One of the best selling shapes in the industry for
2007 is being delivered to you again in 2008. The
numerous features of this deck remain the same as
last year as it is unheard of to create a shape that rides
well for a world champ, as well as a weekend wally.
We did tweak the flex a tad to find that happy spot
between smooth release and a buck off the wake.
After Andrew tested several, he feels like we’ve nailed
it and provided a deck that has everything he wants
but also rides well for others. Andrew won the WWA
World Championships on this shape….again.

The Transcend boasts industry first fin extensions. This allows the rider to fine
tune their edge. Instead of drastically changing the way the board rides by
removing the fins, this simply changes the edge and release characteristics.
Riding it without the extensions gives you a soft edge and an early release
from the top of the wake. Adding the extensions gives you a stronger edge
and a locked in bite up the wake. The extensions are great for rough water
conditions and riders who are not yet comfortable with their edge. Boasting a
deep spine for softening up the landings, channels carved into the tip and tail
to add a bit of bite, and extensive top shaping to trim weight and add stiffness.
The Transcend has always been a finicky shape reserved for those who are
comfortable with their edge and enjoy the hardest wake to wake buck out there.
This new generation made it a far more friendly shape opening the door to the
intermediate rider to progress as well.

Just when you thought it couldn’t get any better...
Trevor Marius Hansen and Doug Cannon again went
into the shaping room to create the next design to
carry the name Marius. With the huge success of
Trevor’s last board and a worldwide love for the way
all know that stiffness creates snap off the wake,
so Trevor and Doug added even more with the
new top shape design. Marius co-designer Doug
Cannon says, “Our pro level decks for 2007 had X
Flex technology, which added stiffness to the tip
and tail. The feedback on the new flex patterns
was huge, so for 2008 we took that technology
and added ridges to the top of Trevor’s new
shape to make that tip and tail snap even more.
We were then able to thin out the tip and tail,
trimming weight back even further.”

The molded fins were sharpened and moved towards the center of the board to get
a bit more bite on edge, giving the Marius a buttery ride, but the ability to lock in
on a hard edge. Even with these changes, riding the Marius without the center fin
is reserved for those who are very comfortable with their edging. The fin box has
been removed and an additional two channels added to give that extra bite while
maintaining speed. For such a huge amount of surface area, the new Marius is the
fastest board in the quiver of CWB shapes. The feedback has been huge. Trevor has
a relaxed style of riding and some think he coasts into the wake. When you can coast
into the wake, and float a method eight feet high and into the flats, something with
your board is right.

KINK
A huge part of the wake market is the package
program. With the innovation of the product growing
leaps and bounds yearly, it makes sense for a rider to
snatch up a new deck and boots every season. With
this in mind, we have created packages that cater to
every riding style as well as every budget. The Kink
board hits the market for the aggressive rider. It is
a stiff shape that turns fast and reacts quick off the
wake. Boasting long based molded fins as well as a
small fin for extra bite on edge, the Kink when paired
with the Faction and Vapor boot, is a money package
for a beginner through advanced rider. A center
spine, a mellow three stage rocker line, and a thinned
tip and tail will deliver a ride that will carry your
riding wherever you want it.
The Pure with Torq boots was the best selling package in the industry
last season. Not only is it an amazing shape, packaged with the
industry shattering Hinge boots, and rocking a killer graphic but the
price of the package will make you ask “are you sure?” We all know
what the Torq’s will do for you. A boot that all of your friends can share,
they can swim in and out of them with ease, and they look killer. Now
partner those with a shape that was formed around a past Absolute
which we all know is rad. So we now have a shape paired with boots…
both of which rock. A great board for the beginner and intermediate,
the Pure is a softer board allowing for a bit of a mellower ride. Tracks
well, edges easy, and pops consistent thanks to the three basics that
every board in this genre needs. Large molded fins, a deep bolt on fin,
and long channels for extra tracking. The Pure gets the tri-fecta and
will give you that perfect ride.

FACTION
The Faction movement was formed last year when a couple reps had
some riders that made a difference in their territories. It was built
around those riders who do everything it takes and whatever it takes
to get their next set. Eating, sleeping, and breathing take a back seat
to everything wake. The Faction brand is no longer just a board and
boots, but clothing, handles and now a shape targeted to the smaller
rider. The guys wanted a board that was a different ride, something
they could take to the cable or rail park and still have something they
could hit a solid double up, or pull a back five off the wake. It is a free
shape with very little going on with the bottom. When something
was designed, prototypes were shipped to ten riders from pro’s to shop
employees. Feedback was then pooled, and out came the Faction board.
A continuous rocker line, very small molded fins, and subtle rails create
a shape that glides across the water effortlessly. A four-fin speedster
that gives you two boards in one, a wake killer as well as a free shape
for pressing in the flats. Get to your local shop and check out the top
dressing. Using a fabric material and a metal stamp, this is a board that

