Its dynamic learning environment paired with caring educators prepares students to be effective leaders, moral and ethical citizens, and life-long learners. The school strives to lead students to the Truth which will provide them with an intellectual and moral anchor for life. It is the school’s goal to equip the whole student, helping them to acquire the knowledge, discernment, and ability to dynamically impact the world. The Taipei campus offers classes from kindergarten through ninth grade. The Kaohsiung* and Taichung campuses offer classes from kindergarten through twelfth grade. The Taichung campus also has a quality boarding program which provides a home-like atmosphere. M In order to foster an excellent learning environment, the school is supported by extensive libraries, Mandarin language labs, and integrated technology systems, such as interactive white boards and student response systems. Each campus is well-equipped to provide a well-rounded learning experience for each student. *By the 2015-2016 school year, there will be a class for each grade K-12 level. S 7 • Academics • Morrison Academy As an international school in a Mandarin-speaking country, Morrison is poised to provide various academic opportunities. Morrison offers Mandarin as a foreign language at every grade level. Also, students have opportunities to take part in academic exchanges with other international schools in mathematics competitions, spelling bees, debates, the World Scholar’s Cup, and the Model United Nations. While fostering each student’s curiosity, teachers strive to integrate the best educational practices to help students achieve optimum levels of learning. The classroom is a place for students to learn, explore, and be challenged as they develop spiritually, mentally, emotionally, and physically. Our middle school staff actively assists students as they build their personal identities and transition into high school. The intentional integration of service learning projects into school life provides opportunities for each student to develop a heart of compassion and a lifestyle of service. Visual Arts instruction is offered at every grade level, allowing students to develop their musical and artistic talents and abilities. As students mature, they have opportunities to become involved in media and publishing, including video production, photography, web design, journalism and yearbook production. The interscholastic middle school sports include volleyball, softball, soccer, and basketball for both boys and girls. The high school soccer, volleyball, basketball, swim, and track teams compete against schools both in Taiwan and in regional tournaments in Asia.
