while not closed (i.e. rectangular
structures). A UF-p will be used for each UF-S.

Connecting bolt comprising: Outline V338 steel pin, 3 M20 h 16 mm nuts, 2 21
mm diam. (int.) 5mm thick spring washers, 1 21 mm diam. (int.) 3.5 mm. thick
washer. If used at the end of a Unifly bar must be used with UF-S termination
bush (see above).

Female eye-bolt M20 (DIN 582). Used to terminate the upper part of the Outline
V338 pin and thus have a direct flying point whether the “Shackle Mount” accessory is not available.

Sliding Outline hook. Fitted at the centre of a bar made up of several Unifly
modules. Gives a sliding flying point for easily finding the Cluster’s centre of
gravity.