Attention ladies that rip! We introduced the Sapphire last season as demand
for a high end shape for ladies grew year after year. This season is no
different. We carry forward the Sapphire as well and have created a new
larger size to compliment the complete Diamond collection of products for
the women. The Sapphire board combined with the new Tiffany boots will
hand you a package that not only performs like a pro level deck, but looks
stunning too. The new heart breaker pattern used throughout the Diamond
collection screams style. The Sapphire board uses two long based molded fins
and a bolt on fin to compliment the ride. We have also thrown a center spine
down the middle to break up those landings when the ladies are cruising
their moves into the flats like the Hoffman sisters. We also added some extra
glass to stiffen up the ride, shaped in a cupped rail for edging, and trimmed
some thickness out of the tip and tail. What was created has been called “the

As we all know, the board and boot packages are where it’s at. This year
we are able to bring you a Hinge package at a price that opens the door to
all riders. The Faze shape boasts a few features that are used in some of
the higher end packages but maintains a soft flex and a large bolt on fin to
create a true ride that tracks straight to teach the rider the basics. The Seven
boots that come with the Faze are the entry-level Hinge boot that brings the
ease of entry to the masses. Using a floating tongue for fit, a lace system
to allow for the different size feet, and the hinge, the Seven boot is sure to
impress on the water, and in the wallet.
Attention kids, time to rip. We have built these two
shapes to take that little rider to the podium. Both are
aggressive shapes with molded fins, stiff rides, and a
rocker line that will throw them to the moon. Most kids
shapes are mellow and designed to learn and stop there.
We have designed ours to carry the rider further. We use
a similar flex to that of our intermediate packages. We
use edge fins so when on edge, they stay on edge and
carry the speed to the wake. We then added some top
shaping to add more stiffness and trim weight. What we
came up with was the Surge and Charger. Hitting the
kids market in two sizes to keep it simple but also provide
every possible need to those riders. No need to offer a
truckload of sizes. We deliver those that matter.

Move over bacon…The Deck was released late last
season to rave reviews. A skate that remains in the
“bargain” category, however, has the features of a
higher end skate. We dished out the top deck to
add the true skate deck feel, but instead of creating
that top deck out of wood, we molded a piece of
high density foam into the shape of a skate deck and
attached it to the skate so to give the true feel of a
skateboard. The great feature is you have the feel of
foam when you meet it face to face on a fall.

BOOT TECH
Some thought we would sit back and rest on our industry shattering idea brought
to fruition tabbed Hinge Tech (patent # 7,134,928 B1). It was the biggest and best
innovation to hit the sport. Period. The biggest downside to wakeboarding has
always been getting in and out of your boots. Hinge Tech has changed that. Now, not
only is getting in and out of your boots far easier, but boot wear and tear is almost
non-existent. Gone are the days of fighting your boots on and off and no more heel
lift. Now most of you know what the Hinge Tech is all about. Feet in, hinge up, high
fives. For 2008, we continued with the beginner friendly Hinge Tech on the low end
and introduce Switch Hinge on the high end for zero heel lift. Push the lever down on
the high end instead of pulling it up. The new 6-Plate features a smaller footprint on
the board and drastically reduces the weight of the boot. Taking 25% of the footprint
out of the baseplate allows for a far stiffer plate while trimming the weight. Going
from an eight inch pattern to six also allows for the new boots to still fit on older
boards. The 6-Plates also feature a thinned out and completely covered heel cup
for a cleaner appearance. We also eliminated the middle man by making the heel
piece one solid unit rather than the traditional heel rubber covered by a wrap. This
adds comfort, performance and trims even more weight. To provide the cleanest
look possible, we created three closed toe boots for those who are into looking
right. The closed toe phenomena can now be looked at from a Hinge Tech point of
view. The Zeus, Answer and Tiffany are all using Switch Hinge and the 6-Plate for
‘08. Now you can rock the closed toe boots for those chilly winter sesh’s. You have
heard the buzz. Now try Hinge and see how it makes your ride effortless.

This plate is used for the entry level - intermediate boots in
the line. The Seven, Bliss, Torq, Vapor, and Sage. It allows
for the easiest entry and exit around as well as an upward
movement of the Hinge making the lock in process easy.
This is the plate that started the C-dub boot revolution.
The next generation is here. We were able to narrow
the traditional eight inch plate and narrow it to a
higher performance six inch plate. What this does
is remove a bunch of weight, but more importantly
give more of a full plate hold down on the board.
When you rock forward and back, the board moves
with you as does the board now more than ever. To
top it off, the hinge has been changed to the Switch
Hinge. Simply push the lever down for zero heel lift.
For those who want to ride wide but don’t want to
drop the cash on a fresh 08 deck, the 6 Plate mounts
to older boards just fine with the included adapter.

ZEUS
The most supportive, tallest, stiffest, and strongest holding
boot in the line. The Zeus has been around for years and
has always been the boot that gets the bells and whistles.
For 2008 we wanted to deliver a boot line that caters to all
riding styles and left the Zeus for those who like a high wrap
that holds you down like a snowboard boot. Many riders like
