sions within the Niassa Reserve. The Inter-Maputo Football School is held on Saturdays at the American International School from 8.00-11.00. The training give boys and girls aged
between five and sixteen years-old a chance to get active, make new friends,
have fun and learn to play the Inter-Maputo way!
The Game Plan — Football skills coaching by qualified coaches featuring:
• Warm-ups and reaction games
• Technique training sessions: passing, dribbling, shooting, attacking and defending
• Fun games to practice techniques - Small-sided matches and tournaments
• Practice is at 8:00 - 9:15 for Juniors (ages 6-10) and 9:30 - 11:00 for Intermediates/

NEW CANDIDATE FOR MAYOR OF MAPUTO: (Maputo, 24 Aug AIM) – “Mozambique’s ruling Frelimo Party on Friday declined to
offer a further term of office to its most successful municipal politician, the current Mayor of Maputo, Eneas Comiche. The Frelimo
Maputo City Committee met all day to decide on the candidates for mayor and municipal assembly in the 19 November local elections. When the results were announced on Friday night it was clear that not only had Comiche’s bid for a second term as mayor
been rejected, but that he had suffered a crushing defeat at the hands of his main rival, the Minister of Youth and Sport, David Simango.
Simango won the Frelimo nomination with 53 votes (67 per cent) to only 25 votes for Comiche.. A third candidate, Generosa Cossa,
the current chairperson of the municipal assembly, only picked up one vote. The City Committee also elected 66 candidates for
membership of the new Municipal Assembly”.
