Distinguished Merits
2010 - 2011 Siamese Grands
Perhaps the most coveted title a cat can be awarded in CFA is that of
Distinguished Merit. Often called the "Breeder's" title, the DM
represents how well a cat has contributed to the next generation of its
breed... and it is the recognition of this impact on future generations
that makes this award such a special accomplishment.

The Harriet Little Awards
For Best Chocolate Point & Best Lilac Point in Championship
Award Presented by Nick and Deb Spencer
Harriett Little, Lilliput Cattery, was a well-respected Siamese breeder for
36 years before retiring and in 2001 lost her battle with cancer. Harriett
was the first Siamese Breed Council Secretary to be elected by the Breed
Council and was the first recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award in
1996. The Harriett Little Award is to honor Harriett’s contribution and
commitment to the Siamese Breed. Nick and Deb Spencer give the award
in her memory to the Best Chocolate Point and Best Lilac Point

The GP, NW CherMa’Ki’s Ariel Award
Honoring CFA’S Best Siamese in Premiership
Award Presented by Cheryl Matteo-Kerney
Established in 2009, this award honors GP, NW CHERMA’KI’S ARIEL,
CFA’S 25th Best Cat, Best Siamese in Premiership, & Southern Region’s
5TH Best Cat in 2007-2008. Ariel debuted at the National Siamese
Alliance Show as a One Show Grand & Best Siamese in Show. Ariel has
the distinction of being part of an elite group of only 5 Blue Point
Siamese males in CFA’S 106 year history to achieve a National Win in
Premiership. Not since the 1994-1995 Show Season, over 14 yrs. prior,
had a Blue Point male achieved a NW in Premiership---and not since Ariel
has a Blue Point male achieved this success. Ariel has extreme length,
refinement, dramatic ear set & midnight blue eyes. His namesake is
Archangel Ariel. Ariel shares success with his exquisite seal point sister,
GC, RW CHERMA’KI’S PRINCESS, CFA’S 3rd Best Siamese, 26th Highest
Scoring Cat, & Southern Region’s 6th Best Cat in 2007-2008. With only 2
shows this season, Princess, age 6 in August, is the Southern Region’s
Best Seal Point Siamese. Ariel & Princess are sired by GC, RW
CHERMA’KI’S MICHELANGELO, One Show Grand, National 2nd Best
Siamese, National Best Blue Point, & Southern Region’s 14TH Best Cat &

Ariel’s breeders/owners, Cheryl Matteo-Kerney, Darren & Noah Kerney
present this award to CFA’S Best Siamese in Premiership, GP, NW
PharoahsGems Natasha of Seasweep a breathtakingly beautiful Blue
Point female, proudly shown by Elizabeth L. Jennings. Congratulations to
Natasha and for an incredible show season!!!
GC, RW Ayuthaya Amoroso of Thaifong, DM Award
For Best Siamese Kitten
Award Presented by Susan Perkins
In honor of GC, RW Ayuthaya Amoroso of Thaifong, DM, who was
highest scoring Siamese kitten in 2002 and second best of breed in
championship in 2003 and his many winning descendents, three have
been best of breed kitten winners. This award is presented to the highest
scoring Siamese kitten as we feel kittens are the Siamese future ... our
dream, inspiration and vision. For the love of Siamese!
The Jeanne Singer Award
For Best Siamese in Championship
Award Presented by Siamese Alliance of America
Few people have had such a lasting impact on the Siamese as Jeanne
Singer of Singa cattery. Jeanne wrote our current standard which has
been modified only a few times since its adoption in 1967. She also
wrote "What is a Standard?", an essay so good that CFA adopted it as
the preface to all breed standards. In the preface Jeanne wrote, "If
the various parts of a cat are harmoniously balanced and complement
each other well, the whole will be greater than the sum of its parts.
The total will be a beautiful cat." Jeanne’s vision of harmony lives on
not just in the standard, but in the many pedigrees of today that
include the Singa line. In 1998, the Siamese Breed Council awarded
Jeanne our highest honor, the Lifetime Achievement Award. Siamese
Alliance of America is pleased to present the Jeanne Singer Award to
GC, BW, NW San-Toi's Timbuctoo.
The GP, RW Geishagoll Wondrous Heart Award
For Best Lilac Point in Premiership
Award presented by Liz Jennings
The Wondrous Heart award is presented to the highest scoring lilac
point in premiership in honor of GP, RW Geishagoll Wondrous Heart.
"Wonder," a dearly loved heart kitty, is truly a once in a lifetime cat.
He granded in one show with 96 points. It is his beautiful head and
amazing expression that first captivated me, but when stretched, he
is three feet long. To this day, at over nine years old, there is not an
ounce of shading on his snow white coat.
In 2004, Wonder earned a Regional Win and Best Siamese Nationally
in Premiership with six months of showing. In 2005, he remained in
the top 25 National Premiership standings the entire year, falling out
the last weekend of the show season and just missing a National Win.
In later years, Wonder secured a top 10 National Siamese win with
just a handful of shows.
This year the award will be given to Wonder's great nephew, GP, RW
Geishagoll Polaris of Seasweep, marking the first time a Wonder
relative has received the award.

