This design was inspired by a friend of MKT as an homage to his grandfather…a Brigadier General in the United States Marine
Corps. This knife is a wicked design with clean lines and rugged simplicity. The blade is hand Flat-ground and embodies the very
best of American pragmatism and the rugged individualism of creative honest design. The composition of this knife is amazing
in balance with the similar stock thicknesses in both blade and handle. The hardened back-strap breaker adds unsurpassed
strength and utility to the overall balance of the design.

MARAUDER TANTO
The Marauder is a mean design that utilizes the awesome tip strength of the Flat-Grind and the tried and true performance of
a Hollow-Ground main cutting edge. This Combo ground knife has a function driven form that is unique in the Knife world. The
clean lines of the knife are self-evident and in this case, less is more. Note the curved Fuller-groove that doubles to not only
lighten the forward weight of the design but also as a sneaky thumb-slide groove for opening. The sides are .187” Titanium
and The blade is .260” thick. This design gets its name from the B-26 Marauder of WW II repute. The Marauder was known for

The Marauder drop point adapts the awesome design to a more traditional American blade style that has been loved from the
times of Jim Bowie and Davey Crocket to the military deployments of the last decade. The drop point style lacks some of the
tanto style’s tip strength for improvisational prying use but makes up for it in ease of sharpening and overall contiguous large
cutting edge.

The TFF-1 is the ultimate ambidextrous tactical folder. We developed this knife for military & law enforcement personnel. This
design circumvents fixed-blade restrictions and accommodates tactical operators looking for a space-saving knife carry option.
This blade is meant to augment or replace a fixed blade and is built for hard use. As with all of the War Fighter Series knives, the
non-lock side can either be G10 or Titanium with a Ti locking side. All models have D2 blades and a one-hand deploy, HEAVY liner
lock design. The blade is meant to be two-hand stowed and unintentional retraction of the blade is nearly impossible.

A no goofin’ around, straight forward design with only subtle ergonomic adaptations for modern hard use. The edge is wedge
ground for optimum small branch clearing and heavy field use. The main grind angle is optimized for the S7 steel the tool is
made from in an effort to balance edge strength and depth of cut properties. The flat backed head is perfect for improvisational

CROWN OF THORN & GRENUCKLES
The Crown of Thorn is the ultimate novelty key-chain fob or CQB “space maker” when you get jammed-up in close quarters. The design is pretty self-explanatory
but suffice it to say, the fingers sit comfortably into the tool and the ‘Thorn’ comes in 2 grind configurations: symmetrical spear-style and an asymmetrical wedgeground style. While both grinds adapt well to any use, the wedge grind is the only choice for loose carry in a bag since it has 3 sharp edges as opposed to a singular
high point.

and function. The 1/2” wrench in the handle will fit nearly any scope ring mounts on Earth, the hilt screwdriver fits turret
adjustments, measuring marks on the spine are extremely convenient for both Scouting and Sniper uses and the LTRE (Look

METALLURGY
We have done our homework. We have set our egos
and market mythology to the side in choosing our
knife materials. Don’t be duped by ads, stories and
forums. We believe that modern D2 is the best bang
for the buck in high-end knives. It can do almost
everything as well as almost everyone needs.
For mandatory true stainless specs we use S35VN,
as it is outstanding at everything knives must do.
When ultimate strength is required, with no care
for corrosion, we use CPM 3V. For any given tool
a variety of steels will often suffice. Many steel
choices can be adequate and a very few are ideal.
Interestingly, “ideal” is often nuanced and as much
opinion as fact. Knives need the proper blend of
hardness, toughness, and abrasion resistance.
These three traits are like a 3 position teeter totter.
Greatly increase any and the others pay the price.
There is NOTHING free in knife making. Amazing
hardness gets you a blade that tends to be brittle
and may ultimately be un-sharpenable by the end
user. Stain resistance may preclude great hardness
and ultimate toughness may sacrifice corrosion
resistance such as with 3V.
There is no “best” steel for knives.
There are mostly gimmicks out there but a few
basic principles can determine which steel might be
ideal for your knife.
What is the intended use of the knife?
In what environment are you most likely to use the
knife?
If there is a steel trait concern such as corrosion
resistance, can it be addressed by an additional
manufacturing process, such as coating?
How hard do you really use your knives?
How much are you willing to pay?
The older, more rust prone steels like O-1, A-2, and
1095 make great knives, are very cost efficient,
but require maintenance and will absolutely rust
without attention. In the land warfare or land
sporting category, all but the most schooled users
can’t tell the difference in their performance
from steels five times as expensive. Many times
these days with performance coatings the great
weaknesses of the more rust prone steels can be all
but erased.
D-2, ATS-34, CPM 154 are all reasonably priced
and perform well in the cross-over world of “really
good at everything, but not the best at anything.”
D-2 is a nearly stainless high carbon steel that
microscopically makes a spectacular edge and is
very cost efficient. For glitzy polish knives it just
plain stinks though. The same chromium carbides
that give it a wicked edge and stain resistance also
make it “orange peel” when polished. ATS34 and
CPM154 polish extremely well, are stain resistant
and hold up very well in general hunting and pocket
knife applications.
3V, CPM S30V, and CPM S35VN are all extremely
expensive and perform as follows:
3V rivals M7 for toughness, but is corrosion
prone, S30V and S35VN are technically different
steels but I challenge any person on earth the tell
the difference in the final product. S30V was a
response to 3V, to improve stain resistance, and
S35VN is a response to S30V, to improve machining
and grinding characteristics. Overall S35VN has an
unsurpassed combination of hardness, toughness,
and abrasion/stain resistance, but is exceedingly
expensive.
