Founded in 2002, FATA Logistic Systems S.p.A. is a Finmeccanica company, specialized in the inbound/outbound
logistics, logistic support, transport and freight forwarding,
customs operations and archives digitalization/substitutive
preservation.
Ten years after its establishment, FATA Logistic Systems
keeps on being a company in consistent growth, whose engine for competitive development is the professionalism of
its staff.
Its lean and effective organization, joint to the commitment

FATA Logistic Systems’ main factor of competiveness is its ability in supply chain analysis and design, offering its Customers
consultancy services for the reorganization of the whole supply
chain. The operational competence acquired and consolidated
throughout the years in various industrial environments allows
FATA Logistic Systems implementing the best practices to the
nature and requirements of the Customer, developing innovative solutions.
FATA Logistic Systems is characterized with the commitment
and passion in applying Project Management, Lean Logistics
and Supply Chain Management principles and methodologies in:
•reorganization of the inbound and outbound logistic flows;

Industrial Logistics
FATA Logistic Systems supports its Customers in the management of the inbound and outbound logistics from the goods
receipt to the shipment of finished products, through key processes such as materials planning, expediting and quality
control. The team of logistic engineers, analysts, designers
and Project Managers can transfer their own experience and
the company best practices in material handling, kit preparation, line feeding and process consistency.

Support to Defense
FATA Logistic Systems coordinates the management of the
spare parts logistics for systems deployed in areas of operation:
•management of reprovisioning, in order to maintain
systems efficiency;
•management of the refilling process for inefficient components;
•support of testing activities, management of conformity
certificates and test reports;
•preparation and complete packaging of the Fly-Away Kit;
•management of the logistics flow from and between the
repair contractors.
Furthermore, FATA Logistic Systems can provide – through
partnerships with strategic providers – the logistic support
for the setting-up and management of base camps (surveillance, housekeeping, medical services, canteens and facilities) throughout the world, with particular reference to the
areas of the Middle East, Persian Gulf and Northern Africa.

Transport and Shipment
FATA Logistic Systems can offer the greatest flexibility in order to meet any national and international road, sea and air
transport requirements.
FATA Logistic Systems stands out for a high added value offer

Customs Operations
Thanks to the strategic location of its own customs offices,
FATA Logistic Systems supports its Customers in all the formalities required for the import and export of good, such as:
•ministry authorizations for import and export;
•customs operations in simplified procedure through
telematics, also in case of security materials
and arms (Law 185/90)
•preparation and management of shipping documents
with processing of invoices for the submittal
of the Intrastat forms;
•assistance to the AEO (Authorized Economic Operator)
certification;
•periodical updating workshops on laws and regulations
related to import/export activities.
Thanks to the knowledge and experience accrued in specific
sectors such as the management of the arms and state secret,
FATA Logistic Systems ensures the fast development of the
customs practices as well as the professional coordination of
the import-export operations.
The Company’s continuous relationships with the customs
authorities allow providing services relevant to all types of
international transactions, through an evolved information
system of direct connections to the different Institutions of
Public Authorities.
In order to deal with the aforementioned activities, FATA
Logistic Systems makes available to its Customers:

Fairs and Events
FATA Logistic Systems has accrued specific competences to
organize, monitor and consistently attend all the operations of
shipment and delivery of the materials to the worldwide trade
fairs related to Aerospace & Defense. The dedicated team, which is organized in compliance with the
requirements of the different Customers, consists of qualified
personnel, such as experienced customs declarers with spread
competences in the management of goods in compliance with
ITAR and similar regulations.

Packaging
FATA Logistic Systems is specialized in the design and development of packages in compliance with the chemical and
physical characteristics of the material to be packaged, of the
transport modalities, of the specific requirements indicated by
the Customer as well as of the civil and military regulations,
standards and procedures. Thanks to the availability of specific teams, which can be either permanent or addressed to
a specific event, for the development of packaging materials
for semi-finished components and/or finished products, FATA
Logistic Systems can offer its Customers:
•Standard packaging
definition with the Customer of standard packaging
modalities and accessory activities (treatments, VCI);
•Special Packaging
should the specific product dictate specific packaging
(special shape, carrying saddles), FATA Logistic Systems
provides to its Customers its experience in designing,
prototyping and subsequent manufacturing;
•Containerization
our structures are provided with the appropriate setting
up of the container, stacking of the parcels and preparation
of the documentation relevant to the contents.

Substitutive Preservation
FATA Logistic Systems can manage the archives and hard copies of the documentation – also if confidential – on behalf of
its Customers in secured equipped areas.
Furthermore, FATA Logistic Systems can develop the substitutive preservation of the documents and their dematerialization.
In this field, FATA Logistic Systems has been awarded the pilot
project for the Dematerialization of the Archives of the Ministry
of Defense. The project granted the Defense Industry Agency
(AID) the prize within the framework of the “Less paper, More
value” event.
The initiative consists of the digitalization of the Defense archives and of the implementation of a Sole Center for the
substitutive preservation of the paper documentation.