It was the perfect, incredible journey
with a story book ending .It is the last
ring of the last day of the last show of
the season and Natasha needs one
more final to move back into 25th for
the National Premiership standings.
Ironically, it was seven years ago to
this day that my lilac point boy, GP,
RW Geishagoll Wondrous Heart (aka
"Wonder") fell out of the top 25 National standings. And here, in this
final ring, stands Wonder's very favorite judge, Ellyn Honey. I now
believe it was meant to come down to this last ring, as it was only
fitting and most special for Ellyn to award Natasha the final points that
she needed for her National Win.
It was late fall, 2010 when I was offered a little blue point girl named
Lotus. This kitten was related to my treasured heart kitty, GP
Geishagoll Gillian, a beautiful blue point girl whom I recently lost and
Gillian’s dad, GP, RW Geishagoll Wild Blue Yonder, was in Natasha's
pedigree. After seeing photos and some lengthy discussions, I
maintained a very special feeling about this new kitten. I finally asked
the date she was born. It was September 1st - the day after I lost
Gillian, at that moment, I knew I was meant to be her “mom.”
I was scheduled to pick up Natasha on Christmas Eve, thus her new
name. Natasha means “Child of Christmas.” There was no adjustment
period at all, it was as if Natasha had always lived with us. Her likeness
to Gillian was uncanny; she chewed on my necklace, played with the
brim of my baseball caps, loved to eat sandwiches (bread and all!) and
relished anything with real fur - all traits of Gillian. I fell in love with her
immediately, and she quickly became my heart.
Natasha is the first Siamese spay to earn a National Win in 17 years,
and the fourth ever in CFA history.

I just had a good feeling about this
breeding! One little seal point male
stood out the day he was born and just
got better as he developed. I would
always say, “Connie’s sending us off to
Timbuctoo again”. A light went off in
Connie’s head – let’s name this little
guy, “Timbuctoo”.

It was not a piece of cake with this little, “Maintenance Man”. He was
spoiled, and his first kitten show was a nightmare. He pushed the bars
apart in the ring cages, making his eyes swollen and red. His third show
in Las Vegas, he did it again. He actually liked the shows and the
people, he just wanted to be in someone’s arms. We quit showing him
due to his “escapist tendencies”, but he kept getting prettier. We
brought him back out as an adult. First ring, same thing, but he started
to listen to “Bucky, NO!” He learned to wait until the judges took him out
of his cage. Bucky loved the hotels best! He was in heaven when he got
to sleep with mom. He would play until you drop and would run fast all
over the room having a grand time.
Bucky showed like a dream. Judges would stretch him out and show
the audience his long, hard body and his dark blue eyes. He is refined
like a female, has a smooth head and large ears, perfectly in line with
his wedge. He has a long tail and a short, tight coat. He has very even
color, no spots or stripes anywhere on his body, just even shading with
contrast as the standard calls for on a mature seal point. He is a freechoice eater and stays in condition all on his own.
Linda, Connie and I are proud of our boy. We are ecstatic he achieved
12th Best Cat and Best Siamese Nationally, and Best Cat in Region 2.
Please join us in congratulating all the ‘meezers out this year - it was a
very fine group of exquisite Siamese!

Best Siamese - Kitten
Kittens
GC, RW Kadabra Chocolate Teez
Breeder/Owner:
D. Johnson-C. Roberts-L. Carlson
As we had been on a “baby boy
streak”, I was delighted to call Dee
and Connie to report that Dare to
Dream had delivered two girls – both
chocolates, like mom! As they grew,
it was difficult to tell them apart.
Connie suggested “Teez” and
“Charm” for their names – what a
great choice, particularly for Charm!
At four months, it was time to get
some show experience. Dee and
Connie deliberated – Teez was the
show kitty but it was Charm that got the wins. She “read the memo”
about show presence – kisses, going for toys, up the sisal pole – she
charmed her way to those rosettes! Teez wasn’t impressed. We were
wondering if we should re-evaluate! We started to travel and I
became fast friends with the Frontier Airlines staff who always came
over to see the “two chocolate Siamese kittens”, much to the
exasperation of those behind me in line. They were cat lovers!
Things began to pick up for Teez and, by the time of the National show,
we were thrilled she made two finals and Charm one. The sisters’ last
show together was in Phoenix. I was too sick to go, but we got in the
car for the long drive across the desert. Teez ignored my coughing and
had her best show ever. Then began the long wait!
I am grateful beyond words for Dee and Connie’s generosity in
entrusting me with Dare to Dream and allowing me to have a Souvenir
litter. My very sincere thanks also go to Todd Dotson, Souvenir’s
breeder. There were extraordinarily nice Siamese kittens out this past
season and it was a pleasure to appreciate and admire every one we
saw. Dee, Connie and I wish to congratulate all of the kittens and their
owners. They did the Siamese breed proud!
