how to configure an e2/e2e for direct connection with ultrasite

HOW TO CONFIGURE AN E2/E2E FOR DIRECT CONNECTION
WITH ULTRASITE
1.) Connect your laptop to an E2 / E2e controller’s Ethernet port using a Cat5 crossover
cable. Below is the information for crossover cable.
2.) Get IP address from the controller.
 Press and hold button then press letter  to go to TCP/IP
 or press , , , then tab over to TCP/IP.
Take note of IP
address, Subnet mask
and default gateway

3.) Set-up IP address in your computer. (Using Windows 7)

Select “Use the following IP address”. Type the IP address that the computer will use.
Note: Computer’s IP
address should not be the
same with the controller’s
IP.
3a.) Set-up IP address in your computer. (Using Windows XP)
 Click Start
 Click control panel

Select network connections


Right click on Local area network2
Click on properties

Under advanced tab, select internet protocol (TCP/IP)
Click on properties



Select “Use the following IP address”
Type in the IP address, subnet mask and default gateway.
Click ok

4.) Configuring Controller to the Ultrasite.
 Lunch your ultrasite 32.
 Enter user name (user) and password (pass). Press Ok
 Right click on the name ultrasite then scroll down and click Add Directory.

Right click on the directory then click add site.

CONNECTING TO THE CONTROLLER
 Right click on the created site
 Scroll down and click on connect.

Once connected, expand the site/ right click on the controller/ scroll down and click
on the terminal mode.

It will bring you up the screen of the connected controller.
